wow such a great gameplay, just throwing spears.. incredible. definitely an imrpovement of combat. i saw u can kill a fireclaw in like 20 seconds in this game. what a humiliation of such a dangerous strong machine
I'm playing HFW on VERY HARD and enemy encounters like this are punishing for me. I usually have to hide behind environments and attack or set loads of traps . Yet this seems so smoothly done.
Ooh! There's piercing ammo now too? VERY nice! Means you don't absolutely HAVE to freeze the big baddies now. Seems they've given us quite the higher powered arsenal this time around to be able to just brute force the bigger bads this time. Still, it means Freeze now becomes even more deadly & broken than ever :)
Not really if think that they upped the resistance of all machines to freeze so it’s not really op. In this game you can’t just freeze every monsters, you need to check their type weaknesses and resistances and go from there.
Thunderjaws are especially resistant to freeze now. At least there's shredders that can easily take out its cannons. I miss being able to farm those big bois
@@juan003 Well I mean you CAN, it will just take longer now & more ammo to accomplish. Late game you can kind of brute force the Freeze. Also aren't they susceptible to purgewater? That should make them sufficiently freezable.
Question. Does Acid work kind of like a weaker Freeze where your shots do more damage thru the armor plating? Does it just increase damage by a certain degree?
Acid damage increases your armor penetrating (tear damage) since it weakens armor. Yes it is very similar to how freeze damage works. The only the difference is freeze damage is related to impact (weak points) damage rather than tear damage
t-jaw combat is all about terrain now, they made them a lot less aggressive or so i feel the ones ive met so far have all resorted to ranged combat unless i blasted their face guns off at which point the cursing usually starts because *IM IN YOUR FACE NOW!*
So does this game have any sort of limit to how much stuff can drop in the environment before pickups start despawning? I know this was a serious issue in Breath of the Wild... Hoping it's not an issue here.

can you show how you take down a stormbird? after taking out the thunder cannon it kinda goes wonky on me and does almost nothing but supersonic skydive on me. so i wonder if there is a way to get that chicken under control other than taking potshots at the airvents
Can you do an apex fireclaw without breaking the chest sac? Those are the hardest machines in the game for me
Try using critical strikes with smoke bombs

Stun them with electricity and slowly rip off the other parts to debilitate, dont die in the process..Repeat till dead and loot

I bet u play games like COD, Halo infinite, battlefield, Fortnite, Far cry etc. Where u just shoot guns for the whole duration of the game.
The Shredders and Pike Throwers are my favorite weapons. Shredder is hella fun to use and the Pike Thrower is so satisfying for some reason

You get that armor in arena. Once you reach certain amount of arena marks, you can get the armor set

nope, no limit, you can easily pickup any detached stuff after killing the machine...

Try rope caster or stun ammo, they go down when they get stunned
