It's been done as a simple joke far too often to work again. They had to take it (semi)seriously, flesh it out with a solid scientific core, that was the only way to make it fresh again. Masterful.

I think they would even get around Eurovision's lyrics restrictions regarding explicit content... 😁 After all, Montenegro's Slavko Kalezić already sent a song about sex that was full of space metaphors to Eurovision in 2017.
