Max, Apples measurement refers to the case size not the screen size and it seemed you didn’t realize that during your review when you were talking about the screen size difference

The series 4 is still performing flawlessly so apple is going to have to try harder to justify an upgrade
or you just don’t upgrade and accept that it’s not for you lol.. people have the right to choose what they want and just like with every phone, there’s always people who have had a phone for several years and are due for an upgrade… no one is forcing anyone to upgrade every year

Imo was a huge upgrade for me and similar to how most people bashed the iPhone 13 improvements. scrolling on 120hz has made using my phone way more enjoyable and even typing has an elevated experience.
With the watch, the screen is bigger, the on screen keyboard makes it much easier to text from my watch and the higher nits also makes the watch feel more easy to use.
To each their own though and everyone’s mileage will vary

@@tennisinme Yeah I just got a 13 pro Max from having a X, the difference is significant, realistically I could get up to 2 days battery etc. With the watch it's more of a difficult thing to justify updating when it's doing everything right for what I use it for.
I watched a ton of series 7 video to prepare for the fact that we come from a S2 and S3. I really appreciate how you break down all the features along the way to S7, which is so helpful since we’re getting so much with this upgrade. There’s a lot of great gems I didn’t know about such as the U1 chip and fall detection. I fell off my ladder a few weeks ago and this would have helped me.
I learned more about these watches from you in this video than all of the other videos I saw combined. I bought the series 7, came from the series 4. So far I love it.
Extremely helpful comparison. I have a Series 5, my first Apple Watch. The differences between 5 and 7 appear to be tweaking. The addition of the blood/ox feature doesn't justify the expense of a new watch.

Same here, hanging in with the series 4 which is still going strong. I’m not seeing enough of a reason to justify upgrading. Let’s hope the big one is coming next year
Same! Only thing is since I once fell with my Apple Watch. Now the battery only lasts me 8hrs. Which doesn’t really help if after work I want to go straight to run.
Looks like I'll be holding on to my series 4 for at least one more year

As a Series 4 owner, I'm not upgrading again until I see complete redesign. None of the features in the series 5, 6 or 7 are compelling enough for me to upgrade.
I have the AW6. It's my first AW. I'm not upgrading until I see complete redesign too.
7 is kinda big upgrade
We have S2 and S3 - ordered two S7 models both stainless. The fact the screen 50% larger means this upgrade was built for us!

I've just watched half of the video but I can already say that this is *exactly* the kind of video i was looking for. I was planning to go for the series 5 since its perhaps a bit outdated now and I wanted to save some bucks. But I also wanted to know what I would potentially miss. Instead of watching (at least) 2 seperate videos on series 5 vs series 6, then 6 vs 7 etc this is an all in one review, love it!
I love these reviews. I’m upgrading from iPhone 12 Pro to 13 pro max because of battery. However I’m moving from Apple Watch Series 3 to the new series 7! I’m waiting until they have them at the store so I can go try all the colors.
I hope you'll be making a video like this comparing recent SE, 7 and 8 models! I have an Apple Watch 3 and no idea about new features of the last few years but I think it'll be time for a new one within the next 12 months. A comprehensive overview for someone that hasn't been in a consistent update loop would thus be awesome :)
After watching a dozen review videos for the Apple Watch Series 7, I can without a doubt say this is the best and most complete review out there. It was fantastic to see the comparison from 4, 5 and 6! Especially loved the Always On Display Brightness test for indoor and outdoor, which really was my biggest question on whether I should upgrade from my Series 5. Thank you!

Upgraded form S5 to S7. All the little changes add up for me. Really liking the keyboard, fast charging and pretty much everything looks bigger, such as buttons to press, messages, notifications and also the new black color is pretty cool. Also trading the Watch made it a little easier on my wallet.

Finally upgrading wifeys and my Nike series 2s to 7s, even though she still states it’s not much of an upgrade…. GOSH I LOVE HER. We both really need the always on display and cellular network. she just doesn’t know it yet ☺️.

The upgrade is night and day from series 2. The early Apple Watches are really too slow.
Yeah I'm upgrading from Series 2 as well, which tbh is still very functional, if a bit slow and unresponsive at times. Can't wait for delivery!

Still have the series 4 Nike edition since day 1. Love the watch. Even though I have some scuffs and scratches to the screen, works great.
I upgraded from S4 to S5 because of always on display, and I still use S5. Always on display was biggest change for last few years IMO.
My series 4 is working perfectly with great battery health too. I’ll upgrade when they do a redesign this years 7 was a cop out

I have a series 3 still and even though I'm very tempted to get a series 7, I think I want to wait until series 8 is revealed.
I plan on upgrading to the Series 7 from the Series 5 because I am interested in the faster charging since I’m sometimes clumsy and don’t have enough time to charge my watch and that bigger screen looks nice

I have a series 4, and the format of this video was very helpful! I don’t feel that the difference between the series 4 and series 7 is that much of a difference, so I’m going to wait until series 8.

Love your videos. I have a series 5 watch and cannot decide whether to upgrade or not. The main reason is that my eyesight has gotten and the cellular model would be great when cycling longer distances.
I have a series 4 and will wait for the series 8 to come out (hopefully with the new highly anticipated edgy design)!

I might actually downsize and get the series 7 just because the the 44/45mm is too big with my wrist, but too small for the 40mm. 41mm might be the ideal size

very nice review. i found the bigger screen in the S7 a more significant difference than i expected which made what i assumed would be a disappointing upgrade from S6->S7 (after all the hype of flat watches etc.) a very good one for me. this "feels" like the biggest change since S3->S4 and i've had them all (i'm insane.)

Just started using my girlfriend’s series 4 as she now has the Whoop. Brilliant bit of kit and after only a couple of days, like the idea of upgrading to what seems like the series 6.
I just received the 4 and let me tell you, as a first time Apple Watch user I am amazed and sold. I will probably have this for a long time unless there is a significant change in the upcoming models…..

I have a series 5 but just a slight change to the screen for the 7 and little after charging and a little more smoother but I don’t think it’s worth the upgrade yet ima still rock with my 5

many had upgrade to series SE since it was the cheapest to get to..and the chipset almost to the series 5 but an upgraded even it also didn't get any ECG or the Blood Oxygen..its a great Apple Watch for who didn't want to th two apps and reliable foot daily basis usage.
That was actually pretty good, and one of the best videos I have seen from this channel.. exactly what I needed an overview of the Apple watch thrue-out the series and if it makes sense to pursue latest.

Based on the great comparison that you said, I would choose to upgrade from my current Series 5 to the Series 7 since the 7 can take my blood pressure, oxygen level, has a little bigger screen, and keyboard for texting instead of talking.
