tomesha believed there was water down there and everybody thought she was crazy but that is why you should always believe in someone even if yo think they are wrong.
I love this story it really shows feminism and how strong we can be it really annoyed me when the mom and sister just let the guy take all the praise bc “that’s how things work” when they both knew damn well
Well, they are examples of women who have given up. I cannot be completely mad at them for it though. Not everyone has the same strength to stand alone. They needed more than just themselves to stand up against sexist ideals and "how things work." They need a team: they need others. And they couldn't find them.
That's not their fault.
They needed Thomesha. They needed someone who would help them up not kick them down. And she did.
One person is strong, but a group is unbeatable. And now Seri has the strength to say "F** you" to the villagers and go back to studying. She's a follower that needed a leader, and she got it. It's *not* a bad thing to be a follower despite what we are often taught. Because followers are what makes leaders, like Tomesha, strong.

This story needed to show more about women rights and about gender equality too the opposite gender and about how downgrade and favoritism to children is wrong and you might end up becoming mentally unstable.
Tomesha deserved so much respect and credit. All those people would be eatting their words with what they said. Especially the girl and women who only talked down at each other instead of helping the other, being smart is a new kind of weapon for survival. I love how tomesha shows that woman can do the same thing as men Even tho they are always doubted and when they are they end up doing something Amazing.
I typically won't trust someone if they blunder three times in a row. But if they don't flub anything the same amount of times, then I can. It balances things out. I respect others can fail but I believe everyone has an off period and it's best not to try getting their help during that. Otherwise, it could end up like a Looolny Tune
