  • In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to lower a 1/24 scale model car, there are many different ways to lower and stance a scale model car, this method is only one of them. Keep in mind that this is kit-specific, but the fundamental idea of lowering a model car is the same, and don't be afraid to experiment because scale modeling is all about trying out new things and having fun.

    Your videos have me back in doing this hobby after about 17 years. Now I can't stop thinking about how I can customize anything scaled down. 👍👍

    One method i used for cambering and lowering my models, to lower it i would shorten my springs by cutting off where the spring attaches to the steering arm or whatever and then shorten the spring, after that just glue it on and boom its slammed. and to camber stuff I heat up the bar behind the wheels and bend them upwards to angle the wheels but remember to shorten the springs first so that it has more room for it all to be angled enough and boom cambered.
    And if you dont wanna heat anything up then glue only the top of your brake pads on then wedge I super tiny object under it, then glue the pads bottom so that little piece doesnt fall out or move and boom double cambered cambered.

    I love these videos, but I want to know - how do you make sure wheels still spin and steer? How would I extend the tiebar if it does not meet cambered wheels? Thanks a lot.

    Why you dont put spacer on the rear wheels too please ? Thanks and good content :)

    • @JunsMiniGarage
      @JunsMiniGarage  Před 4 lety +2

      I didn't have any clearance issue on the rear with the GTR wheels because the position of the rear struts are different from the front, on the front the inside of the front wheels are rubbing against the struts so I had to add a spacer to it. Good question!

      I purchased mine mostly from Amazon a while ago, but now there seems to be less inventory, eBay would be a great place to go but you have to search for them as these model cars have been discontinued long ago.
