My friend from Edmonton, was talking about the cold winter at the time I told her the burn time in NZ according to our weather report was 11 minutes, she said it was 9 months for her.
My cousin actually believed that the world is flat. And no amount is arguing or proof will change her mind. But she is a nice person and fun to hang out with.
Yeah I have friends who think it's questionable too and they're lovely people. We had fun with that one too.

I left N.Z for 38.5yrs ago, but now, I'm back and I'm freedom camping. Will be visiting Greymouth soon. You got to see my country before I could. I understand you lived it and lived it here. Thanks for visiting. I'm from Rotorua. I'm Maori but I don't understand applying for a work visa foreigners needed to know that. Lol you tricked us....

I'm a New Zealander who hasn't been home for 10 years, moved 22 years ago. So watching your channel made me realise what a great country I left. It has been one of the reasons my wife and I have decided to return home.
We've given ourselves 4 years to try and talk our children to return home with us. Being children of a NZ citizen they are automatically NZ citizens, so don't have to worry about visas. Don't think they'll come though.
Be moving back to my home town of Turanga-nui-a-kiwa.
Oh wow! You've been gone for quite a while. There will probably be things you miss but you'll get used to it again. If your kids don't go along with you, this might be hard too but if you can head out for a few months to visit them each year, then it won't be so bad. Welcome back to NZ! I am so sorry you had to go through that, I don't know how long that has been a test for a visa in NZ. Don't feel too bad about failing, I don't know if I could pass anything like that to be honest. I really can't understand why it has to be. I love that the country is helping to keep the Maori language alive. Wow! you got me!!! I swallowed that hook line and Sinker. !!!! @@johnpaki1534 No I have not traveled to India. or any of the Asian countries. I have only travelled to North America , US and Canada. But also a few of the Pacific Islands Hawaii ,Fiji ,and Rarotonga. It has been fun watching their reaction to our wonderful country NZ, as small as it is. I look forward to watching them going forward from this point. . . What about you John have you travelled from the NZ shores? I had forgotten April 1st is always a fools day there in NZ . . . lol.
@@janices6136hahaha I forgot April fools Day was a thing.oh yes many many years ago meet a beautiful young lady mother to one of my kids who happened to work for a frightfowarding com. up in Auckland airport, couldn't believe my luck, use to get 80percent off travel deals thru her job my cousin's would call me the flash Maori cause I travelled and they haven't🤣, so for about 3yrs i suffered that travel bug virus I didn't want to stop🤣 Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, England Rarotonga fiji, mexico and lived in Aussie for seven yrs, I always encourage people to travel and enjoy countries beyond our shores so much beauty out there, awesum Janice I bet you have 1 or 2 stories to tell my friend and yes looking forward to the pattons travelling again, India was on my list but I broke up with the girlfriend and that was that🤣🤣no more travel deals...lol hope all is well my friend 🥰

Well that has to be the best April Fool's I've had, since we love you guys and you've embraced New Zealand so well, and you've been such good ambassadors for the country. I hope you continue to enjoy whatever you do, you've got me hooked. Our family came to NZ from UK for 5 years way back in 1953 and I'm still here. It happens. Happy journeys to the whole family.

Congratulations! Family of our's immigrated to NZ from South Africa and without any funnies or conceited "must have/do" nonsense it was still a very hard process that took very long and cost a lot of money. They've been there and have gotten on brilliantly compared to many expats that have gone over but still look like they have not yet settled in completely. On the plus side: My cousin is now pregnant with her 3rd child after not being able to conceive a second child after almost 7 years of trying. Turned out the violence, stress and crime here was the cause. They have a far better quality of life in NZ. Good luck. I wish you the very very best on your new adventure.
We have Raclette here in NZ, but only if you buy one from a fancy home store. Also we have one from when we lived in Switzerland.
Not into fondue, unless its chocolate.
Can pick those up cheap from any second hand store.
Yes! We found some Raclette at a boutique type import store and had it for our Christmas dinner. The only thing is we didn't have a proper machine so we resorted to melting the cheese in the oven over the potatoes. It worked!
