- Tutorial for windmill weaving. A fun and creative way to upcycle plastic coffee bags into durable and functional baskets. The basket consists of small windmill pieces that are linked to each other. There are many tutorials on CZcams teaching this technique, but the loops are usually made by stapling a rectangle shaped piece to make it a loop shape. This way you can weave without staples, but it also limits the size options when the loop can only be one size.
For the weaving you need:
- empty coffee bags (139pcs)
- paper or cardboard
- scissors or a paper cutter
Size of the strips: 12 x 8,6 cm (calculate to fit your material)
Width of the folded strip: ~2,8 cm
You need 139 strips for this project.
Size of the basket:
Height: ~ 15 cm
Base: ~ 24 x 30 cm

Love the, "no sew," aspect of this bag.
Yes that is nice! Althougt there are some slits that you might want to sew, but it depends on how wide your strips are 😊
Kiitos!
