  • A sperm bank in London is allowing women to use an app to swipe through prospective donor matches to father their child, but some people aren’t fans of the technology and feel it trivializes parenthood. Plus, we talk about co-sleeping with your toddler.

Ade is so supportive of Jeanies decision of not having children (i dont know if that has changed with her new man Jeezy)..
The way she chipped in "if u want to have kids" was so nice

They talked about a topic like this before and I wanna address it:
They would get mad if their husbands were sperm donors, but it's completely for them to be egg donors. I don't get it. Adrienne had said that she would be a surrogate/egg donor, but she would get mad if Israel wanted to be a sperm donor. Double Standards?

      Defintely 100% agree!

I can see how that could be considered a double standard. However, I don't think they would do it if their husbands told them they didn't want them to be egg donors just like how the wives don't want their husbands to be sperm donors. Maybe it's a double standard? But it seems more like a light-hearted opinion than anything.

Choosing the child’s features is weird to me. And dangerous. This can lead to eugenics.

Eugenics is likely going to start happening either way. Heck, for all we know it might be happening now. I think as a society a lot of people have gotten comfortable with idolizing people purely based off looks - to me, eugenics unfortunately seems like a realistic next step.

We've always practiced eugenics to some degree(at least I hope so in most cases). I'm more concerned about the rights of the donors.

Eugenics in and if itself,(apart from the Nazi racial component that gave it a shamfully bad rep) is not bad.
Who (if you want to bring kids into this FUBAR world) doesn't want their kids to be as strong, intelligent, and well-equipt for their future ahead as possible?
Like it or not, we already select for good genes (on average) on a primal level. It is what it is.
At least this way, with positive eugenics we are not crushing anyone or any culture/race.
Instead, science would be giving future generations I leg up in the worlds biological arms race.
I mean, like it or not, there's going to be overpopulation, dystopia and hunger games-styled economies in the not too distant future. Seems to me to be going that way.
Little Skylar's gonna have to compete to survive WWIII and Water Wars over a long enough timeline, isn't he?
The Elite sure as hell are't giving out freebies, and you can be assured that their kids will be decked out with the latest in genetics and augmentations, so it's little Johnny Boy vs them.
If I had to have kids, I would want them to have the best chance of survival possible.
      I mean, wouldn't you?

I don’t know about the sperm bank and choosing ethnicities and physical qualities. Obviously you want them to be healthy, but choosing a sperm donor based on looks, I’m not sure about that. They should’ve talked about that more in detail.

cannot agree with this enough!! She was such a delight - not that Garcelle isn't - but the vibe this season is just so different. (Covid may play a part in that, but Tamera missing I think plays a bigger part.)
