Im extremely upset we couldn't get a win before the members began heading off to military. If Pentagon get a win without Jinho... Or seriously any member... Its going to be such a bittersweet moment. Hui has worked so hard to give his members a win. We were SO sure Shine would win something... But there's something seriously wrong with music shows and voting; we Universe tried so HARD to give them a win with Dr Bebe and STILL NOTHING. These boys debuted in 2016; faced ALOT of shit and lost a member(and Yanan is still MIA) and still only ranked third in RTK when they were the senior group... "They threw away the comp for a farewell to Jinho." I feel they did what their performance was MEANT TO DO. They engaged the audience and made sure everyone was watching. Basquiat truly does feel like a stepping stone; and if this does get promoted(or when their next CB drops) we have to try to give these boys a win. It may be different without Jinho but if Jinho can come home to the boys having a win... It would mean alot to the boys; especially Hui.
@@DumiNihi Yanan mentioned in December that he was feeling better, and that he was ready to come back to Pentagon, and that he contacted cube asking for a schedule but they never got back to him. Also Yanan metioned that once he's done filming his drama he'll be back with Pentagon for their next comeback.

They saved my life. literally. not even my ult EXO gave me that strength during my lowest when i was desperately trying to find comfort (i still love EXO to death dont get me wrong) but Pentagon's songs saved me. *Their lyrics helped me when i really thought i couldnt find anything to get through anymore in my depression* It's exasperating, i know. i feel all that you said about them. Why such a group that helped so many people continued to get so much hate i dont get it.
Same things happened to me a while ago with Pentagon. They helped me through so much in my life. And it hurts to see people hate on them constantly. *also I remember talking to a while ago about them lol*

I've never seen universe bring other fandoms down never even when other fandoms hate on pentagon. Pentagon honestly doesn't deserve this much hate that get with everything that do. Literally everything they do they get hate from so many other fandoms (like what had happened when they did the kill this love cover) and most of the time those other fandoms dont even know the whole story all they wanna do is pull them down. Pentagon has been there through all the wrong in my life and continues too and I feel horrible that I cant do anything to help them when it comes to fans hating on them or when I cant make them happy when they are so hurt after not doing well with Dr.bebe or RTK.

I cried with you, Ben. And It's really difficult to put into words how to explain the feelings about it. I remember your speech during the dr. Bebe reaction and let me tell you, as an active voting/streaming universe in the fandom, we all worked hard to get at least one win. But they didn't even get nominated and we really don't know what we did wrong. The sales were good, the stream was better than previous cbs... but somehow it seems everything is always against them (or us). Then RTK happened, idk if you acknowledge this but the fandom (and pentagon) got lots of hate, during the stream some fandom played dirty as well against us. It was frustrating, universe is not a problematic fandom and we don't participate in fanwars so the constant hate towards pentagon was stressing us and making us all anxious, angry and sad. Pentagon didn't win there either. They've been working so hard all these years, like really hard. Sleepless nights, several meetings and whatnot, they're always showing a smile on their faces and keep working harder, truly inspirational artists. I want people to APPRECIATE THEM, to LISTEN TO THEM, to realize they're more than singing or dancing. They're so much more than that, it makes me proud but also sad.

I almost cried seeing you cry... I understand the feeling. I've been an Universe since day one, even before they debuted and I always say to everyone how underrated Pentagon is. I can't understand why they never win, why they never get a chance. People hate on them since always and I don't even know why. Universes are so sweet and caring and yet all we get is hate over and over again. RTK was a good chance for them to show the people who didn't know them how talented they are and yet it wasn't enough to stop people from hating on them. When Jinho enlisted, my world collapsed with them because I understood what they were feeling, the insecuries of what the future holds, I am constantly scared that I'm gonna wake up one day and they will be gone. But this song and performance gave me hope that the future will be better. I'm glad to know that even though they've been through so much, they still manage to get up and fight again. They're not giving up and so am I. I'll be here till the very end and I know that even if people try to knock us down, we'll always get up and fight again. I'm proud of them, I'm proud of who they're and what they're teaching me. I'm proud of being an Universe.

Hey, I'm an extremely new Universe and I've only been a part of the fandom for a month or so, so I don't know all the inter workings, but what I will say is that when learning about Pentagon and listening to their music, it just hits different than any other group I have learned and listened too. Music in general can get through some dark days, especially Pentagon's and sometime I think Music is my only friend. So, to learn that they haven't won anything doesn't make me angry or fuel my fire, it just makes me sad to know that their hard work and dedication to their craft that they love has gone vaguely unnoticed. So, after this long rant, I will say I am going to continue to support Pentagon in what ever they do and I hope that people will see how special they are.

ben this was so sincere, i actually feel the same way. For years i have been really depressed, dark thoughts always came into my mind but this song was like a wake up alarm, to open my eyes and see everything i was missing. I cry everytime i hear "i wanna hear your voice", because for years i have been silent, silent about how i felt, no one knew what was going on, forcing smiles and pretend that i was ok, but in fact that was destroying me, pretending that anything was happening when a lot of things were happening. This song meants to me so much. They basically told "speak louder, to shout out, scream and shout and let it out" like if my voice and true colors really meant something. I actually cannot explain how i feel in reality with pentagon's music. Every single song they have means so much to me. This is the beginning of something awesome, pentagon is now on a very different level. And i have grown together with them, and i will become a better person.

When Dr. Bebe didn't get a win, I cried. When Pentagon didn't win RTK, I cried. When Shinwon cried after RTK, I cried. Pentagon deserves SO MUCH MORE. I hope people starts supporting groups based on their talents, not their CZcams views.
I dont know why... But Hui's part -all their parts- made me cry. It just gave me a felling of hope as well as despair. It was somehow really powerful how he spat the lyrics out like poison yet worded them so carefully as if threading a needle. It was so enchanting and powerful just to hear the emotion not even knowing what the lyrics are in the first place (i watched it the first time without subtitles) I love how when Hui starts off he plucks the works off his tongue but it progressively gets more strained and forceful. With that "God bless you" cued my sobbing because it gelt like they reached out and touched your heart personally. They told you that it all depends on you- not anyone else, YOU. YOU are the future. YOU are your own destiny and YOU make YOUR CROWN. Other than that this song gave me a sense of security and passion. It made me tingle with happiness as well as angst and light. It made me want to reach out to each and every member and sincerely thank them for putting me in a sense of peace as well as security and love. All while making me feel like i wasn't just another fish in the sea. Another person in this world of 7.5 billion people and a true, proud UNIVERSE. It painted a pallette of emotions filling me with hope and happiness while also making me sad and angry, anxious and incriedibly strong. It made me feel as if i could break a wall but it also wrapped me in a warm blanket. For me too, it was a wake up call. It was a cry of victory and a lost battle at the same time. It was just like being wrapped in honey as well as jumping in ice. I really hope you read this and connect to it personally. I came to this video because of a Facebook group called ''Pentagon International Fan Group'', someone recommended your video and I was not disappointed. I truly understand your frustration - how can this wonderful group not have a win yet?? I'm a Uni since late 2018, and am so in love with them and keep hoping for their first win, it's almost unhealthly. I don't understand why they aren't more popular, they have everything! I've been watching Pentagon since RTK (so sad I discovered them so late) and every SINGLE time this song makes my body react, which blows my mind. They’ve had so many songs that should have won awards that at this point I’m not taking music shows seriously anymore (maybe that’s an exaggeration, but they really should have had multiple wins at this point). They’re constantly improving and working themselves to the bone. I want them to take a break but at the same time their ability to never give up gives me so much motivation in life. I know that when they finally make it big as a group they’ll have a fandom full of people who really love them and (like Hui said in RTK) they’ll be known as a perfect groups that’s good in all aspects. When Pentagon gets their first win, the universe will cry (literally).
What I love about PENTAGON is the passion every single member holds. I've been an UNIVERSE since their debut with Gorilla and they went through HELL to be where they are. What angers me is that every since 2016 THEY ARE STILL UNDERRATED. Not even Shine got a win, the only remarkable goal they achieved with that song was that it debuted in Billboard's list, Hui said that there were a lot of tears and joy all over the place. Everyone would kill to see that again. I remember in the RTK episode where they got first with their collab performance with ONF, it was heartbreaking and painful to see Kino crying because that was technically the very first time they got first in ANYTHING. The passion they hold is something I don't see in any other male group I know, they never gave up, they never give up and they will never give up. The fact that their hardwork is still unappreciated pisses me off, and I know all of us UNIVERSES feel that way. So for the people who don't stan PTG, SHAME ON YOU. Because you're missing out on a MASTERPIECE of a group, and like Sunwoo said on the finale of RTK, the scores or wins wont define your value and what you are capable of. You are not born with talent, you CREATE the talent. And honestly, PENTAGON had that crown ever since day one, because that's where it belongs, and no one is going to take it away from them.

Basquiat is a masterpiece. The talent in Pentagon is UNMATCHED! And, I think the feelings we have toward (because of?) our idols is universal. Somehow their existence and art, and the relationship we have to it, and how meaningful it is to us, really can't be put into words; it is just so uniquely special.

I felt that... Their songs do really cause me to feel mixed emotions. Probably because they are putting their own emotions to every music they create. Hello, i am a baby universe. Only recently got into them thanks to RTK and I had seriously thought they had various wins because, the quality of their music is like, crazy good. And it stresses me out that some people just don't see the masterpieces these guys come out with. I just wanna go scream off how much love and support these guys deserve.

Im extremely upset we couldn't get a win before the members began heading off to military. If Pentagon get a win without Jinho... Or seriously any member... Its going to be such a bittersweet moment. Hui has worked so hard to give his members a win. We were SO sure Shine would win something... But there's something seriously wrong with music shows and voting; we Universe tried so HARD to give them a win with Dr Bebe and STILL NOTHING. These boys debuted in 2016; faced ALOT of shit and lost a member(and Yanan is still MIA) and still only ranked third in RTK when they were the senior group... "They threw away the comp for a farewell to Jinho." I feel they did what their performance was MEANT TO DO. They engaged the audience and made sure everyone was watching.
Basquiat truly does feel like a stepping stone; and if this does get promoted(or when their next CB drops) we have to try to give these boys a win. It may be different without Jinho but if Jinho can come home to the boys having a win... It would mean alot to the boys; especially Hui.

Yes, i get what you say about feeling hurt. I also feel angry (like some sort of injustice) and targeted, like we're being bullied as a fandom. I cried with you, Ben. And It's really difficult to put into words how to explain the feelings about it. I remember your speech during the dr. Bebe reaction and let me tell you, as an active voting/streaming universe in the fandom, we all worked hard to get at least one win. But they didn't even get nominated and we really don't know what we did wrong. The sales were good, the stream was better than previous cbs... but somehow it seems everything is always against them (or us). Then RTK happened, idk if you acknowledge this but the fandom (and pentagon) got lots of hate, during the stream some fandom played dirty as well against us. It was frustrating, universe is not a problematic fandom and we don't participate in fanwars so the constant hate towards pentagon was stressing us and making us all anxious, angry and sad. Pentagon didn't win there either. They've been working so hard all these years, like really hard. Sleepless nights, several meetings and whatnot, they're always showing a smile on their faces and keep working harder, truly inspirational artists. I want people to APPRECIATE THEM, to LISTEN TO THEM, to realize they're more than singing or dancing. They're so much more than that, it makes me proud but also sad.

I almost cried seeing you cry... I understand the feeling. I've been an Universe since day one, even before they debuted and I always say to everyone how underrated Pentagon is. I can't understand why they never win, why they never get a chance. People hate on them since always and I don't even know why. Universes are so sweet and caring and yet all we get is hate over and over again. RTK was a good chance for them to show the people who didn't know them how talented they are and yet it wasn't enough to stop people from hating on them. When Jinho enlisted, my world collapsed with them because I understood what they were feeling, the insecuries of what the future holds, I am constantly scared that I'm gonna wake up one day and they will be gone. But this song and performance gave me hope that the future will be better. I'm glad to know that even though they've been through so much, they still manage to get up and fight again. They're not giving up and so am I. I'll be here till the very end and I know that even if people try to knock us down, we'll always get up and fight again. I'm proud of them, I'm proud of who they're and what they're teaching me. I'm proud of being an Universe.

Pentagon had always had relatable lyrics, same with Straykids but Pentagon has a deeper feeling. Pentagon never spoke to me much, but I've gotten to know more about their journey through your reactions, and even though I don't enjoy their music much, because of you, I definitely appreciate them.
And ...nothing wrong with tears, even when it doesn't seem like they're warranted on the surface. I still can't listen to IU's "Lullabye" without sobbing, and Hwasa's "Be Calm" gets to me too. We all have our experiences that make this music important to us, and affects us that much.

As a universe since pre-debut I understand exactly how you feel, the anger/frustration that comes with knowing that they haven't ever gotten what they deserved when they have released nothing but the best and worked so hard these past years. Hey, I'm an extremely new Universe and I've only been a part of the fandom for a month or so, so I don't know all the inter workings, but what I will say is that when learning about Pentagon and listening to their music, it just hits different than any other group I have learned and listened too. Music in general can get through some dark days, especially Pentagon's and sometime I think Music is my only friend. So, to learn that they haven't won anything doesn't make me angry or fuel my fire, it just makes me sad to know that their hard work and dedication to their craft that they love has gone vaguely unnoticed. So, after this long rant, I will say I am going to continue to support Pentagon in what ever they do and I hope that people will see how special they are.

For years i have been really depressed, dark thoughts always came into my mind but this song was like a wake up alarm, to open my eyes and see everything i was missing.
I cry everytime i hear "i wanna hear your voice", because for years i have been silent, silent about how i felt, no one knew what was going on, forcing smiles and pretend that i was ok, but in fact that was destroying me, pretending that anything was happening when a lot of things were happening. This song meants to me so much. They basically told "speak louder, to shout out, scream and shout and let it out" like if my voice and true colors really meant something. I actually cannot explain how i feel in reality with pentagon's music. Every single song they have means so much to me.
This is the beginning of something awesome, pentagon is now on a very different level.
And i have grown together with them, and i will become a better person.

Your passion and love for Pentagon is so relatable, I started crying with you. I have felt the same way. I’ve felt the same anger for their injustice, felt the same inspiration from their music, felt the same comfort from them when I’m in my low places. I have my other ult groups that bring me happiness, but when I’m in a really low place I put my Pentagon playlist on and I feel instant happiness and inspiration. I have happy memories with close friends and from seeing them live, and hearing their songs helps me through it. I truly feel like these boys deserve true recognition for all the work and passion they put into their music and performance, and it hurts to see them not win or get that recognition.

When Dr. Bebe didn't get a win, I cried. When Pentagon didn't win RTK, I cried. When Shinwon cried after RTK, I cried. Pentagon deserves SO MUCH MORE. I hope people starts supporting groups based on their talents, not their CZcams views.
I dont know why... But Hui's part -all their parts- made me cry. It just gave me a felling of hope as well as despair. It was somehow really powerful how he spat the lyrics out like poison yet worded them so carefully as if threading a needle. It was so enchanting and powerful just to hear the emotion not even knowing what the lyrics are in the first place (i watched it the first time without subtitles) I love how when Hui starts off he plucks the works off his tongue but it progressively gets more strained and forceful. With that "God bless you" cued my sobbing because it gelt like they reached out and touched your heart personally. They told you that it all depends on you- not anyone else, YOU. YOU are the future. YOU are your own destiny and YOU make YOUR CROWN. Other than that this song gave me a sense of security and passion. It made me tingle with happiness as well as angst and light. It made me want to reach out to each and every member and sincerely thank them for putting me in a sense of peace as well as security and love. All while making me feel like i wasn't just another fish in the sea. Another person in this world of 7.5 billion people and a true, proud UNIVERSE. It painted a pallette of emotions filling me with hope and happiness while also making me sad and angry, anxious and incriedibly strong. It made me feel as if i could break a wall but it also wrapped me in a warm blanket. For me too, it was a wake up call. It was a cry of victory and a lost battle at the same time. It was just like being wrapped in honey as well as jumping in ice. I really hope you read this and connect to it personally. I came to this video because of a Facebook group called ''Pentagon International Fan Group'', someone recommended your video and I was not disappointed. I truly understand your frustration - how can this wonderful group not have a win yet?? I'm a Uni since late 2018, and am so in love with them and keep hoping for their first win, it's almost unhealthly. I don't understand why they aren't more popular, they have everything! And I miss Jinho a lot, he is my bias and I'm sure his vocals would have been amazing in this song. But, we gotta keep fighting and showing them some love! They never gave up for us. Honestly I'm not a fan of pentagon, but when I hear this song for the first time,there's something happened in my heart that I cannot express or explain. It stabbed deep in my heart. you can feel with all of their music that it is coming from their hearts to the world. their music is what has given me the confidence to be bold and go for opportunities even when I'm feeling small, and they are such great role models of perserverance. Basquiat is the reflection of them, their journey as a group, and as people.
I've never had a song give me goosebumps and make me tear up every single time I've listened to it. I've been watching Pentagon since RTK (so sad I discovered them so late) and every SINGLE time this song makes my body react, which blows my mind. They’ve had so many songs that should have won awards that at this point I’m not taking music shows seriously anymore (maybe that’s an exaggeration, but they really should have had multiple wins at this point). They’re constantly improving and working themselves to the bone. I want them to take a break but at the same time their ability to never give up gives me so much motivation in life. I know that when they finally make it big as a group they’ll have a fandom full of people who really love them and (like Hui said in RTK) they’ll be known as a perfect groups that’s good in all aspects.
When Pentagon gets their first win, the universe will cry (literally).
What I love about PENTAGON is the passion every single member holds. I've been an UNIVERSE since their debut with Gorilla and they went through HELL to be where they are. What angers me is that every since 2016 THEY ARE STILL UNDERRATED. Not even Shine got a win, the only remarkable goal they achieved with that song was that it debuted in Billboard's list, Hui said that there were a lot of tears and joy all over the place. Everyone would kill to see that again.
I remember in the RTK episode where they got first with their collab performance with ONF, it was heartbreaking and painful to see Kino crying because that was technically the very first time they got first in ANYTHING.
The passion they hold is something I don't see in any other male group I know, they never gave up, they never give up and they will never give up. The fact that their hardwork is still unappreciated pisses me off, and I know all of us UNIVERSES feel that way.
So for the people who don't stan PTG, SHAME ON YOU. Because you're missing out on a MASTERPIECE of a group, and like Sunwoo said on the finale of RTK, the scores or wins wont define your value and what you are capable of.
You are not born with talent, you CREATE the talent. And honestly, PENTAGON had that crown ever since day one, because that's where it belongs, and no one is going to take it away from them.

Hello, i am a baby universe. Only recently got into them thanks to RTK and I had seriously thought they had various wins because, the quality of their music is like, crazy good.
And it stresses me out that some people just don't see the masterpieces these guys come out with. I just wanna go scream off how much love and support these guys deserve.
