I just can't accept this game is free to play. This defines future of gaming, this is something that other AAA studios were not able to release because they care about money, not fanbase. They lack passion. If other company released something like this, this would be 60 dollars expansion with microtransactions and paywalls. Meanwhile a "small indie company" just says "feck here you have future of gaming" while joking about Jojo memes and other stuff. These guys actually plays their own game. I am without words.
It doesn't have anything to do with passion. This game is a successful free to play because it respects its community. In return, the community respects Warframe back by supporting them. Most games are looking forward to rip off the consumer, and when you pay $60 for a game they really don't give a shit whether the game is good or not. Most get away with it because, while people do shit on gaming companies, they don't vote with their wallets and they are mindless brand worshipers. Other companies don't lack passion. They lack respect and appreciation. I am sure that Digital Extremes and Warframe would destroy itself when they forget caring about the players and the community. Like I said, you can be as passionate as you want but if you don't respect the people that are buying/using your product, no amount of passion will help.

But it's such a shame that most players have no idea what to do in a railjack. people don't realize that is one of the best CO-OP space combat experience ever made, i have been playing space games for years like Elite dangerous and Star citizen, but Railjack is by far the best even if it's just an expansion for an already great game, such wasted potential.

This is not what we have now in raijack. That earth space map is barren and looks empty. What we have now is HORSE EXCREMENT OF THE WORST DEGREE. I think DE gave us the worst beta copy ever. I want to have THIS quality in Railjack missions.
I love coming back to watch this demo, the concepts are all really great, and ever since the Orbiter hub was introduced I suggested a few times if we could use it to fly to missions within the solar system. I think the problem with this Railjack preview though is that people simply don't play this way in game. They rush through it as fast as they can like everything else in the game. It is another farming activity instead of a game mode where people get to enjoy the full experience available to them. It was very exciting at first to get on board enemy crewships and fly them around for a while to assist against fighters, (I remember people doing this all the time when Railjack was new) but the objective is always to kill crewships, never to capture them, so eventually people realised there was no point. Once most of us max out RJ artillery, it is the fastest and easiest way to kill them - one person can kill several crew ships in about 30 seconds. Also compare this to the 2018 Tennocon preview, and there are way less 'teamplay' elements, like deactivating shields and taking over individual security systems on enemy ships. While it's cool to watch people work together, it's just so slow in reality, and impossible to coordinate with a stranger who might not even speak the same language as you. DE also seem to have accepted that some people would just rather be shooting things than hacking them on the UI. (I've seen the same complaints about TNW, where people would rather be "playing Warframe" than doing a story quest). The squad link idea is also very cool, and hopefully they manage to implement it some day, but I imagine it has a similar problem where you are waiting on someone you can't even see to complete their objective so that you can finish yours. anthem is a miserable failure from the very start and shouldn't be used as an example of an AAA game, it would be fairer to compare warframe to destiny 2 or division, at least those games try to keep a content cadence up
Because in order to do stuff like this, you need to invest in your game. Most companies want to maximize the profit while minimizing the quality as much as possible. To make this you need manpower, money and skill. Most games that become popular sort of degrade in quality for a while (because they have players) before giving a mid-sized update somewhere down the line. PS: Warframe should be categorized as AAA game. Come on, now. Just because you never heard of it before doesn't mean that it doesn't have all the quality of what AAA game is supposed to have.

Not all of it was scrapped. Most of the core of railjack was is still in Warframe Currently. We are just Missing a bunch of other stuff DE said they will eventually add corpus and rework the intrinsic system. They def have to work on the Railjack modes and add the weather thing to make stuff more complex. They have alot that we didn't get. The only thing I'm happy and sad to see go is the amount of rocks. It looks cool but probably would be hard to move around honestly.
The Lowspot this wouldn’t be a problem if they would of just took their time with the update instead of just throwing it out with all those bugs and unfinished work

I mean fortuna had atrocious optimization on release and now its quite solid. Warframe is built on a lot of spaghetti code so it needs constant tweaking, it's good that they are so active.

We were promised this, and got the shitiest most watered down version of it ever, that launched broken, repetitive and pointless. Not to mention the Kuva Lich system ended up being even worse, and in NO WAY AT ALL connected to railjack. This is a fucking cocktease.

@@MEYH3M As of August 2021: -Squad Link isn’t implimented into railjack -Void Storms are just a node instead of a real-time instances that come in during any mission you do -Grineer missions are still skirmish everywhere (with weird enemy scaling compared to the corpus nodes) -Kuva Liches do have the Railjack section but no interaction with the galleon ship as shown. -The Squad Host’s Railjack just spawns in, rather than being summoned by whoever the group decides who’s railjack they want. -Jupiter & Heliosphere do not exist as of now (Heliosphere may be just the Veil Proxima with a rename but if thats the case it is no “resource” place) -Galleon Ship doesn’t get destroyed after completing the mission (Probably an animation decision change) -From the Fortuna/Railjack trailer, you can’t call in the railjack from an open world setting and leave to a certain place. There also changes to the core gameplay now compared to the trailers: -AI crew are more like “fill in substitutes” for players instead of “provides upgrades”. -On archwing, the ship models are a good bit bigger than what they are now. -Planets & Locations are more like star charts than “random encounters”, although with corpus railjack, they are striving towards that.
I was excited until I hopped on and saw the amount of grinding it would take to get the railjack ready. I just wanted to explore space with my friends man.
That Shadow of Mordor/War Kingpin system though. Fuck. How does Warframe continue to successfully reinvent itself every other year while AAA franchises fail to innovate beyond what's expected of them? It's crazy how much this game has changed over the past 6 years. Hopefully No Man's Sky continues down this road too. Every other long running game that comes to mind fails in comparison.
Imagine this: If you lose to often while fighting your lich in direct combat or if you fail a requiem whisper mission you have a chance of your warframe being taken hostage. If you dont rescue it within say 1 real life week its destroyed. In order to rescue it, you'll have to complete a spy/survival to find it, a sabotage/hijack/exterminate mission to weaken the enemy base holding your frame, then finally a defense/rescue. In the final one where your captured frame is in play if you use transference instead of your operator joining the fray, you bounce between the frames. Alternatively you can outsource with the squad link so if you're not strong enough another team can go in and rescue your frame. The captured frame will then just have the strength and intelligence of a tier 1-3 spectre depending on the mission level. Edit: or instead of bouncing between frames, you have to relink your mind to the stolen frame. Once relinked the frame you brought along to the rescue is sent back to the ship and you continue using the modless stolen frame. (Mods are never taken away, just unequipped upon losing the frame). Yet another option, you have to rescue it via operator only, but you can have an escort of your friends or friendly tenno to help you. If you go down while in this state you just drop like a normal frame. If done this way you cant outsource the final mission, unless some gear is added to restore the link. Mission level can be based on: Lich level, mastery rank, or planet level.

We were promised this, and got the shitiest most watered down version of it ever, that launched broken, repetitive and pointless. Not to mention the Kuva Lich system ended up being even worse, and in NO WAY AT ALL connected to railjack. This is a fucking cocktease.

So the help request is only for clan/alliance/friends who plays? Mmmmhh... It could be better if any other player can take your signal, little clans will be disadvantaged
It says "a prioritized list" I'm sure it can go to outside that list if it doesn't find someone in say like 30 seconds.

@@MEYH3M most of it is in game now, but this comment was was 5 months ago, back than barely any of what they showed here was in the game, and duviri paradox still isn’t here, but there’s an official reason for that (delayed due to COVID 19)

-Squad Link isn’t implimented into railjack
-Void Storms are just a node instead of a real-time instances that come in during any mission you do
-Grineer missions are still skirmish everywhere (with weird enemy scaling compared to the corpus nodes)
-Kuva Liches do have the Railjack section but no interaction with the galleon ship as shown.
-The Squad Host’s Railjack just spawns in, rather than being summoned by whoever the group decides who’s railjack they want.
-Jupiter & Heliosphere do not exist as of now (Heliosphere may be just the Veil Proxima with a rename but if thats the case it is no “resource” place)
-Galleon Ship doesn’t get destroyed after completing the mission (Probably an animation decision change)
-From the Fortuna/Railjack trailer, you can’t call in the railjack from an open world setting and leave to a certain place.
There also changes to the core gameplay now compared to the trailers:
-AI crew are more like “fill in substitutes” for players instead of “provides upgrades”.
-On archwing, the ship models are a good bit bigger than what they are now.
-Planets & Locations are more like star charts than “random encounters”, although with corpus railjack, they are striving towards that.
I was excited until I hopped on and saw the amount of grinding it would take to get the railjack ready. I just wanted to explore space with my friends man.

How does Warframe continue to successfully reinvent itself every other year while AAA franchises fail to innovate beyond what's expected of them? It's crazy how much this game has changed over the past 6 years. Hopefully No Man's Sky continues down this road too. Every other long running game that comes to mind fails in comparison.

Imagine this: If you lose to often while fighting your lich in direct combat or if you fail a requiem whisper mission you have a chance of your warframe being taken hostage. If you dont rescue it within say 1 real life week its destroyed. In order to rescue it, you'll have to complete a spy/survival to find it, a sabotage/hijack/exterminate mission to weaken the enemy base holding your frame, then finally a defense/rescue. In the final one where your captured frame is in play if you use transference instead of your operator joining the fray, you bounce between the frames. Alternatively you can outsource with the squad link so if you're not strong enough another team can go in and rescue your frame. The captured frame will then just have the strength and intelligence of a tier 1-3 spectre depending on the mission level.
Edit: or instead of bouncing between frames, you have to relink your mind to the stolen frame. Once relinked the frame you brought along to the rescue is sent back to the ship and you continue using the modless stolen frame. (Mods are never taken away, just unequipped upon losing the frame). Yet another option, you have to rescue it via operator only, but you can have an escort of your friends or friendly tenno to help you. If you go down while in this state you just drop like a normal frame. If done this way you cant outsource the final mission, unless some gear is added to restore the link.
Mission level can be based on: Lich level, mastery rank, or planet level.
