Anthem of Austria - "Land der Berge, Land am Strome" (Instrumental)

Land der Berge, Land am Strome (translated from German as "Land of mountains, country of streams") - since October 22, 1946, the federal anthem of Austria.
The music of the anthem is taken from the last work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the "Masonic Cantata" (German: Freimaurerkantate), which he completed 19 days before his death, on December 5, 1791. In modern musicology, however, it is believed that this particular melody was written not by Mozart, but by his fellow Masonic lodge Johann Holzer. For a modern orchestral composition, the melody of the end of the 18th century was arranged by Max Schönherr. The words of the anthem were written by Paula von Preradovich and approved on a competitive basis in 1947.
