Great demo. I bought the neck pup for a thinline S-H Tele copy project I am building. I also bought a 4-wire Tele-single-size Hotrail humbucker for the bridge. Wasn't thinking about splitting them until I heard you here.
Wilkinson make pretty good products I got tuners and a replacement bridge from them for a guitar I built it is easily one of my fav guitars
Excelent well done video . Great tone and listen to that long sustain ringing out . Nice playing . Nice full full rich sounding chords , picking etc . A new level of superb thick strat tones . I got 2 sets . Ceramic and Alnico sets , Series 3 . Amazing fat tone with longest sustain I ever heard .
I ordered a set of these pickups, going to replace the "Duncan Designed" pups in my Schecter PT Fastback Tele... which do sound great, but seeking a change of look & sound... I put some Wilkinson Alnico Single Coils in my Strat style guitar recently and they sound spectacular... you get a lot of BANG for your Buck with this brand.
I am currently building my first guitar and because of your video I just ordered these pickups! Also the wiring you chose sounds amazing! You don't happen to have the schematics for that, do you?
Personally I find position 4 much more pleasing than 2, and I'd probably switch them myself just to get around a bit easier.
And that neck is totally a jazz with a bit more top end.
Yeah, minus the slug coil sound (which isn't bad, just a little thin for my personal taste), all in all they're great!

Thanks for the video. These pickups do sound very nice and have a kind of vintage vibe too. I was suprised that in split coil mode (positions 2 & 4) they could sound this good. I would like to do this to one of my strats too using the same pickups as these are such a good buy imo. Is there a wiring diagram to get the 5 way switch to operate the same as yours does? Best wishes.
You need a 5 way super switch (4poles). Not the standard 5 way switch

Awesome Pickups I just took out the dimarzio air pickups they were weak in one of my guitars I did not want to spend alot of money on .. Put The Wilkinson Classic PAF Ceramic in neck and the Alnico 5 in Bridge these pickups are great perfect Rush tone with out all the Mids like in the Gibson 498T I was amazed at the tone just incredible with great responsiveness , Both Pickups on Amazon for $52 incredible ...
I did exactly the same in a hohner les Paul. I didn't find the more expensive alnico was necessary in neck position. And it ends up being a great match with a great middle position and clarity and great bite in bridge position. Cheers

Those are passives pickup so its 500k

Holy cow... HOW did you get "quack" with 2 humbuckers?!? I LOVE position 2 (and 4), and you definitely showed me a TRICK today! I heard you say that you were using a 5 way super switch, is that putting your coil splits out of phase? Genuinely curious, and GREAT JOB! Killer tone comin outta that Affinity!

i cam say that the pickups are hot pickups,
I just want to ask why legatto is not good ing ceramic pick up and it the sound is is not clear? i tried in alnico it seems it is more good to use leggato in this kind of pick up and mostly tapping

You wired them backwards. Black is ground. Yellow is hot. Red and white are soldered together, and taped- unless you're splitting the coils.
Interesting how a strat with humbuckers still sounds like a strat to some 60-65%.
