I spent a few days filtering my footage to improve quality and remove those freaking green lasers produced by the abundance of idiots in the crowd (600 000). I did the best I could and managed to greatly reduce the disturbance with clever luma keying and manual cleaning. Have a look at other uploads ( • Arc de Triomphe 31-12-... ) if you want to compare before/after.

+Optimist Couldn't find any info about it but I wouldn't count on it with the major terror bullshit we're having right now. I won't be in France this year.
+Nostro Yep, these recent events were awful. Several friends of mine were not far from there when it's happened. That was absolutely terrible. I'm glad that they were not hurt. Probably you are right and at least for a while we'll have to forget about big events in Paris but I hope the situation will get better.
Btw, "I won't be in France this year." does that mean that you return to France in 19 days? :)))

The events were terrible but the government's reaction was (is) even worse.
Last year's show was the first new year event we were getting since 2000, the fireworks part was a surprise.
From one hand I can understand the gov's reaction. They simply want to keep people safe, which is good. But if we follow their logic regarding the events: 2000, 2015 ... then the next one may be only in 2030 )) not cool :(
+Optimist Nah, everything they do is useless and only idiots will feel safe, a fake feeling of safety which is actually dangerous.
I'm not sure about 2030 but we're definitely going ape-shit for 2100 cause... you know, new century... oh wait no, it would have to be 2101 then (centuries start at xxx1).
