Girl!! Don’t you let anyone ever make you feel bad or like your leaving someone out. You go above and beyond what you need to in order to share so much of your incredible work. You are always sharing freebies or ways to do things without purchasing your digitals. At the end of the day, this is your business and your income so of course you are going to advertise YOUR items!! Your kindness is one of the reasons we keep coming back for more. If the Negative Nancy’s want to whine about something please don’t give them another thought. They aren’t being forced to watch the content you take your time to put together and in my opinion, I think your doing an amazing job and you are someone I am always inspired by. Your digitals are incredibly good value considering the amount of work and detail that goes into them.
Also in addition to videos you make that use your kits you often will make a separate "no kit" version that is probably more complicated to make requiring more preparation time by you.

It's rather sad that people will complain about you promoting YOUR kits on YOUR channel. I've been watching you for years and am so impressed by your talents, your unselfishness with your time, and your ability to turn nothing into something wonderful. I think it is absolutely normal that you would make videos that advertise your kits - that is your business, after all. I am on a limited budget to at 81. I don't use very many digitals because of the cost of printing them. You are a kind and generous woman who shares your talents and gifts and freebies with us and you are so appreciated. I was a pastor for 25 years and I know that you just cannot please everyone. You live kindly and do the best you can and the rest of it has to just fall by the wayside. I have not done any passports because I really didn't understand the concept so watching this video has been really great thank you thank you thank you. Love and blessings from New Mexico

One thing I've learned working with people the last 50 years, is we can't please everyone and if someone is looking, they'll find fault no matter what one does. I'll bet the same people aren't upset at any other business promoting their products through commercials. Keep doing what you do - which is try to inspire a wide audience, as we all do on our channels. You deserve to promote your products because you work to create them; just as you deserve praise for providing "how to" videos about creating beautiful items on the cheap, or for free.
I figured the main reason for having a you tube channel was to promote your products-that is the way you make your living. Nobody has to purchase your digitals so you should not feel bad when people complain. I see a lot of digitals you make that I love but I cannot buy everything but I can pick and choose what I wish to buy as any one else can also do. I appreciate all your videos and love watching them. So keep them coming and know we appreciate all you do.

Tracie, you are so gracious for apologizing, but you shouldn’t have to for several reasons! You specifically told us several times in your video about posting a non-digital kit version coming our way. Second, as crafters, all of your videos are so self explanatory we can easily figure out how to make a version on our own without the kit. Third, your digital kits are always exquisite and we are so blessed to have access to them. You are more than generous with your freebies and we all know that making and selling your kits is how you make some of your money. Don't apologize, ever! I personally have learned so much from you, purchasing your very under-priced and inexpensive kits as well as using your many and very gorgeous freebies! You can literally find books at the dollar store with beautiful pictures for the pages, find a second-hand store for craft supplies, and make beautiful things for practically nothing. How sad that someone would complain about you selling and promoting your kits. They are not that much and not only that but if they can’t afford it then they can try another site. We all have to have a job and make money and this happened to be yours. It takes a lot of your time to make those kits and time is money. You’re so sweet to actually do one that is not kit. Money is very tight for us right now, but because I was so aggravated by her comments and all the extra work you had to go through, I purchased your digi-kit. Tracie, yesterday I was excited to purchase your entomology passport kit to play with because I am in the middle of packing my house up for a cross-country move and REALLY need a distraction, something fun to do in the late afternoon after a busy day. Today I'm making notes (and I saved this vid, of course) to refer back to when I create a journal of all the backyard critters I've been able to experience here in the desert in southern California. You are right. It is her channel and yes she can promote what she is selling. The one thing I would add though is junk journaling of old has been taken over completely now by crafters on line just making money. I remember when junk journaling was literally about junk and stuff one has around the house. There is no art involved with printing off an image and sticking it down on something. Also some crafters that show off their pets even have on their sites information about the pets favourite treats so you are funding their pets too ! A bit cheeky ! I personally cannot get all these things they sell but manage without them. Looking at the amount of kits they keep bringing out it does seem like a bit of a racket. I love all our crafters they are great but wish they would concentrate more on the crafting and a lot less on flogging their wares.

Actually hilarious that somebody criticized you for advertising your digitals on your channel. They obviously have not watched your channel, like ever, and did not watch/listen to your video yesterday where you said you would show how to make one without the digitals. Thrift/charity stores often have receipt books and other office supplies like file folders etc, old magazines and books. Dollar stores have ink, glues, transfers and stamps and stickers.
I don’t have old documents but i consider it a challenge to locate materials.
I save instructions from things and often they have other languages too.
Start with paper bags, dye with coffee or tea, dry then crumple them. Grab industrial paper towels if a local restroom has any. Create a fake name plate. Get a stencil to make butterflies using a colored pencil instead of paint.
There are always thrifty ways to recreate materials. Make it a challenge.
Tracie, call people out as a challenge and have them show you how they can make these from junk.
Your creations are indeed awesome and you offer ideas and instructions. It’s up to us how we use that!

Use the supplies you have. When I first started out, I had a ruler, scissors, magazines, newspapers, my granddaughters sketch pad, and a butter knife for scoring. Then I gradually built up my stash, and today, twenty years later, I have everything there is. But it took a long time to get here. Never feel you can't participate because you don't have the same supplies that someone else has. Use what you have. We all started at the bottom as far as supplies go. I hit up yard sales, garage sales, estate sales, etc, where you can find a lot of stuff cheap. You don't need brand new. Again, use what you have access to. 🙂♥️

I cant print kits or afford many craft supplies but you have always offered kit free tutorials, which are always amazing by the way. Thé think about people saying they don’t have the money or the printer is that they still would need to spend money for a lot of stamps and ink or do everything by hand for free, you spend a lot of time creating digitals you are in your right to promote your hard work and get paid for making crafters lives easier.
