As someone who mains this combo (I choose Rosalina) it honestly baffles me why no one chooses this combo. Yes, Yoshi weight class has more mini turbo, but the mini turbo stat of this class is still really good, combined with more speed, weight, and now more invincibility thanks to the changes of the new wave.
This is also my main setup since it’s my favorite plus I don’t care about the meta that much
We not using Rosalina because we choosing our favourite combo😂🤷♂️

Rosalina was always in the meta since wave 4. She’s just more on the spectrum of the less meta characters. If there’s a list of the top 10 characters, she would be number 7. She’s a heavyweight so she has a larger kart frame than the middleweights so that’s a small disadvantage she has. She’s still one of the best. She’s just not quite on the level of the Mario, Luigi, Tanooki Mario, and Yoshi weight classes tho it’s not really significant cuz she is still more than capable of winning on a consistent level 💯👍🏽
I was having a lot of fun with King Boo/City Tripper/Rollers/Cloud Glider. Pretty comparable with the Teddy Buggy, but you get those cool flames on the black City Tripper B)
I feel like this combo is good but Mario/Luigi with this same combo is better imo. I really value the mini turbo tier it reaches while still being naturally faster in terms of speed stat compared to Yoshi.
Mario and Luigi also did not get an invincibility nerf

I have been maining Rosalina since the DLC came out, and I have never seen the need to change.
im constantly looking for the sleeper pick of each build since they started changing the meta.
Right now I think Tanooki Mario Streetle is being slept on quite a bit, people underestimate the acceleration stat.
But then again im no expert and im not very good, so people could be right to sleep on that stat.
0:52 in practice I hear that invincibility doesnt matter all that much. It can for some situations, but in general isnt going to really go one way or the other.
my thoughts on the invincibility stat is that islt should be opposite the acceleration stat. if you big and heavy and go fast but keep getting hit and can't accelerate then it makes them borderline unplayable. it makes sense for high speed low acc to have high invincibility

I think its hilarious that Japan has such a HUGE playerbase and the game is super popular, but so many Japanese players still use Waluigi Wiggler for some reason. And the reason makes no sense to me, because if they all picked waluigi wiggler because of meta at one point, surely they'd know about the nerfs right?

I mean the Rosa Teddy combo was considered to be one of if not the best combo right after wave 4 dropped, at least for a little bit. I remember for a short time everybody was picking it online until everyone realized how cracked Yoshi's class was 😅 I personally love Rosa and King Boo so I'm happy to see you highlight them!

yes
Yeah, Yoshi is still the best weight class now, with Tanooki being almost identical, followed by Mario or Luigi, then the Rosa weight class here. MT is still the best stat and Yoshi gets the most without giving up extra Speed. The extra acceleration also helps.
The Teddybuggy and Inkstriker still have the most Anti-Gravity speed, so they remain the best option on most tracks. The Streetle, Pipeframe, and their clones have pretty similar stats, trading Anti-Grav and Air Speed for Water Speed, Handling, and Traction. The Biddybuggy is also still a contender despite dropping an extra point of Speed.
The Rollers are still the best wheels by virtue of their MT, but all of the wheels have 6 Speed + MT now.
As long as you pick a combo with decent Handling and Accel, you'll be able to do well online. It is very difficult to lose out on much speed or MT at this point.
