I love all Drag-racing. However, my pet peeve is when 1/8 racing 'Hard Liners' say..."Pro Mods cant race 1/4 mile cause its too dangerous"...i get that type response or similar all the time. So when i see i video like this....it makes me Smile!!!
Mac B in Australia we call'em 'door slammers'. And Ken Oath, they can run 1/4miles - and quickly too. 5.8s @ 250 mph. Who ever said it was too dangerous is wearing their sister's balls.
I agree drag racing started as 1/4mile so how is it to dangerous

!/4 mile drag racing, the only way to go.
I cannot stand 1/4 mile racing BUT I do have an idea for a cool 1/4 race Pro Mod vs Radial vs the world cars. The pro mods would be a little faster in the 1/8 but it would be awesome to see the radial cars run them down!! Another Idea to make promods cooler to watch is to let the blower cars run the bad ass screw blowers and no cubic inch limit on turbo cars or turbo size, I wonder how a 943ci musi nitrous motor set up for boost with twin 118mm turbos would work,
the radial lane would have to be prepped to them specifically but other than that they all make more than enough power. Obviously this is in general but the top RvW cars run 3.80s with a handfull of 3.79s in there but 3.80s is roughly 6.ohs in 1/4. Its a cool idea but MIR 1st weekend in Nov always has it 1/4 mile with sick times at World Cup import v domestic, Klugger/Fiscus ran 5.9x last year
And I can't stand 1/8th mile racing. That's for girls that are afraid of some mph.

These cars are kind of slow when you consider they are all like 10 litres plus capacity AND running power adders yet imports with only 3 litres capacity are running mid 5s at 250+mph
