- How to do masters in usa in less than 20 lakhs ? How to do ms in us in very low budget ? This video is going to answer these two important questions. Let's go !
When you are planning to do ms in us , you will have -
*** 3 main types of expenses
- before coming to masters ( application process, tickets to come to us, gre, toefl, coaching , consulting ) 1.5-3 lakh
- Tuition fees for two years ( keep this below 35k )
- Living expenses for two years ( below 15k )
*** My personal story - only used 11 lakhs from loan and paid off my loan before I graduated before I started my full time job.
*** Be ready to work hard.
*** How do you keep these 3 expenses low ?
- find ways to do things on your own to save money
- write your own sops and lors , refer online material available
*** How are you going to pay for these expenses ?
- Your savings from job should pay for at least the process fees.
- How much ever loan you take, keep a goal to only use it to pay for your first and second semester fees max and first semester expenses
- 20K + ( 600$ * 11 = ~$7000 ) = 27K ( 18-19 lakhs )
*** Important non negotiables -
- 1. get on campus job 20hrs/ week , dont give up on this . this is must
---- 12$/hour job * 20 hours = 240 * 4 weeks = 960$ / month
---- save 300$ for next sem living expenses every month

- 2. get summer internship ( hourly pay 40$ / hour )
------- 40$/hour * 40 hours = 1600$/week * month = 6400$
------- save 4000$ per month * 3 = 12000$
------- this will pay for your next semester and you can save some money too to pay for your living expenses
- 3. Converting your summer internship into fall and sprint co ops

------ if your internship doesnt convert, look for co op.
- save for fees for next semesters and living expenses , keep your on campus job going along with internship and co op

My stats is as below:
Currently studying 1st semester MS EE@SDSU
Disbursed loan amount 10 lakh.
Tuition + out of state fee: $8000/semester
Health insurance: $1500/year, can be paid in two halves.
Oncampus Job - TA for 5hrs - $268/month (after all deduction)
Apartment rent: diplomat - $2025/6=$337.5
Groceries, electricity, WiFi, and other expenses - $120
Apartment initial setup cost : $150-200 - lights, kitchen and bathroom supplies.
Working on my internship search and going well according to the timeline you have told.

No in general they will cost you more than 20 but the goal of this video is how to get your contribution ( from loan or your savings ) to that cost below 20 .

One very imp ques sir, I am from IT background (Sinhgad vadgaon pune). I have seen that SJSU doesn't consider IT as a CS background . In this case I'll have to either go with software engineering masters or take pre requisites which I am not willing to.
Actually SE is better than CS in SJSU so go for SE

Recently i was checking the cost of living in San Jose , the rent seems to be quite high. In such places 600$ is required only for rent, even though you share with 5 people. Am i correct? About SJSU , generally people share 2BHK home with 7-9 people which keeps the rent below 450 . And then about 200$ or less is for all other expenses.

Hi Sir, I completely agree with this smart strategy of yours to complete Ms in a most efficient way as possible. But, to avoid any kind of risk, I'm planning to take my 4 semester fee as bank loan ( tuition fee, study materials fee, flight ticket etc ) and do part time job to cover my living expenses. Is this a good way to go forward?

Yeah but you need to be IIT+IIM and 330+ GRE score, then you can get 100scholarship on tuition
