Penny’s Balls of Fire star power became baseline after she was remodelled and Last Blast was removed from the game
Surge’s warp gadget was removed when he was changed. You could also not aim your jump as you only went up and down
Man your comment makes me miss old Penny. I loved using her pocket detonator against guys trying to melee her cannon and blowing up walls especially in Brawl Ball nobody ever expected it 😆 heck I even used it like Master Blaster to get jumpers off my butt. Detonator into last blast was just so amazing though.
Honestly she really needs a buff 5 hits for a super and that slow reload is so freaking rough. Also 3.5 seconds for her cannon is a bit overkill 3 seconds would feel allot better. She just can't keep competitively at all so I only play her casually nowadays.
Some pros and cons for new vs old that's for sure
Barley used to be absolutely broken in heist back in the day, you could concentrate his super to one tiny area, causing insane damage to the safe

I still remember watching all of the tribe members videos when I heard about the mega box glitch.
Scoring into your own goal is something i sure won't forget, the amount of times someone scored by accident whlie fighting for the ball was crazy
i lost over 300 trophies because i kept getting the same teammate who threw and self scored
Fun fact, if you use Charlie's first star power and super the training cave robot you can do 25,000 damage in one super

2 more things regarding gamemodes.
The gem mine used to spit out gems randomly, meaning that sometimes you'd win just because you got lucky and the mine spit them out in your direction. (I think more things used to be random too. Like Piper and Brock's super).
The bounty star used to not be blue, resulting in a lot of ties in the gamemode, especially at higher levels.
Yeah, a lot of other things were random indeed. Brock’s super was random and tick’s main attack was too, not completely sure about piper tho.

Most pins used to not be animated
Can’t forget the old days when Brawlers only had 1 star power and no gadgets. The hype when they released both of those was absolutely insane
Bea had her 2nd Starpower reworked that allowed Bea to be at one HP when an enemy does more damage then Bea's HP which cause Bea to charge her Powered Attack who killed her opponent, the Starpower one does effect one time per match. 8-Bit got his 2nd Starpowered removed and changed but before his Starpower allowed him to RESPAWN in the match after he died but only worked 1 time per match. Now SURGE WAS INSANE IN HIS REALEASE because his gadget could teleport him trough the walls and his attack literally split without needing to hit a wall.
That was Bea's 2nd star power not 1st

Surge did need his first starpower to make his attack split, it just made it always split, which later got nerfed/changed making it like it is now.

I knew all of these and remember 8-bit's second life star power? Or with the gale that u mentioned, he also had a star power that when using his super on teammates, yeaah it would just give them a speed boost. I also remember that if you killed a colt with mortis, there would spawn special green bats that would follow you. The colt had to equip the magnum special star power btw. Also people should remember pin packs and star power and gadget swaps. Also super city rampage had in the beggining of its release 4 BUGS. Or you could jump WAY back in beta with el primo into a corner in robo rumble and they would win. Also Lone Star existed and MAAANY facts I still didn't mention:) Byeee 🤙🤘🤟👌

Im playing since day 1 and i gotta say brawl stars is one of the few games where im like i don't really want to go back in time. The game is still as fun as it was 3 or 7 years ago.

If I remember correctly, Brock also used to have only 3 ammo spots instead of 4. Many used to complain because well his RPG had four missiles attached to it and they’d only have 3 (unless they use the star power)

penny had pins who got remodeled a bit, her laughing expression (laughing up and down), was changed to the one wich normal brawlers have (laughing from left to right)
The one big thing i remember was star power and gadgets. It was hilarious to see heist safes shred with combos like Darryl with ambush or Colt with incendiary. Those were the days
they fixed that bug which was in the game for a very long time tho :(
8:03 I still have a map just like this today, and it still functions the same as it did at the time!
The cactus was a placeholder for the bumpers, so there were 2 cacti in the map maker at the time.
And, when they patched it, I had 2 maps with these, and for some reason, one of them remained unpatched. And, the map still exists, and works the same!

Star power and gadget swapping was by far the greatest glitch in my opinion!
he used the tribe losing worlds siege clip with tyrant spinning when he talked about siege lmfao
Mortis used to have a glitch where if he dashed at a wall with his long dash at a certain angle, he could clip into it and avoid other player damage
Gail's spring gadget also used to launch you waaay farther and rocked at heist and hot zone, also Sprouts ult broke brawl bawl.

I remember first hearing about Brawl Stars on June 14, 2017. Multiple CZcamsrs, some who were part of Tribe and some who weren’t, took part in a special tournament with some of the devs in an underground mine to showcase the game’s launch. This included players such as Chief Pat, OJ, Nickatnyte, Molt, Powerbang, Trickshot, Sean (the dev from Clash Royale), and, THAT’S RIGHT, Ryan as well. I specifically remember OJ describing El Primo as a “Level 20 Royal Giant with an X-Bow”.😂 Speaking of OJ, he managed to summon three coexisting Bruces in that tournament. It’s interesting watching them all play without joystick movement existing back then. The entire tournament was focused on Smash and Grab, too.

Club league used to be great some time ago. We used to do it every week. But than they changed it. And then we have to do club league one week and club quest other week. It was super rewarding. Even if it would have been once a month it had progression beyond 4 fully filled mega pigs with there Starr drops. In old club league we used to get club tokens which we can use to buy stuffs which include coins and PowerPoint. It was simple and I miss the satisfaction. And also we could buy gear scraps and gear tokens.
Lets start with old gear
We had to craft gears by using gear scraps and gear tokens. Gear had three levels and gold was not needed to craft one

If you were beginner to the game, you used to be able to get two of the same brawlers of one team in matchmaking. Idk if that's still true since you always verse bots early on and there's now 79 brawlers or smth
I remember the 140 mega boxes… I woke up that morning, was still half asleep, opened up BS and saw the offer, thought I was dreaming and went back to sleep only to wake up to tons of videos about it… haunts me to this day😑
If you made a map with bumper tiles and you didn't delete it, it still works. You just can't add more or change them out
i miss the golden era after school play with your friends brawl stars collect the small boxes and then do your own box oppening or playing late at night with friends robo rumble with tickets
I remember that you could combine stat powers in friendly battles where you could do some really fun and extremely op combos

I remember that before brawlstars went global Barley could stack his whole super to a very small puddle and it would deal like 2000dps it shred the heist safe better than any Hypercharge or gadget nowdays and this was one of the features that made me like barley alot but it got nerfed

8:30 after the update there were 2 types of cactuses. Normal cactuses and bouncy tiles cactuses. Normal cactuses didn’t function like bouncy tiles, only the other type
Using the star powers of one brawler to another brawler in friendly matches
Remember when you can switch a brawler’s star power with another brawler in friendly battles. Like bull with poco’s star power would damage his own teammates
You used to be able to store boxes, with the small and big boxes, there would be a spot in the bottom left of the screen, and there would be stored boxed, this was before they added the brawl pass and they removed it when the brawl pass was added

I remember bee’s OP starpower (honeycome) where she would survive at 1 health
The infinite ammo glitch in training cave that is activated by exiting the game and coming back in then that brawler would have infinite ammo and of course we can't forget star power glitches and lastly da capo for Poco used to be called swan song where when he dies, in a wide are around him he will heal his teammates for 1000 hp

I think everyone remembers but there used to be a time when brawlers were unlocked by earning trophies.....eg. if u reached a 1000 trophies, u have unlocked Brock

Who remembers og brawl stars loading screen that was changed for the first time I think in summer of 2019, and keeps changing every time.
Ruffs had a longer name and no unload speed. You could fire three shots and the damage would calculate as one shot
Duels was so much fun there where no bad randoms and teamers its yust a 1v1 with 3 brawlers
0:01, 2020, was actually 2018 using your background gameplay
So I can remember to most of these ones, I know, that Rico was Ricochet, or that the enmys spawned behind their goal, but the change was before me starting to play Brawl Stars, so I didnt see it in game. But there are still some things I only dont remember, but I played while they were in the Game. The Piper Toothless Icon or the Power Play modes are something I dont remember. And thats funny, because I can remember the Epic Wins from Power Play, but not to Power Play itself😂
I only remember getting my first power level 9 brawler (Mortis) and going into power play 1 time and the next time it got switched to power league.
Penny's star power to her base attack you forgot about that and the box system after beta and before brawl pass and at that time it was way more hard to get the big boxes. Even I got my first big box from brawl pass from free pass since I started playing in 2018 on the 3rd day of global launch and on the 1st and 2nd day of global launch the brawl stars was literally became unavailable..... You totally forgot about that.

Has anybody else been pushing ranked and have had teammates that are non stop emote trolling or not even playing and purposefully throwing? I have lost 23 games in a row now, dropping from Mythic 2 all the way to diamond 1, doesnt seem like Supercell is paying any attention to banning these people from ranked games by reporting a bad random!
