From what I've heard from my tech friends, this is actually pretty accurate. Girls will get favored because women in tech want more women in tech, and they don’t want to discourage young girls. While it may be weird in the past, a woman teaching code isn’t something rare now, from experience I can say that most of the teachers that knew their shit in my uni were women, because they knew what they could and what they couldn’t teach, and choose their subjects accordingly, while most of the men oversold their skills and ended up teaching with shitty CZcams tutorials (I blew the mind of one of them by using an enum for a state machine in C, he was using macros to define each state as a number lol)

I was so confused and several of us complained(rightfully so) and were told that us complaining was the reason why they went first that time. I don't notice a lot of this prioritization now since I am in highschool but back in elementary anyone can tell they are having some double standards.
