  • Located in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, the Apenheul Park is specialized in apes and monkeys. It started 1971 with just a few species, now it displays more than 35 different primates.
0.00-1.07 min. Ring Tailed Lemur, live in the dry, Southern part of the African island of Madagascar. It can get pretty cold at night, so they use every opportunity they can to warm up in the sun. Ring-Tailed Lemurs live in groups with multiple males and females. The females are dominant over the males.
1.07-1.28 min Lion-Tailed Macaque, derives its name from the small tassel at the end of the tail, similar to a tail of a lion. They also share a facial feature with lions, 'manes' on the side of their head. A groep usually consists of 4 to 30 animals.
1.28-148 min Woolly monkeys, are active during the day. Gregarious, they live in small groups and are often found in the company of capuchins, howlers, and other monkeys. They are rather slow-moving and generally travel on all fours, although they often swing by their hands, feet, and tail or by their tail alone.
2.34 min East Javan langurs, there are two colour varieties of East Javan langurs: orange and black. However, their colour has nothing to do with their sex. East Javan langurs with orange fur are more common in zoos than in the wild, though. In the wild, the orange variety only lives in one location in East Java. East Javan langurs have long tails. The hair around their face grows straight up and curls forward a bit.

Very impressive, thank you so much for sharing! What's the name of the primate right after the lion-tailed macaque with the prehensile tail?
