- If you are out of status in Canada, you may eventually be called in by Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) in order to schedule your departure from Canada to your country of citizenship - this is called the enforcement process. If you have a strong and legal reason to want to remain in Canada, you may be able to submit a request for deferral to delay your removal from Canada temporarily.

What if you stay based on a pending application. Then before you got any reply from the pending application they request for a interview asking you to help them apply for a travel document. What do you do. The stay was for waiting on a application outcome. But they still sent me a letter. The stay was about 2yrs ago.
It depends on the type of application as certain applications do not stop removal from Canada. It also depends on your overall immigration history and circumstances.

@@keyorkimmigrationlaw How about if youre marriage to a canada where one application for sponsorship is withdrawn and they sent you a letter. Can yo put in another spousal application before they place a warrant against you?

File another spousal but this will not necessarily stop the enforcement process with CBSA.
