The red dress with white trim was perfection. But not as a mini - it looked so cool AND sophisticated as-is.

I also love that red dress, absolutely beautiful! I’m really glad you didn’t buy it and take it to the tailor to make it smaller though. I’m a UK size 16 (US 12 I think) and I love vintage dresses but the larger sizes are harder to come by (in my experience). When I walk in to a vintage or thrift shop the majority of what’s there isn’t a possibility for me to wear because I don’t fit in to it. If you are a smaller size you can wear bigger sizes and style it however you want and I am ALL for that. But once something is tailored to be smaller it’s permanently removed from the already small pool of vintage clothes suitable for bigger bodies. Unless of course, the tailor leaves the extra fabric within the seams so it could be altered back but realistically I’m not sure how often that happens.
