- Welcome to the 62nd edition of my Home Concert series. In this set I present four new (long) Ambient tracks. Most sounds are from the Arturia Minifreak, Sequential Pro3, Waldorf Iridium, my modular system and the Luftrum Ambient 3 library. All music was arranged, mixed and recorded in Bitwig 5.2.
I took a different approach in light, filming and editing. Please let me know in the comments, if you like this look.

Good instruments, a friendly cat, and a cup of coffee, I'm not sure life gets much better than that.
That would depend my friend ? my cat used to stroll over the controls, resetting everything. knocking things over like coffee, and leaving muddy footprints everywhere ! then I used to sent my gear off for servicing, totally clogged with pet hair that caused the fan on my hard drive on different bits of kit to overheat sometimes ! yes a grooming brush and no pets or liquids in the studio these days alas x
Needs a joint 😘 💭
Love the beautiful ambient music to relax by - so peaceful & calming. Thanks to you & your sidekick Neptune f/a wonderful concert. Love fr/Talladega, Al. USA 🎶🌹🐆🐾🎶🙏❤
My Dog really enjoyed this one while relaxing outside on his blanket enjoying the warm sun ☀️ He's a big fan of ambient 🐕
Good boy!
I really appreciate all the ambient concerts you do. They are an important part of enjoying my work days.
Neptune adds the best psychic vibes!!! The luckiest cat in the Ambientverse!🥰🥰🥰
my 6 y.o. son really loves your music (as we all do in fact), your ambient tracks and soundscapes have become a recurrent, relaxing soundtrack here at home. thanks for your art
Thank you for playing my music to your little one! Best wishes from Wuppertal.
If that had been my cat she would have walked right over the computer keyboard and stopped playback!
Nice music and awesome setup
It was close! Thank you!
You are the wizard of electronic sound.
thank you!
Thanks for sharing these concerts for free!
❤Stunning work❤.Cat is special edition to set 💯🙏🎹
Since you introduced Pigments to me, I'm hooked with your stuff. Thank you, Martin.
Neptun is life. So is your arrangement. You're doing god's work, thank you!
Good vibrations here, cats never lie
Thanks for a great live session again!!! Very uplifting & inspirational for my Spiritual Art Paintings!!! Peace & Light!!!
WOW - awesome. Great job - thanks!!!
Nice. Very peaceful.
Amazing as always. Thank you so much!
Very nice set Martin!
THank You Martin!! sorry couldnt make it live yesterday, as always this is awesome!!
Thank you!
that is beautiful brother! thank you 🩵
I can think of 2 reasons why Claude Debussy would feel feel kinship to his fellow artists here.
I play Debussy a lot on the piano!
Lovely set!
Love the music, and admire the multi tasking (brushing cat, etc).

Wow!
Great! As always!

Amazing Pad in Part 4, also the sequence!!
This is a particularly good liveset. Thank you for your creation!
Ddin't catch this live this week but always look forward to some lush lessons, you make such beautiful soundscapes, best wishes to you and Neptune!
Great set as always. I especially like the weird sounds coming from the modular system in the first track, they add a very nice layer of "spice". 🙂
Just a pure delight and joy to watch and listen to. Thank you.
Thank so you much!
Nice 👍
Viele Deiner Tracks berühren etwas tief in mir. Danke dafür.
Dankeschön!
I always trust in his casual sound...
Super nice. I missed the liveset, but very happy to enjoy the recording. Part 4 is my favorite of these and about to play that again right away. Bravo!
Thank you! Track 4 is very special to me, too.
Outstanding as always Martin. Playing my favourite game (Elite Dangerous) while listening my favourite CZcams Synth Maestro.
Thank you!
namaste from bavaria❤
awesome o/
Ambient / Arp. Musik 🙂 für die Badewanne...
22:58 you and your cat both look to the left at the same moment 🐱
Well spotted! There was probably a noise outside.
33 min ❤
Viele danke furs Tielen ! Didnt know cats were CV trigger compatible ;)
Eine Stunde noch 🥳
Maybe a good future ambient album title could be Nep-tunes. What a sweet little boy he is.
Nap-tunes for Neptun?
Thank you, cat. You played wonderful music. In my opinion, your man sometimes interfered with you, but if you need him, then let him stay.
Thank you! There is absolutely no way to not let him join me. :)
I've never seen anyone brush a cat while playing synths!
I wish you had more stuff like this on your bandcamp
The four tracks of this set are going to be released on Bandcamp.
@@MartinStuertzer Beautiful! Thank you Martin and Neptune :)
👌❤️
Love the sounds, and seeing Bitwigs horizontal Cliplauncher!😊
26:27 that sound is so cool, like it's getting reversed
🥰
👍
In my studio: Whiskey, cocaine and out of tune techno sounds. You have a fantastic studio with a dreamy sound.
Can I come round?!
Hahaha, you are welkom.
My old studio used to run on cider, E's and good quality skunk! Them were the days! Then I met a woman. Now I don't even have a studio 😢
@@philtofield4572 You had to tell her that she has a beautiful voice.
Ha! Unfortunately she doesn't! I don't mean that in a nasty way, its just....
(I do love her really)
Anyway, you can send me a link to some of your tunes if you like. I'm sure some whisky/coke fuelled techno would be right up my street....
Great music - what unit is beside your modular rack? Looks like a Push 2?
This is the Push 3.
This is great, im early stages building a rig for improvised electronic music. Its good to see how people operate but im always left with the same question - how do people pay for all their gear man?!?!
I started with a much smaller setup, you don't need so much gear to make music.
Martin, love the ambient music you make, it just hits the spot for me and gets me into an ideal relaxed state. But do you have anywhere I could accesses your livrestreans in high quality rather than CZcams, maybe FLAC? I see you have some content on Bandcamp, and Tidal, could the streams perhaps be made available somewhere there?
I get this question a lot, but the discography on Bandcamp or Tidal would get very confusing if I released every set there. I am still thinking about other alternatives, maybe something like Patreon could work for that?
@@MartinStuertzer I'm not so familiar with Patreon, but possibly, especially if you allow downloads. Soundcloud might be an appropriate platform as well.
Great set! Martin, I've searched your youtube channel but can't find a video where you show/discuss your modular system. Would love a video on that if it's of any interest to you.
Never mind -- I found your studio tour video!
Correct, I never did a video on the modular system.
Hi Martin - thank you for another inspiring liveset of ambient excellence. If I may ask a question, how do you achieve such an excellent balance of sounds and instruments in a live mix? Do you have a pre-set arrangement of compressor and equalizer settings that just work for every session? thanks again.
Thank you! I start every set from an empty project and mix the tracks and sounds individually.
@@MartinStuertzer Very impressive. The balance and clarity is always superb.
Amazing concert! How are you using Push 3 with bitwig? Is it in stand alone?
No, there is a script (driven by moss) which enables some of Push's functionality in Bitwig.
Nice Martin! I see you are using bitwig (and push!) How is your experience? Thinking on switching from ableton, tired of it’s clock 😅 In my opinion its unusable in hybrid setups. Heard bitwig is rock solid
Bitwig is fantastic. As you can see I can control my setup with it and use hard- and software at the same time. Push integration is not so good unfortunately.
Hello Martin, thank you very much for your wonderful music and inspiration. Over and over again.
I assume you're using the Valhalla Reverb? If yes, which preset? Or something else? Thank you. Guido
The reverb is indeed from Valhalla DSP. I have some presets of my own, which I like to use.
Neptune just tried a jazz solo!🤣
He wishes! I am glad, he did not step on any keys this time.
Nice work Martin. Thank you for sharing. I notice the Pro 3 replaced the Pro 2. How are you liking the Pro 3 in your setup so far?
The Pro3 is a fantastic synth and a great improvement over the Pro2.
How are you connecting Cubase to the Ableton Push?? Never mind , I see now it’s Bitwig.
Right. :)
I wonder what a Martin Stürtzer diss track would sound like
What plugin is used for showing the played note?
It is called Gtune, I use it to tune my synths, because Bitwig has no tuner built in.
Gorgeous what tempo did you perform at tonight ?
thank you! 82 bpm
Is there any functionality missing when using the Push 3 in bitwig?
Yes. When playing the pads in mpe mode scales are ignored, you can browse through the tracks only in groups of 8 and the display and pads don't match, because Bitwigs cliplauncher is horizontal. These are my top 3 of stuff, that is not so great with Push in Bitwig.
@@MartinStuertzer But it is still worth using it over something like a launch pad?
That cat can create a real disaster in that room.
True! But he is very careful and nothing bad happened since I got him.
How does the Push behave in other daws?
It depends on what you try to do with it. It is ok, but leaves a lot of room for improvements.
@@MartinStuertzer good to know! Awesome videos btw, cat got me hooked immediately, stayed for the tunes.
Can I ask about your modular in the front?
Sure, what would you like to know?
@@MartinStuertzer I'm the "modular phase". Looking forward to get an analog modular gear and I'm not very familiar with the setup.. Seen that you can also custom build your modular or..? Is it yours maybe a pre-built components modular? What's the name of it? Thanks!
I thought you sold your Push 3!
I don't want to talk about this. 😅
@@MartinStuertzer Haha! Not a problem! I love the music you make, and the knowledge you share.
How is that Apollo QUAD interface holding up? I am planning on selling mine.
Oh I am using it only as eight additional inputs via the Adat out. I am not using any of the functionality it has as an audio interface or the plugins.
"I took a different approach in light, filming and editing. Please let me know in the comments, if you like this look."

Also hell, viel weiß, vielleicht sogar s/w. Daher kommt auch der Spruch "We fix it in the post". Preis egal.

Great i love having an unwatchable video in my sub feed for nearly 2 days 😬 fyi when it goes live it will probably be so far down my feed i won't see it
A good day to you too!
@@MartinStuertzer nooo I love your stuff but I hate the scheduled premieres it's so annoying 😭
I consciously chose to stop using YT "feed" features a couple of years ago. I use an RSS reader that can follow any YT channel. Much more civilized, and things don't vanish by being "far down" the feed, since they are grouped per-channel.
@@pauldavisthefirst That sounds like a nightmare, I would rather have a list of the newest videos from my subscriptions
@@ennayanne that's exactly what i have.
