    I'm blown away by the simplicity and creativity, I've been searching for a solution to pressurizing the biogas for the propane appliances at home, the aquarium pump is very affordable as.well as the air mattress, brilliant!

    I would attach a moisture collector into the system, pereferably between the aquarium pump outlet and the generator inlet hose so that I can remove the moisture of the gas being used by the generator. Its a simple solution but it will prolong the life of your sparkplugs.

    My friend that is absolutely awesome! It’s nice that we can run things on multiple levels. Biogas is absolutely priceless especially if you have a farm in lots of ways to create Biogas. The filtration system for Biogas is actually quite simple and allows you to use it for cooking and basically to work in any type of motor with the proper adapter like what you have in that generator. Absolutely appreciate the video very much look forward to seeing any new developments. Could you possibly do a video showing how to compress biogas into cylinders Like you do with propane that would be absolutely cool. Thank you my friend!

    Just a note if you could get a dc pump you could use the battery charging facility that this generator probably has to charge a battery that then powers the pump and then the generator comes on it recharges the battery also don’t recommend people run combustion engines inside doesn’t matter what they burn it should never be done no matter the fuel other than that cool video

      I think that's a really good idea using the battery to run the pump here at my house I have a 2500 gallon water tank behind my house I have a farm I have an on demand pump under the house and solar panel and a Marine deep cycle battery hook to it and the water line is hooked into at the water heater if the well goes out or if the power goes out which it has a couple of times couple problems the last one was a lightning strike to the wire had to run $700 worth of number 10 it's way out away from my house it's very handy it produces 60 PSI and it only runs when something's turned on in the house you can take showers and run the washing machine

    • @william38022
      @william38022 Před 5 měsíci +1

      Truthfully any gas has explosion hazards however the way this guy is doing it it’s actually pretty safe there’s a lot of guys out there trying to pressurize cylinders with this bio gas and there has been explosions happening sometimes because they’re not using the right compressors. The compressors gets hot then you can imagine what happens next ,,,this here is a kiss method and anyone with Horse sense should be able to do this you can use brickage/weight on the gas envelope in this case an air mattress and run a simple burner for a stove and a lot of other things his aquarium pump idea creates a positive gas flow to run a generator long enough to do key essentials in an off grid or grid down situation well pump charge a battery bank etc.

      US carburetor/carburetion sells the motor snorkel kit google US carburetor/carburetion and/or motor snorkel kit however yes you can make a rudimentary fuel delivery system for almost any combustion engine it’s best if it has a petcock valve start it on gasoline warm it up turn the gasoline off and when the engine starts dying out turn on the methane gas or whatever and have a small piece of tubing/heat resistant hose going into the carburetor it may even work going into the air filter area however I’m not sure about the air filter area. I had an old McCullough 5500 W generator years ago it was big yellow generator and there was a diaphragm type deal that went on top of the engine and the carburetor mounted to that I believe it was some type of fiberglass and I very carefully drilled through that diaphragm and inserted copper tubing the same kind of copper tubing they use for icemakers for refrigerators and sealed it with JB Weld. I angled the copper tubing just right toward carburetor opening so it would deliver fuel into the running engine and keep it going I could run that engine on just about anything natural gas propane biogas we even made fuel by using mothballs one time and the engine would suck the gas it produced right out of the container and ran on that for a bit. I suppose you could probably use what they call wood gas also how ever we never tried that . US carburetor would probably be the safer way however in an emergency you get an engine going on a little bit of gasoline and then turn the fuel valve off if you have any kind of a hose going into the opening of that carburetor and it’ll run on just about anything that’s flammable within reason. if you can’t start a generator in an emergency on gasoline first then use a cordless drill and a socket and try and rotate the engine that way until it starts on biogas or whatever you have on hand just make sure you’re turning the engine in the right direction so you don’t ruin it.

      No. Natural gas realases methane and carbon monoxide into the atmosphere, amongst other hideous nitrates. Biogas is methane which when burnt into a oxygen rich environment releases carbon dioxide and water vapour. It's not toxic.

    • @NickFoxQuixand
      @NickFoxQuixand Před 2 lety +1

      natural gas from the grid or bottle is usually high purity methane >97%. Biogas usually contains ~40% carbon dioxide ~60% methane so requires larger bore injectors for a cooker or BBQ and different carburation for an engine. There is also a small amount of hydrogen sulphide ~1% which creates sulphuric acid when it comes into contact with water so can cause long term problems with equipment if not removed.

      @@nialbell8301 Methane is an explosive gas. Explosives unless trying to be initiated, are kept away from heat, shock, or friction. There is air outside of the pump, the pump is producing both heat and friction, and as it isn't rated for explosive gas's suggests there might be concern. I don't think that the fire triangle has much of anything to do with the safety of the pump as it does the outcome if it leaks.

I'm thinking not as you mentioned the wetness of the fuel which makes me think that you are going to make short work of killing that generator with the H2S. uscarburetion may very well have the worst website on planet earth. Although I can't vouch for their slightly higher priced products because I've never dealt with them, centuryfuelproducts has a much better website.
