I live in Moraira (Alicante) and is one of the best places to live, the clear water of El portet Beach is amazing. Denia, Javea or Calpe are good places too and all the villages around.
The one thing a lot of people living in Spain will tell you, the miss seeing there grand children everyday and they really never know Granny and Grand Dad, would you agree, we go there for a Months 3 times a Year since Year 2000, and after the month we are glad to come home to hug the grand children
I would have just bought a small flat in the UK close to family and commuted back and forth. I would not have given up that lifestyle to return to the UK on a permanent basis. I could not think of anything more depressing.
If you live in this part of Spain, you actually live in an expat area. You don’t even have to learn to speak Spanish, but I did ( knowledge is power). The life in Spain is more laid back, you don’t even need ‘fuck you money’ ! But it’s convienient.
HI Gary, basically all of the beaches at Orihuela Costa do have the blue flag award which stands for high quality. Among these, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia and Cabo Roig are the most popular ones! Property prices are still very reasonable but do actually rise in the most demanded areas, specially on the seaside!
