I just saw this like 3 days ago and I instantly forgot about it. At first I thought it was the cod ww2 remake, but after searching for a bit I can tell you one thing. It's a joke.
Few days back, I thought it was just some dlc for ww2 judging by the looks of it. But then they put out a campaign gameplay and realised it was actually a whole game.
i got really hyped, because waw was my favourite cod and seeing how they butchered it with ww2, i was hoping this would be different. its just another way to get guns in warzone and to remove as much controversy as they can. its always america, the UK and russia vs japan and germany. its a world war for a reason :/

I remember sitting in my history class learning about all the black women storming the beaches of Normandy and shooting their poorly modified BARs from their hips. Who can forget the classic footage of those brave women raising the flag on Iwo Jima?
We need more realistic historic shooting games, just like Vanguard, so that the memory of those brave women won't ever be forgotten.

I played a few hours of it, and I can say this feels like it was made for VR first and ported to a regular game when there was no VR hardware ready on nextgen. And you all know how high quality VR games are…
I’m just curious to find out how they’re going to make the characters have silly cosmetics and glowing purple bullets in this one.
Just look at the skin in the end, they’ll find a way to ruin it, like always.
Just imagine buying the game for a solid $60 and then not able to earn cosmetics, instead having to pay about $20 for each cosmetic you want. On top of a $10 battle pass that takes a lot of time to complete. Feels more like a chore. Ridiculous. Just stating my opinion
Tracers existed I ww2, the Germans often used green ones, so there's that, and for silly cosmetics it'll be bfv and Vietnam esque facepaint and dumb ripped sleeve uniforms with like Mohawks and grizzly beards.

You do realize World at War is in HD already, right?
You know what could be a pretty interesting twist to the multiplayer games? If high command sends you "orders" throughout sessions (guiding players to take certain objectives or whatever), maybe have those reflect the competency of the military/commanding hierarchy of the time? Let's say one group was going against another and the first group's command is historically incompetent and so the "orders" reflect that. They might be told to defend a sector and it might literally be the worst idea at the time or it could be the best. It's still very much up to the players to decide, but it could add an interesting dynamic. Maybe one side has great command, while another has poor, but either way, it's up to the "enlisted" (I.e. the players) who save the day and make the ultimate winning decisions.
So like Battlefield's Command mode?
@@AnNguyen-es4kx I suppose, but have it reflect a real world analysis of the actual commanders capabilities (both material (maps, knowledge of area etc) and leadership capabilities (like are they more reserved, hard charging, methodical, fool hardy, etc). I don’t think this would be difficult to achieve as there is plenty analysis on the battles and their commanders.

I've been enjoying the absolutely brutal reviews of this game.
My favourite has been the Guardian's, which described the cast as "time travelling Woke warriors", saying that was the only explanation for how completely at odds such characters would have been with their settings.
On a more serious note, it also delved into how respectfully the series originally took the war in its early iterations, versus this generic nonsense with invisible walls and fail states everywhere if you don't go and play where the game wants you to.
Avoid.

@@faceripper77 mw2019 was decent, graphics and gun sounds were incredible but the campaign was pretty meh imo, they tried to make it controversial like the older titles but only failed in doing so, mainly because these older games had these "controversial" elements as a part of the story, where in mw2019, it felt forced, gameplay was alright but multiplayer was broken at launch, endless campers and unfinished system, spec ops at launch WAS JUST HORRIBLE, they seriously need to develop their games for more than just a few years before releasing, honestly I've gotten disappointed on cod for so many years I think this is the time I let go of that hype, ecpically when this trailer looks overly generic and bad, you do you but imo I don't see cod is getting better if they keep making the same move over and over
