I’m of the mind that every doom game is canon but there are a few little things here and there that make connecting them tricky. @Woodyisasexybeast it was the first link I sent. Also, the icon of sin's corps is visitable in doom 2016, before eternal. You can even shoot at the exposed brain and it'll shoot out a skull block like in doom 2.
@reegitgud7881 there is evidence. The lost city of hebeth, on mars, is heavily implied to be where humanity originated. I have combed through every inch of Doom’s lore and I have yet to find any contradictions.

I almost can't believe we've gotten to a point where guys like him have a full timeline that includes all the games and still makes quite a bit of sense.

But I have faith that you can figure something out and I also think it would be good for the discussion if you come to a different conclusion or interpretation. It sounds like a lot of this stuff (especially from the earlier games) is either left to subtext or hidden away in instruction manuals or alternate forms of media that could be hard to find, so there's a good amount of it that gives plenty of room for different theories or interpretations.

Ok since apparently this isn’t common knowledge but when making deals with demons to bring a loved one back make sure they are coming back the way they were before they died!!! Maybe like 5 months before just to be safe!

I really dislike all of this lore. Just give us a good game without taking every tiny detail from the original and trying to turn it into a giant pandering space epic. Its almost worse than what Disney has fone to Star Wars.
