  • Ever wonder why people say New York has the best bagels? This video shows you how the bagel got there and why it's a must-have when visiting the Big Apple. Learn more about Bright Trip at www.brighttrip...
Like every good food story the story of the NYC bagel is a mix of migrational patterns, maintaining tradition, and a little sweetener in the form of barley malt or sugar. In this video David talks bagel history, gives you an overview of how to make bagels and what makes them good, and shows you his favorite bagel sandwich from his home town in New Jersey.
Do you have good bagels where you live?

You know you found a good bagel place when the only possible reaction to the bite is a good old fashioned bagel dance.

The bagel epicenter is either Ess-a-Bagel or H&H. Once you've eaten one your next bagel will never be the same!

I believe that it's pronounced beigel in some of Britain's Jewish comunities but I'm no expert, my favourite filling is Pastrami.
