I read stories . . . MW was horrible to Jensen. Very, very jealous of the younger, gorgeous guy. That's what being 12 years older than your girlfriend does to you when you're insecure. But I am really glad that Weatherly is slaying those demons. Maybe Jensen can do a few eps on the new Tony/Ziva show.

Ankles drips with charm and charisma, while also being friendly and kind. It’s not tv twinkle, it’s his who he is. This interview reminded me that I’d like to see more of Mr. Ackles, in another show or film. I’d watch him do anything 🤣 he’s my favorite eye candy.

MW is certainly letting go of all his demons with Jensen to do with Dark Angel, which explains why he's talking so much. But Jensen, gracious as ever holds no grudges and simply goes with it.

@@purplebutterfly5366 Agree! Tbh I was surprised the CW offered Jared a leading role & his own show right after Supernatural, but didn’t do the same for Jensen! Or why wasn’t Jensen offered a role in Walker since Jared is the executive producer? I guess that’s just the business side of it all, & I’m sure Jensen understands it. But it still must sting a little for him to have not been offered the same opportunity and I hope a lead role and big things are coming soon.

This was super intersting - to see Weatherly want to backtrack and sort of explain that the reason Jensen was given a hard time in Dark Angel was basically actors jealousy! This interview has to be coupled with the one Jensen gave to Michael Rosenbaum about Jessica Alba being a real b*i*t*c*h to him, but between the lines you can see there was just basically attraction between Alba and Jensen, while she was going steady with Weatherly at the time.
Now we find out Alba described Jensen as "he's a rockstar" (just imagine how her boyfriend Weatherly took that at the time!), while she after that bullied Jensen on set and said to him he was just "eye-candy" the studio brought in.
I think part of their history has to do with the fact that Jensen is such a natural - he acts brilliantly, delivers emotion and comedy effortlessly. I can really see how Weatherly being impressed with Jensen impacted his role on NCIS, because there Weatherly was so much more laid back, funny and smooth, and it made him really likeable (which was a huge part of NCIS's sucess, I think).
Even in this interview you can see how Jensen knows how to go with the flow, adapt, and only use the space available to him without issues. He might be the only emotionally balanced actor in Hollywood 🤣

I remember reading an interview with some of the makeup and costume crew on Big Sky and they described Jensen as someone with extremely high emotional intelligence

Weatherly needed to get some stuff out though - there was a big jealousy drama on the Dark Angel set (at least that is how I interpret the interviews), and Jensen got the rough end of that. I think Weatherly is basically trying to say "I'm sorry" but in the most roundabout way possible 🤣
Exactly, Michael isn’t in therapy, and as someone who was/is with a therapist, they would more than likely tell Michael to cut off the motor mouth and just tell Jensen straight out that he’s sorry for x,y,xz. And how Jensen takes it would be up to him. But at least it would be out there instead of watching Weatherly spin around in circles until he got dizzy and fell over. And if weatherly wanted to talk about only his issues, he doesn’t need a podcast he needs to talk to a mirror.

Ahhhh, Michael. I’m so torn here. I automatically tune in to all things Jensen. Then to notice you actually have a CZcams channel. Instant subscribe. So I’m all excited for this podcast. And I loved it. But. While I can listen to your stories with pleasure, I was totally expecting more Jensen. I’m thinking the only way you can make this right is to do another one. Make Jensen tell more stories. Or you can do the 24 hour thing. I’d definitely be here for it. DiNozo is my favorite NCIS character followed closely by Ducky. I LOVED dark Angel!!!! I watched it when it was on TV. And was completely upset when it was canceled. I apparently have watched these two men my whole life lol my mom always used to watch Days of our lives so I watched Jensen on that, dark Angel, Supernatural, he was just on an episode of Tracker. Michael watched on dark Angel, NCIS, Bull and can't wait for Tony and Ziva!

I have season 1 and season 2 dvds of Dark Angel. Had gotten them back in '06 once Superantural Season 1 had aired 😊 and the season2 finale was one of my fav. episodes. This was great to watch and seeing you guys reminisce ❤

I love this. I can totally relate to MW, growing and acknowledging and repairing. As much as JA is open with fans (so grateful), MW is willing to share lots of fun details that provide fans with a different sense of the actor experience. He was absolutely incredible as Lydecker. He was so intimidating! I'd love to hear how he felt about Fox's decision to fire the over 40's and replace them with younger actors.
I got a chance to talk to Nana Visitor about that but if she could elaborate on how she felt too as she did an amazing job as Renfro! Truly scary character.
By the way, Dark Angel dvds are not always that expensive on eBay!
But it is impossible to find as it's not on any streaming :(
It should be on Disney+. Not sure what that is about...
Also, as for the Manga you're referring to, the show is loosely based on Alita, which I believe James Cameron has fully admitted to back in the 2000's. But there seems to be influence taken from the cartoon Cyber Six. Especially the scene where Max & Logan are sharing a dream while he's in the hospital. Cyber Six has a scene that is nearly identical to that.

So crazy this is recorded and comes out just as I am finishing watching Dark Angel for the first time after finally watching it, love love loved it btw amazing job everyone involved!
TLDR - Obsessed with Avatar and recently found Supernatural which was made for me and watch both multiple times over so I go digging and find Jensen was in a tv series by James Cameron so of course I watch it and love it, really annoyed Fox cancelled it just as the story was picking up so now after I don’t know how many years I am gonna have to read a physical book to see what could of been the rest of the story for Dark Angel and it’s amazing characters!
Now here is the story behind this crazy coincidence:
I grew up loving Avatar was my favourite movie for a long while! To give you an idea how much I loved that movie I watched it over 15 times the directors cut of course rather on my original release DVD or the extended collectors edition blu-ray and even watched it in 3D in the cinema when it came out, I even played the video game.
Then forward to this year I finally got to watching Supernatural after being told to by so many people (so stupid not to listen till this year however it was really what I needed mentally at this point in my life so it was destiny in a way) for a long time. Now I get to see the amazing man that is Jensen Ackles so after rewatching Supernatural like 5+ times in a row none stop I reached the point where I needed to find something new to binge and my solution was Jensen’s filmography so I just had to watch Dark Angel as its 2 of my favourite things combined and I absolutely loved it such an amazing show so sad that Fox cancelled it for whatever reason they want to pin it on. So now I plan to get the books by Max Collins to see what may of happened with the story if that world was able to continue like it should have, wish me luck haven’t read a physical book in over 10 years and I am gonna need it with my level of ADHD I just know it will be worth it though for the characters journey!!
