- He may not have made it to black jackets, but the sweet-natured Season 7 contestant Salvatore Coppola won fans over (and possibly Chef Ramsay) with his Italian charm and lovable personality. He's one of the most endearing HK contestants of all time.
Legal Crap: I don't own anything in this video, I'm just a huge fan.
Gordon: "Did you go to school?"
Salvatore: "No. I came to America to help my parents and I worked everyday to support them."
Gordon: "Well shit I can't be mad at you :)"
This comment is hilarious. I can respect someone who sacrifices their education to help their parents.
+Ulquiorra Cifer Probably wasn't a choice. "My parents needed me"
@@nardinit more like an ultimatum.
@@J-leaf You seem to be confused on the definition of ultimatum
@@nardinit He had a choice, either go to America and help his family at the cost of working himself to the bone or spend his in Italy happy (I hope) not leaving his comfort zone but at the cost of seeing his family suffer, and remind you, he is still in his teens at the time, but maybe your right it may not be an Ultimatum but it's pretty damn close if you ask me.
"Suit is a suit. It doesn't matter. We cook." - Salvatore.
Hahah such a perfect clip to end the video on
brilliant quote
That quote Sounds like something from a movie 😂
Definitely wasn't scripted haha! good quote though.
what a qoute and its true ...
Its so rare to find someone whom all the contestants actually like.
Everyone loved Salvatore, including Chefs from other Seasons.
But they obviously watched HK7. Some have even been to his pizza restaurant.
STERLING !!!
Tommy was also pretty dope.
I loved Sterling and Salvatore
“Just take your time”
Sweetest thing I’ve ever heard Chef Ramsey say EVER
Ramsay: "SALVATORE, SALVATOREEEEEE!!"
Salvatore: *slightly scared* "Yes chef?"
Ramsay: Salmon's cooked perfectly!!!
Salvatore: *relieved* "Thank you chef!"
"a suit is a suit chef, doesn't matter"
what a humble guy
He had me, when he said about the little piggy: "I didn't want to hurt him, he's still a baby". "I sorry porky porky".
CateSimulate Salvatore loves animals!
That little piggy ended up on my dinner plate
CateSimulate lmao awwwww
he doesnt look 35, he must have a fountain of youth
He's 41 now and still looks the same!
wow..
Italians never grow old :D
It's true, my stepfather Alfonso was in his sixties and he looked like he was in his thirties, easily. Random fact; he was a tenor in Italy who performed under the name Alfonso Di Donna, his signature song was 'Con Te Patiro' (Time to Say Goodbye), I'll always remember that voice and that smile, his energy lit up any room.
@@SuperRasputia * Partirò, Patirò means literally " I will suffer "
You can tell Gordon really likes him :)
Aww, Salvatore is such a sweetheart. And that part at the end, about him not going to school so that he could help out his family made me cry.
Omg, Same
Salvatore is now a father! His wife gave birth to a beautiful baby girl last week!
Katie G i iwse he won the compitition
Aidan Faulkner Mikey from HK7?
+Katie G Maybe a future chef in a future season of Hell's Kitchen.
Huh? Superfan indeed
Katie G did he went to school afterwards or got a job
I'm surprised how Ramsay treats Sal. With more respect compared to the others even though he was hard on him.
I think it's because how humble Salvatore is. And also for what he been through for his family, deserves respect.
Gordon Ramsey's weak spot. Poor kids who didn't go to school but worked to feed their families instead.
Unless... THE CHILDREN. THEY'RE FUCKING RAW.
+WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW nice twist lolo
If they ever do an all star season I'd love to see him back.
They did, but because he didn't make it to black jackets, he never got brought back.
I would love to see a season where those who didn't make black jackets get a second chance just to see Salvatore again
@@tylerpancake780 And then, we see Lacey and Raj
I would defo wanted Nilka to have come back to get yelled at again, Lauross from season 4, Vinny from season 8, Natalie or Elizabeth from season 9, Brian from season 10, Gabriel from season 12, Sterling from season 13, Alison from season 14, Frank from season 15, and Andrew from season 16
If non black jackets were allowed to be in an All Stars season they should bring back both Salvatore and Sterling
Gordon treats him like his son lol
I think he really really wanted him out of everyone to succeed
@@sala509 of course I mean Coming to America he didn't go to school it just worked and worked and worked and worked to get money to help pay for bills him winning would prove that no matter who you are no matter what you've been through you could still accomplish great things and even if he didn't win that night when he was on the fish station kicking ass he was giving it his all on that station
@@sala509 why did he force his elimination tho? dude wasnt even voted up and gordon was like "none of you, salvatore, get out"
@@sala509 I think it’s because Gordon sees a little bit of himself in him like they both came from nothing and are trying to use cooking to get out of poverty and make something of themselves
I love how every time Salvatore speaks, and especially his introduction, the editor decided to blast Italian sounding music.
Grazie Tutti. Caio!
Chef is really nice to him, constant positive reinforcement.
+Kahgro Ive read that there are different types of students.
Students who quickly grow complacent from success so you have to be constantly riding them.
Students who need to be challenged to keep their attention.
Students who respond extremely well to praise and are extremely hard on themselves (So they just spiral further and further into a nosedive.) Essentially these students go on "Tilt" but work harder and harder when they get praised.
Thats what ive read randomly strolling around the internet anyway. Looks like Gordon picked up really easily what type of student Salvatore is and honed it really nicely. Gordon aint got 25+ years in the biznaz for nothing.
"You went to school, right?"
"No chef, I had to work every day to help feed my family"
"....FUCK! Now I have feels!" X(
So much respect for salvatore
How could anyone not love this guy? Sure he's not very bright but you just can't hate him
Actually he's very wise. I've had the privilege to speak with him many times.
Katie G oh. In the show he came off as having more heart than smarts
In real life he's very smart and very very sweet.
Just because you're not educated, it doesn't mean you're smart
@@KatieG88 yeah people often confuse language barriers with stupidity
very easy to tell salvatore is an extremely smart guy with a very big heart who got a hard life and tough opportunities
When Salvatore saw this vid on FB, he typed...
"Thank You :))) so much for this one of the kind video. I love it:)))) Grazie amica:)))"
forget big fan, your like a super fan, but yeah real good on ya.
Gordon was gonna roast him about that whole "going to school" thing, but held back his insults
I'm pretty sure he didn't even consider to insult Salvatore about something like that... Gordon is critically critical, not a dipshit. There's nothing to criticize someone about having had tough childhood.
@@JustSomeGuyLV especially since Gordon had quite a rough childhood
Once he explained it Gordon was like “shit, that’s actually a good reason…”
Salvatore....he tears me whenever, the part of his schooling omes... love the way Gordon leans over, shows his compassionate side. The answer to his suit is pretty powerful.
One of my favorite contestants on HK.
My dad is actually friends with hime he is getting married this summer
"my teamates put extra love in the salmon"
yeah... keep it.
could have phrased that better bud.
Such a nice guy
+MK2EA He's the nicest guy anyone could ever hope to meet and such a good friend. When he went to Disney World last month, he sent me an Olaf T-shirt because he knows how much I love Olaf from Frozen.
Katie G No f'ing way!? He's just the right amount of everything, friendly but too nice, confident but not arrogant.
+MK2EA Yes. We've been friends for over 4 years now. He's always so humble and very caring.
+Katie G I mean if your trying to make me jealous its working haha, but how did you get to know him?
+MK2EA Facebook via Hell's Kitchen Underground. He was very impressed by the page and asked for my phone number. We've been very close friends since and I hope to meet him in person on my next HK trip.
Salvatore is doing very well. He called me last week for my birthday. He's working a lot but is very happy.
He's the sweetest most selfless person I've ever met.
Love how Gordon stood down from tearing into Salvatore’s poor writing after learning he didn’t get to go to school.
"Suit is a suit, Sir. It doesn't matter. We are cooking", that's a smart man right there. Love the quote.
Update 2020: just checked his Facebook, he's a dad with 2 Daughters and a wife :) they seem to be happy together im glad
Whats his facebook name
@@thewizard5060 Salvatore Coppola
It would of been beyond pure gold to see salvatore team up with Sterling 100% haha
That would be big fun! Throw in Van as a third. To keep everyone laughing matter what, get Rochelle!
Salvatore is the sweetest thing.
Just the only thing is the language barrier
I really love this boy... He is so frutrated in the beginning but later show his talent
He can be a really good chef if he can experienced more in the kitchen
I LOVE SALVATOR! ❤ He seriously has a soft spot in my heart. I loved that Gordon was tough but fair with him. When he said he came to America to help his family, I CRIED! Bless this man.
Luca from Masterchef reminds me of Salvatore, not because they're both Italian but their humble personalities too.
Luv him & Dave from season 6 , they are the beeest
"Salvatore had a big heart. Too bad he couldn't cook with it."
Ramsay parting comment
Aww Salvatore is so freaking adorable! So classy in that last scene with Ramsay about his suit. And he's hilarious. The accent is "for woman." LOL. My favorite scene was the lunch with Chef Ramsay at :50. "Yeah I got fuckin' cheated on, Chef!" Who would ever cheat on that Italian god?
That Final Answer for the Suit tho 🔥🔥
Im an italian boy and yep we can cook when we want.Respect for american food too,but the italian food its the best, for my life experience.(bad english sorry)
best food i have ever eaten to this moment was in Italy. The pizza, sea food, pasta and even ice creame set the bar so high for me that i cant enjoy them anymore back in my home country in Romania
Madalin Maniu come on, romanian food is great too! :) ( kurtoskalacs over all!) we italians have the cult of the food, for us is sacred
kurtoskalacs is hungarian :/ ...
Yeah we got some good food, but they dont taste as good, or maybe im just bored of it. I also like the french food, turkish food, and even chinese is awsome, but if i had to chose a type of food, to eat everyday, no doubt about it, it's italian. My 2 week vacation to italy was more awsome cuz of the food. for example in my vacation to Spain, i didnt enjoy there food, exept for the Jamón, not cuz it was good, cuz it was, but cuz it was very interesting.
Madalin Maniu ooops sorry ahah a mad friend of mine after insisted to eat that food told me it was a typical romanian food!anyway, food is one of few things we can be proud of
ma nn ti preoccupare paisano... il linguaggio di inglese e' stranissimo!
Oh Salvatore...you are a maestro of words...
lovely and modest, good bless him
Not yet in person, but have spoken to him many times on the phone. He's always very optimistic and caring. And his accent is very cute of course.
i just watch season 7 .. and Salvatore was my favorite to win .. he´s good man with big heart . God bless him!!!!!!
Aw, I didn't know that he never went to school because he came to America to support his loved ones and family. Such a sweet guy. I hope he's doing well. I loved his voice, but his personality and open-ness to people is what I find beautiful in him.
Gordon's favourite chef, he was an awesome guy
Bloody hell, this guy is a boss. That last answer to Ramsay's question about his suit - mother of god, so much class.
I think that among other things, the fact that he tries so hard despite not being able to read - among other things - had people drawn to him. You can see how Gordon Ramsey's kinder side shows with Salvatore more than with most people.
He seems like such a lovely fellow. Good sense of humour, too.
Salvatore! What a character!!!! The coolest person ever in hells kitchen!
He was one of my favorites haha
it's so crazy that gordon can literally go from service to having an honest conversation with him right back to service lmao. not a bad thing at all i just thought that was interesting haha.
salvatore is my hero.he's such a boss.you know you're a good man when even chef ramsay hates arguing with u
He is so adorable
He's so cute! And his accent is priceless!
What season was this?
Season 7.
Katie G Thanks!
He soo cute !!
All kinds of things, mostly about the things we're passionate about. He asks me a lot of different questions and is also very good listener.
I know. He looks so young. He's 40 now and still looks the same.
When Ramsey asked him if he had been to school and Salvatore said no, I’m really glad that Chef Ramsey didn’t go and rip his head off this one. It looked like Chef Ramsey was about to go at it with him, but I’m glad that he took a step back.
The 'Berry Pudding' at 2:32 gets me every time. Where did he even get that? Lol
Awwww, he didn't go to school. You could see Ramsays face drop from anger to understanding. How sweet.
Oh my god, Salvatore is the best, One of my favorites. Was really really upset when he got eliminated. Would want him to come back.
he may not have won but at least he was the most honest out of everyone
This dude was entertaining.
These episodes are just airing in my country and I gotta say I love Salvatore! Italian men just got that something, they are true ladies men (;
HE'S SOOOOOOOO CUTE AF!
Yup, he is from where I used to grow up in Italy when I was a kid! Monte di Procida baby! Now, living in North Carolina :(
Monte di Procida is relatively a small "city" and everyone knows everyone. It is like one big fucking family.
My dad used to live there in Monte di procida. I visit there every other year. I am going next summer
Lucky you! The ticket is not cheap during that season...especially in August, which is the time of the year that I like to go visit my family, Man, I haven't been in Italy for 3 years....so sad :(
I very much like berry pudding.
Salvatore is one of the most funniest contestants along with Brian, sterling and van
He's so nice. Italians with thick accents usually have inflated egos due to all the female attention they get but this guy was, for the most part, quite humble.
as a fellow italian, i see this video only now (10 years late, i know) - he's a top notch guy. worked hard, good spirit. how can you not love him?
grande salvatore, massimo rispetto e supporto!
He's been in America over 20 years and still can't write in English? lol [I wrote that before I saw the end - good lad supporting his family] He's a good, honest, charming guy, and he can cook!....the ladies will love him! lol
Sal and Gordon with the fish dishes..... suit is a suit... what a moment !
my favourites of season 7: Salvatore, Holly, Jay, Ed and Jason
"Good answer" never thought I'd here that from Gordon
@JBR Salvatore is one of the dearest sweetest persons anyone could ever know. I've spoken to him on the phone several times. He has nothing but kind and encouraging things to say. That's why I made him this video.
the new jhon phillepe
I would say the new Marino because Salvatore and Marino are Italian
Well jean phillipe was Belgian. He sounds french to me.
Salvatore is so cute I love his accent sexy
His accent is italian ♡
5:59 was my favorite moment :)
can't blame his logic on the accent
because it fuckin' worked
He's such a laid back person
He's still working in his pizza place and is doing very well!
“Hey Luigi” (Mario’s Voice)
"I sorry my teammate put extra love to... salmon"
He was such a cutie pie
Salvatore can cook. He just lacks confidence because he sees himself as a lowly pizza cook amongst the sous chef and executive chefs. Too bad he refused to come back for the All-Stars season coz he got married and have a baby
Yes he does. That's how I met him. He's very sweet and caring. He's been extra busy lately though. He's opening up another restaurant,
This video just melted my heart!!!!!
ignoranza italiana
Salvatore had a big heart. Too bad he couldn't cook with it.
This might be old. Good video
Haha funny guy, the last clip was awesome, "suit is a suit chef, doesn't matter, good cooking" :D
At least he had one really good service, and he did alright in the 2nd service
the way salvatore talk... it't like the amigos of happy feet...^^
My name is Salvatore too and i dont know why American call us "Salvaciori" ... Is S A L V A T O R E
Woop k woopy
because pronouncing T is hard for them. I have noticed it from other words as well, they leave T from words where its not silent.
Kossolax the Foresworn really? I can’t speak for the rest of America, but i’ve noticed in the north people have this issue of not pronouncing T’s. In the south it is very different, we don’t have that issue.
Salvatore è impressionante!
I'm Italian and I didn't know him, he made me proud.
yummy,he is super handsome.
suit is just a suit doesnt matter we cooking
dude sal's the man, i wish he made it to the final six at best, but i also wish in the future he can come back to hell's kitchen, if not as a contestant, then as a recurring charecter like aron
I love Salvatore so much, soo adorable!
