I have one myself same setup with heater. I water proofed all the seems with silicone caulk after I set the house up. I also added my own longer thicker screws just for durability. My dog loves it’s idk exact temp inside the house while heater is on but it stays warm enough for my mutt. Tips- I bought I 2 in larger dog bed to put inside so I had to take the front of the house apart again to install the dog bed. May want to make sure whatever your putting inside the dog house is in fact inside of it before screwing the bolts down as it may be hard to fit it thru the door. This has to be one of the best insulated dog houses on the market. Many others say they are insulated but are not and are drafty.
I like mine too, it worked just fine this past week with -3 temps and gust up to 35 mph.

Hi! I am in SoCal, and it can get pretty hot in the summer, was wondering how the doghouse holds up in really hot temperatures? Does it stay cool? Are there tips you can suggest to keep it cooler in the summer months? Thanks!

There’s an option to buy a solar powered fan for the dog palace on their website, so I’m thinking that would help, but I haven’t got that option on mine so I can’t say how it would work for you.
A friend of mine installed a small air conditioner on his dog house..lol.
@@binaryview6115 Thx for your reply. Has your dog palace stayed cool inside when temperatures outside are high for an extended amount of time? I’m hesitant to buy their solar fan attachment bc so many negative reviews about it not working unless in direct sunlight.
@@vickiepicky I’m guessing unless it’s raining your dog will probably prefer to stay outside during the hot summer months.
My dog Tucker only uses it when it really cold or windy outside, otherwise he likes to be outside.
It’s insulated, but I’m thinking that’s mainly for keeping it warm, not cool.

The way it’s put together I don’t see how it could leak. I can’t say what will happen after long periods of sunlight, but I guess we’ll see.
The heater and doghouse is still working great and Tucker loves it.
I'm thinking about getting one for my wife. Is there a way to lock the door from the outside? Asking for a friend.

Maybe you may think I'm stupid, but I have look everywhere about this and the ones for cats, and in some places say it is insulated, in others say, they are made of foam something! But I want to know if it is made of plastic and insulated with foam?! Please tell me? And thank you in advance!
Yes it’s plastic panels about an inch or more thick with styrofoam pumped inside them, even the flipper door has insulation styrofoam in it.

Got one used recently and my dogs are using it without a heater think I should add a heat lamp or does it keep them warm enough with the insulation alone?
I would be careful with the heat lamp idea. My advice is to get the heater that’s made specifically for the Dog Palace.
If you live in Florida it might keep him warm enough in the winter.
