Hey! I know you used Medibang before so what made you switch? What's better about Krita, if you don't mind me asking? ❤
Hi, I mostly switched because krita had more brush options, especially in regards to wet brushes, but now that I've been using krita for over a year I definitely feel as if krita just has...more EVERYTHING options. It has advanced layer management and editing, a ridiculous amount of filters, a lot of customizability, customizable keyboard shortcuts for everything imaginable, an entire animation workspace, the ability to install independent plugins, ridiculously in-depth brush options...I think the only thing medibang does better is its comic creation system and that it is easier to use for new digital artists who don't want to be overloaded with options. When I used medibang I would often want something or try to do something and find out I couldn't do it easily in medibang, but a quick google search is enough to figure out how to do it in krita.
@@Alartriss thank you for your in-depth response! ❤
@@-taemiso-292 i'm busy switching from photoshop to krita, and i'm already beginning to like krita more. i don't like the idea that photoshop's gone cloud/subscription, and i'm not missing it one bit. i foresee a lot of great developments in krita, and now realise photoshop is overrated and definitely overpriced.
@@yoservs Hey any updates on how you are finding Krita 10 months later compared to photoshop? And is there any way for me to see a preview of some work you've done on Krita. I just downloaded it yesterday lol so a bit of a newbie haha.
@@jaace2665 still going strong man. i get commissioned to do artwork for children's school textbooks and i'm busy writing a graphic novel. still early days for the art, so not much of my best yet. my color and drawing work for the stuff i'm working on is still elementary, but if you really want to see them, drop me an email adress, then i'll send you some stuff. just dig into krita immediately and learn as you go along. it's a dedicated artists' tool, you'll enjoy it.
I really like the contrast in black and white, it looks very soft
Can we take a moment to appreciatte how organized his/her tool things are-
Such an atmospheric piece! It's always fun to watch how others use Krita. I hope you're having a nice day ^_^
You've got such a cool style and methods to your work, dope job!
I just know the greyscale method, its really difficult to learn. Your tutorial and other drawing process video gives a clear understanding, thanks! I love your art style💖
im glad i could help!
the painting is so beautiful, also the background music makes the video very atmospheric, i love it sm
I just discovered your channel! Love your art so much 🥰 Thank you for sharing your art process
My toxic trait is thinking i can draw this in one go within my 1 week of experience in krita with a mouse ;-;
dude same
The shading is so good!!!!!
This was so amazing I just fell in love with it.. U r so underrated I'm so sad that I found u so late. Hopefully u get appreciated in future.
Beautiful work!!!😊
Keep it up. You're Drawings Are So Beautiful ❤️
Fantastic job, congrats!
That's a pretty good art like the style
Amazing work
it's beautiful
Aack waited for this 😭💜
love it
Very cool!
Very good !!!!!!
Вот это ты фокускница, когда начала красить чб!!! Потрясающе😮, всё пыталась понять как это произошло👏🏻
so cool
so cool :3
Wow, you've drawn this for only 2.5 hours! I've drawn something for almost a whole day and it's not as good as this 😢. I found some insights though so thanks.
super nice from 2022 :D
Krita 5.0 just released and has a recorder now. I'm still learning stuff on krita as I don't draw often or if I draw on krita, I'm not finishing any projects or a very few. Finishing a project on krita takes me a week or so. I wish that I could go a little faster than that. And that's only for simple projects like drawing animals or characters without background.
im new to kritika, because first i used IBISPAINT.. I love to watch your speedpaints because i can see better how to do things. Do you have any tips on finding good brushes? Because thats my last struggle, the brushes dont do their things and they have so many options to edit a brush, haha
I love your all work, so amazing *u* Can you do list your normal and edited brusches?
hello! unfortunately i am always changing the brushes i use as i find ones that i'd love to incorporate into my style so any list i make will never be comprehensive. i will consider making a video on what i use now, though!
smooth how you make it
What was tha grey detailing I wanna learn and how did you change its color
if only such creations could be made using a mouse
Can I know the brush sets/presets u used in this piece? Thankyou ^^
What brushes do you use?
hi, which brush do you use?
Can u please explain how did u make that hat ?
wow so much
rendering on the face
what brushes do you use
i like that u drew where the light is coming from im super new to krita/art in general ^_^ how did you smudge move things?
there is a default krita brush called "Distort Move", and that is what i normally use to smudge move stuff !
@@Alartriss thank uu!
Could anyone help me? I’m stuck between Krita and photoshop , which should I choose? I’m a young artist and I wish to draw as good and make masterpieces like this 🌟!
hi there, both krita and photoshop are very good softwares; i mostly stick with krita because i believe in using free, open source software if it is an adequate alternative to paid software. if you have the money to do so though i would recommend trying them both out for a bit and seeing what you find more comfortable to learn to draw in ^_^ ultimately an artist can make the exact same artworks in both programs because artistic skill is more important than the tools you are using .
if you still can’t decide for yourself, you could try searching “krita vs photoshop” on youtube, a ton of people have made videos comparing them and maybe they will help!
good luck with your art journey \(*’▽’*)/
@@Alartriss tysm for the motivation , keep up your great art videos! Very inspiring 🌟
NEVER Photoshop. Only use Photoshop if you're going to crack it. Don't give Adobe money, their greedy ass strategy shouldn't be compensated. If you're willing to pay for software, then Affinity Designer has Affinity Photo integration and does an incredible job for drawing and retouching anything.
Or just stick with Krita for a free open-source alternative.
What's your canvas size and dpi settings for this piece? Been thinking of switching to Krita for better brush options after years of medibang use :(
hi, this painting was 2400 x 3000 pixels, which is equivalent to a 8 inches by 10 inches painting at 300 pixels per inch (according to krita. i dont really know how the real life conversions work since i dont do prints. i just like to work with 2000-3000 pixels because my pc can handle it and i get lots of detail)
How do you do the resizing thing?
i select the thing i want to resize with the lasso tool (in krita it is called "outline selection tool" and can be found on the toolbar on the left) and then i transformed it with the transform tool ("transform a layer or selection", also on the toolbar.)
can i ask u used krita's brushes or ur custom ones?
I use a mixture of default and custom brushes ^_^
Can anyone tell me how they do that tjing with the blue at about 4.16? 🙇♀️
i put the grayscale painting into a layer group, made a new layer on top, and put the new layer on clipping mode (the crossed out alpha on the layers docker). then i set the new layer to the "color" blending mode and filled it with blue.
i go into more detail on this method in this tutorial: czcams.com/video/qcC_9dahX0I/video.html
@@Alartriss thank you! I will try this!
You make comic books?
Hi! Can I ask how did u record this? I also want to record mine but i don’t know how to :((
i recorded it with obs studio ^_^
Wait was this drawn with a mous?
What kind of drawing tablet did you use?
i used a huion h950p ^_^
@@Alartriss Thanks!
Version krita?
4.3.0
What brushes do you use
the brushes i use vary but you can usually find the name of the one i am using on the bottom left side of the screen!
What's the name of ur drawing tablet
I have a Huion H950p ^_^
I switched to my 2 other yt acc just to make it 1K
Bro which brush u used for line art?
for this painting i used a default krita brush called "pencil" it is just a hard round with opacity and size changing with pressure
No way it's Done By using a Mouse ... ^ ^
It's not, they're using a drawing tablet
Presta la música :v
