I think what would make this a actual meta threat if you can get one of the 1 card combo starters to hit the field after the other has been negated, is there a plan for when the first summon gets like solemned or banished?
If sublime gets removed, mouse goes in Gy.
Therion Bullain is one card Isolde without NS provided mouse is in Gy.
You can also just do Igknight pop stuff, pend, search flint lady, Isolde. Go on. Olivier can help to.
And if they try to stop Isolde, Angellica.
Igknights can patch playstrings.
Extension is Igknights strenght.

I'd recommend cutting two of those painful decision for Summoners art as it isn't once per turn. Overall not too far off my build 👌 2 igknights can end on 6 negates and followup

Painful decision turns Renaud / Joy & new equip into very efficient cards.
Renaud dropping and adding back an Igknight is insane.
Painful decision is like the most wanted draw in a deck.

The deck can support large ammount of 1 card Isolde combos. Connector can join Sublime & Boxer
2. Go 2nd is all about HT rate, Igknights used to have a better HT rate potential.. LL see how much I can fit, but engine can out extend through boards at times even without HT's.

And i think i’ll cut therion just to add museum with pegasus to make 2nd charlenmage and almace 2nd eff. For me only i cut therion engine for kashtia.
1 thing to point out that u make angelica so soon b4 isolde and it make the deck vulnerable to nibiru a lot, if they nib u almost the charles combo hurt, so im prefer after pendulum making appollosa then go angelica or if they nib after u pen b4 appo is fine u still can make angelica with the scale and go 2 charlenmage + 1 gearfreid
The only way to make the deck meta again is to make isolde use less equips to combo. Having to always send 4 to combo is unplayble in the meta. At least back in 2020 you used 2 to summon genba. If we find a way to send only 1 equip (max 2) to combo and still end on a board thats good enough to outgrind the opponent (you dont really need the 4 omni's) then we good.
Hard disagree regarding that Gemba made fire warriors great. Olivier was more popular & better choice...
The whole Gemba combo I hateeeed so much, pure spite towards it, wont go in detail why tho.
Community in large never mastered Fire warriors. Igknights went under a radar.
I am making a fire warrior duel video, currently its at 10 Handtraps at 60 cards, ll see If I can go higher.
I 100% agree however that a smaller required engine would help, I dont see it getting smaller tho.
Required engine has grown in size due to Dracoslayers, fieldspells and whatnot. Currently my new build is at 5 equips
My only concern is handtrap rate... The engine itself can go second well so it doesnt have to be to high, but it being a bit higher would help.
As thats the only thing which would makes the list tier 2 as opposed to tier 1.
Tier 2 is still very meta tho.
The issue with Igknights is that none plays them. And without Igknights fire warrior ll never be at its best.
Igknights are the only Pend deck with 1 card combos, and entire ocean of 2 card combos. Every other pend deck can only be Jelly.
That alone speaks volume.
Not to mention they are the best Isolde deck in many ways...
This is very doable with the new support:
Isolde send Durendal summon Renaud
Renaud grabs Durendal
Durendal search Ignis
Ignis + Igknight search Ignis summon Majesty search the Museum
Make Beyond search a scale 2 Igknight
Pend Ignis Majetsy
Make Majester Paladin with the two
Field spell effect search Almac equip to Renaud link Renaud and Beyond for Selene
Almac returns Renaud to hand
Pop scales search Gearfried
Paladin effect send Majesty summon Ignis from extra
Selene summon Majesty from grave
Link Paladin and Selene for Apo
Summon Renaud from hand as a Tuner maje Angelica search the second field spell.
This ends on 2 Link Charles, Gearfried and 2-mat Apo. You also search a normal summon for next turn, so you have immediate access to Isolde next turn.
That said, I'm not super keen on the new support FOR Igknights. I find the Therions more compact and work better in general. I'm curently on a line that ends on 2-mat Apo, 2 Bounce Singularity, 3 Bounce Firewall, Protectcode Talker, Therion King, Savage, and Sublimation in hand off 1 Sublimation and a discard. The engine is so self-sufficient I'm on 16 staples - 12 handtraps, 3 Tactics, 1 Kurikara (and 3 Small World).
Well the patchability & extendability of such combo is lower. Altho you just made me want to explore Paladin...
I concluded That the Igknight Dracoslayer is the best target for Isolde by a large margin.
Paladin + Exceed the pend may cook nice so gotta see that.

@@Poske_Ygo Paladin is good with Selene specifically, and Exceed pretty much replaces both. You need to have a Dracoslayer in the extra to activate Paladin which requires you to pop your scales, which would promptly shut down Exceed. Exceed though makes the Codebreaker build for the deck more handtrap-resilient, as it gives an easy Link-3 with downward-pointing arrows you can access without any compromises.
