Always worth watching your channel. Thanks for sharing!
I found this channel less than a week ago and what a channel it is !! Brantley you are super informative where others beat around the bush, I personally think all aboard and all the huff n puff machines are super volatile you either win big or lose the house on them !! Keep up with the 🔥 content !!
Appreciate this great information, thanks Brantley Hope to see more of these!❤❤❤❤
Interesting. You say if the pointer stops at the $3500 but it doesn't record it, the casino can deny the award. But what if the gambler is filming - as she was doing here - and can prove it landed on $3500. Then what?
right on the machine: Malfunction voids all plays
Good question 🤔 but it wouldn't matter it would be the mechanics of the machine
The casinos also have top notch surveillance so I’m sure they can see where the pointer landed as well
So really the only instance that they would deny it is let’s say the pointer landed on $3500 but then the display said that the win was $8000. That is very rare, it is possible to happen, and in that case, it would not be awarded either way because there’s not a clear way to tell, which of those two is the correct number.
@@CowboySlots-what do you do as a slot tech? Do you just basically perform the maintenance on it? What are the qualifications and how do you get a job like that? Does it pay good?
Sounds like something I might be interested in.
Reaction video!?!? Oh I'm here for this!
Thank you for the explanation.
I always find your videos informative and easy to understand.
When I follow your advice, I win.
When I don't, Big L.
I have been playing slots for 5 decades, through their many changes.
Your channel is truly the ONLY channel that cuts through the bull hockey and truly delivers information that doesn't try to dazzle and baffle.
Whether one has a hundred or several thousand to play, you show respect.
I had a Prosperity Link Game at Indigo Sky that kept rebooting every time at the end of the Bonus Round. It would do a Hard Reboot that seemed to take forever. It even replayed the entire Bonus round on its own again showing the exact same results. Great Video btw, Thanks!
Let’s not forget the insane $144,000 hit Greg had their first night at Fontainebleau on Buffalo Ascension while Stacy was off looking for permission to film. That is amazing to watch.
So what was he bettin?
@@angelasmith257 If I remember correctly it was on a $75 bet
@@grandepdre bettin that high u either gonna win big or lose big🤣
@HC-sb1ru What was that?
Wait how did you watch it if they didn't know if they could be recording? Or did they start recording before getting an answer? I need to know 😂😂
Love the explanation! Thanks Brantley!
Wow 😮 Brantley, thank you for showing this from Stacey's live play! We always hear about malfunctions, casinos state "all malfunctions voids plays" on slot machines, but I've never seen one do it. I've walked by slots where no one is sitting at it, but the wheels just continue to turn without stopping. As always Cowboy Slots is THE channel for accurate information 😊
Very interesting video and the way you described the whole troubleshooting process actually intrigues me! Im a bit familiar with troubleshooting computers, so that sounds interesting and fun!
The malfunction was crazy! Great video
This video was educational. I've never seen a slot machine that malfunctioned. I've only heard about them. Thanks, Brantley, for posting it. If it ever happens to me, I'll know not to panic. Gonna watch her entire video to see how she hit the jackpots.
Thank you!
Thank you for this video .very informative and i truly appreciate your honest opinions on the machines for us that don't have the money for higher denom machines. 🎉🎉🎉
I am so glad you said it was a malfunction. Stacey got so many comments saying it was a glitch, a click bait, she didn't need to say malfunction on her thumbnail. I felt so bad for her. Thanks.
Great video Brantley! I subscribe to Stacey's channel and really enjoy her vids..... she and Greg crack me up Plus they show it it all, the good and the bad. 👍👍
Hey Brantley, Great vid. That has happened to me on a $1 machine when I pulled the handle. Thanks for the explanation cuz no staff came around to check. Once it rebooted I moved machines.
Very good review Brantley.
Ive seen this exact failure on WoF with another creator and the casino paid out the jackpot. Slot attendant had to manually restart the slot machine since it did not do self check and auto restart. There was some panic that casino would not pay out. Appears to be a common malfunction since its happening to other people.
Stace is the best just like you guys at cowboy slots.
More great info. Well done.
This was awesome to see that she was videoing and had proof if they had any issues with paying her out. BTW I enjoy your channel it's always nice to have a tech that has more info on how slots are run.
Thanks so much!!
Great react video! I love Stacey's channel too. There's another livestream they went to the Fontainebleau ("our best livestream ever") where they start playing Bonus Times around the 18 minute mark. Both Stacey and Greg hit 10x... 10x.... blank. Is that an instance where a "fake" tease result was shown instead of a different losing combination? On a Class 2 blazing sevens I've hit fire-7 fire-7 blank quite often but not all three, which makes sense for the bingo patterns. Is there a way to tell on Class 3 machines? Maybe one to react to :)
Great information!!
Great!!!! 👍 information!!!! & Advise!!! Thank you!😊❤ Cowboy🤠 Slots!!!
This just happened to me at argosy casino in Kansas City a few weeks ago. A breaker blew causing most other slot machines to lose power. I was in the middle of a bonus. When they machines finally came back up mine still was showing an error message and wouldn’t allow me to play. I actually had to come back the next day to finish out my session once they figured out what was wrong with the machine.
great explanation. I play at small casinos in upper michigan so there isnt always a slot tech on staff late at night. I was doing buy a bonus on coin trio one night i hit nuy $210 bonus my credits went down on the machine but the machine froze and had something on the screen error. Since we were recording and the manager saw it took our credits they refunded us. If not we would have had to wait for the slot tech to verify it the next day.
Great analysis Brantley. Happy Stacy was paid.
I had an issue playing dancing drums…. Same thing once it came back my win was there.
Great channel
A few questions if you dont mind. What is there any way to know whether a machine that has multiple denominations has different payback percentages per denom? Is it better to play a pure dollar machine vs a machine with coins up to dollar denom?
I got a malfunction a few years ago when online casinos opened in Michigan. The capital gains game hit the bonus and one of the balls was the 75000 credit ball. When it went the bonus screen that ball value changed to 2500. Bonus completed and went back go the main screen. The game only paid me for 2500 for that ball. But the ball value went back to 75000 when the bonus ended. Took screenshots sent in a ticket. They investigated got the game developer involved and they sent me the back end saying it paid correctly and it was a visual glitch. I was so upset.
Thank you ! I agree with your huff and puff ! Stacy is awesome and so are you
New subscriber here🙋🏼♀i really like your information on slots! Thank you 😊
Thanks for subbing!
@@CowboySlots you’re welcome!
Worst nightmare....😮......... panic....panic😂
Such good info. I’ve seen machines that won’t except your money or voucher. Frustrating.
Thank you for your knowledge
My pleasure
Thats pretty amazing going from machine to machine and keep winning like that, amazing session. Thats really hard to do.
It really is!
I've had several malfunctions occur during bonus rounds. The first time I panicked a bit but they rebooted the machine and it resumed exactly where it left off. Subsequent times I had friends with me and they freaked out but I told them relax, it'll resume where we left off after a reboot, and it always does. Still scary the first time it happens tho until you trust it!
I've stopped playing train games 🎉I have played them off n on, never good results, same for huff n puff
I was playing at the Nugget in Sparks NV. when all the power to the casino went off. Just like Brantley said the machine did not loose any memory. All my credits were there. It did take about 15 minutes for it to turn back on.
In 2020 I hit a $2400 jackpot on Triple Stars at NYNY and the power went out right after the machine locked up for the handpay. Once the power came back on, the handpay lockup was still active and I was paid by the attendant. The handpay amount displayed on the bottom left corner matched the paytable ($10, 2 credit machine, playing 1 credit a spin, American Flag 7/American Flag 7/Triple so $800 x3).
I was at foxwoods last night and they have all the top dollar versions there from the og all the way to premium.. this machines have are a bit smoother on reel movement but they have a bit of delay on sounds i noticed it too. Pretty interesting lol they opened a new high limit room and its insane
Thank you for covering this topic. I have a question and I’m sure your response will be that it depends on the Casino’s policy. A year or two ago. Yamaava’ experienced a power outage where they had to close the casino. I can’t imagine how many people were in the middle of a bonus or a few that was to receive a jackpot. So now, the power goes out and they are forced to leave. Power goes back up and based on the internal memory, the game picks back up. Let’s say someone leaves their players card and when they do a run down (because the game picked back up from when it turned off) they see that the machine won a jackpot. They see it has a player’s card in the machine. Do they void those, do they check the players card and reach out to pay the winner? How would a casino handle that? Also, for those that had money in the machine, how do they claim what they had in there? Maybe an idea for a new video? 😃
That happened to me when i punched right through the screen because it wasn't paying out. Just playing 😂
Keno machines at my local casino tend to reboot like that a lot
Nothing gonna stop me from getting to Casino, hell with those Red lights
Great video
I have seen a couple of Quick Hit machines do this when no one was playing them. I just figured it was a Casino ghost 😂😅
I've watched a few players have the machine door open during play, then they just shut it and kept going. That's crazy
I have seen some big payout malfunctions. One day in Shreveport I saw a $5 slot start paying $1000 on each spin. Since win meter would go over $1200 it would spit a ticket out. After about 16 tickets. A slot supervisor came and shut it down. Another time the casino had just let loose some new penny slots. MAX pay was supposed to be $10,000. After these had been up and running a few hours. They would go to the bonus, and never stop counting up. The players would let the meter run until it would quit. You know it takes rime to run to 1.5 million pennies. There was 4-6 of these slots. Eventually the slot staff got them all shut down about 3 in the morning.
The budget these creators have is mind blowing.
Stacey and Greg work very hard for what they have. Stacey is a hard-working business owner as is Greg. They’ve earned every bit of it.
I saw a casino glitch when jackpot symbols lined. The lady was filming they had to pay the lady. The win was printed on the ticket inside of the machine
Love your channel. Wish my wife would watch it .😁
during the spin feature on all aboard slot, is the outcome decided before you press the spin button? I hope you'll try to play all aboard slot soon :)
i watched a Buffalo Ascension hit a HUGE jackpot and the extremely drunk slot player is banging on the front of the screen and it BLACKS OUT !! 9800 dollar win. 15 seconds later the machine comes back on and REPLAYS the jackpot. They paid the jackpot
I won the grand jackpot on 88 Fortunes in a New Mexico casino back in 2014, and the slot tech ran diagnostics to be sure that the grand payout was valid. It was something like $10,300, so the grand had hit fairly recently. My guess is that it was casino policy to run diagnostics to check the validity of large payouts.
Thanks Brantley and sorry to hear Stacey and Greg were in a accident I hope everyone is doing good besides the black eyes.
I play at a tribal/Indian casino ..most is bingo pattern based payouts..is the winning payouts already predetermined by bingo pattern matched? Ex. If the pattern hits corners the pay is small but if it hits cross corners it pays out more bc more bingo #s matched to form a bigger pattern?
This happened to me on 17 March. The techs came in and worked their magic and I got paid and kept playing. It took about 20 or so minutes to reboot and run the diagnostics. Of course it seemed like an hour.
If you were going to play top dollar or pinball. Is it worth playing the 3 credit versions of those games or should we stick to the 2 credit ones. Is the 3rd credit worth it ?
Great video, Praise GOD she got her money!!!!
I was playing a progressive slot it reset in the middle of a pay. I didn't worry, they found the door was not closed all the way. Closed the door and my win continued to record and that was all. I also had a malfunction where the floor supervisor and the techs were there the tech didn't believe what I said, he pulled the handle and did another spin the credits were deducted but the reels didn't move. The tech embarrassed himself in front of a supervisor but my attitude was don't worry about it, I was a tech for video games and understand how electronics work. Everything was cool in the end.
IT DID & I didn't worry .
About ten years ago I was in Atlantic City at Ballys and was playing on a sizzling sevens seven times pay machine a 25 cent machine before the printed tickets back when jackpots were paid in quarters. Little did I know someone before me had used duct tape and placed it under the hopper jamming it. I then hit a jackpot on the machine and it malfunctions due to the duct tape. I had to wait for a hopper refill, but because the slot tech found the duct tape they said I was cheating other slot players. I told them it's not my duct tape and to check the cameras to find the cheat. They paid the jackpot but told me to leave immediately and not visit Ballys anymore.
On top dollar. I have read in the rules that the machine will tell you to take offer or try again but it doesn't mean a better offer is coming. The machine is programmed to tell you take offer or try again depending on the credit amount and offer amount.
If you think it's a good offer, take it.
Funnily enough i got a $10 handpay once on pinball. Very odd malfunction. People kept coming by asking "how much did you win" it was pretty funny
I was playing in a casino once that experienced a complete power failure. There was some concern among other players in the room for a while, but I knew it would be fine and sure enough...
I've seen this on Wheel of Fortunes (Double Diamonds specifically) many times. Get excited and slap the console or play drums when you win and you're scrolling til the tech comes.
That does happen and is pretty common. That particular instances called a reel tilt. If the machine is bumped or hit too hard, then it will lock up with that error.
Often had machines reset during a win but always continued to pay out the win after resetting.
Our casino has the .50/ 9 line double top dollar that I play, and yes you have to Play max ($5) to get the bonus!
I had a bar top VP machine die on me at Lucky Dragon (RIP). When the tech rebooted the machine, my credits were gone and so was any history. They asked me how much I had in the machine. I had only played a few hands and had a good idea of the amount. They went to the cameras and paid me what I said I had in the machine.
I'm not a slot tech but work with servers. In a situation like this with a piece of hardware that is needed to generate revenue or otherwise you don't want to be out of production long, I understand why they just let it reset. It's not like a server where you can review logs and look at things while it does its thing. My question is did they take the opportunity to do that when it wasn't being played? That would be the prudent thing to do. And of course if it happened again then it's time to take to that deeper dive to diagnose the root cause.
Yes Sir I watch Stacey🎉
It's always the button panel or the big wheel I always have problems with the wheel of fortune game.
One time I pressed the brightness button and the machine did this a slot tech opened the machine and continued playing
Looking good! 🤠
Appreciate it 🤠
Malfunction at 16:00
Theres a lot of other good information in this video explaining other games. Really wouldn't recommending being impatient and skipping ahead.
@@CowboySlots Agreed, but for when I want to show my dad later I have a bookmark set.
What are the top 3 slot machines to play if i only have $300 or so to play
I have a question about scatter. How does the term "scatter" relate to free spins? I've tried internet searches on the matter but failed every time. I finally concluded it was a word just pulled out of a hat. I have to know im losing sleep over here...
I was on a riverboat in Mississippi, probably mid 90s, that had a total power failure. When power came back there was about a 30 minute period where it seemed like half the machines in the casino hit jackpots. Coincidence?
Yes, that would be a coincidence but also remember that when a machine powers back on it’s going to flash the candle on top. So it may seem and look like there’s a lot of people hitting jackpots, but in reality they are not. Also to sometimes the player tracking, which is also responsible for generating the ticket can take additional time to bring back online. This will cause any payout even a few pennies, to trigger a hand pay.
This was a better video since day one. You clarify all of the possibilities of a malfunction.
I'm in MN which is the tightest state (80%) due to (unchangable) tribal contracts since the 1990's. If you don't play high limit you lose.. period. If you play HL you'de better have a buttload of cash.
The richest tribe in the U.S. exists here and they still have alot of original video mandated games manufactured in 1990.
I'm debating whether to move just because of this legalized extortion. Maybe its because 700 tribale members ger 1 million per year.... ya think?
get .. not ger .... haha
I've seen this happen because of a loose door more often than not in fact lol.
My machine kept malfunctioning because it was to HOT 🔥 to the touch and the slot tech had to shut OFF my machine and no one was able to play it. I put so much money into it I was very disappointed.
If it was overheating, it’s probably best that it be turned off at least for a while. Hopefully, they were able to get it back up in a reasonable amount of time for you to still enjoy it.
When a machine goes down like that, does the casino automatically know, that a machine powered down and restarted ? Is there some kind of error or transmission sent to in house slot techs ? or when this happens on a machine the casino relies on the customer to inform them ?
Not always, depends on the error. Usually it's noticed by surveillance, either them or the player would come grab one of us.
@@CowboySlots I was always curious about that. Thanks for the reply and the great video
What stinks is if casinos don't want to pay out a large jackpot, they claim the machine malfunctioned and refuse to pay, but they will give you a free meal.. Apparently this happens a lot.
Not true and it doesn’t happen.
@CowboySlots so....more fake news huh? That exact scenario has been in the news on multiple occasions.
@@shanekuchler9569 actually in most cases yes it is fake news. There’s only about one very famous case that everybody likes to refer back to and repeat where a lady supposedly won over $1 million and the casino denied it. The reason why they denied it, however, is because that machine does not go up to that amount. That is a legitimate reason to deny a jackpot. But of course, he will not see the news telling you that part. Actually, what I would like for you to do is email me the articles that you’re talking about and I’ll be more than happy to do a reaction video on those.
I had an atomic meltdown slot machine do this to me a few weeks ago. Had to call a attendant to come fix it. She was bangin on the side of it and it fixed it.
Our new Casino is nice but I have never seen so many machines out of service. And sometimes weeks at a time
What happens if you get the spin bonus, the machine fails before the spin button is pressed, and they cannot bring the slot back online (catastrophic failure)?
So that would be a pretty extreme situation, but a situation that is possible nonetheless. In the event that the machine could not come back online each, Casino would handle that situation differently, so it’s difficult to say what the outcome would be for each person. Speaking from the casinos that I have worked at, the procedure would be to pay out the player what they had in the machine and take their information so once the machine does come back up, they can be contacted.
15:00
If this ever happened to me, I'd grab a casino slot attendant (if I can find one); will they be able to tell me immediately whether I won the jackpot or a slot malfunction? or do I stay in the panic state for them to look into it? Thanks
I remember when I hit my huge jackpot they had the gaming board come in and take the slot apart and messed with the CPU/hard drive.
There was about an hr where 2 techs were in there messing with the thing. The casino host told me slot malfunctions happen, but they're so rare that they don't really happen.
If they deny a jackpot on a malfunction if it’s caused due to low maintenance or neglect can you fight them for it or sue or something?
Hello I got a question I live in Detroit and go to greektown casino I play triple double stars 5$ bet what is the highest jackpot I can hit
Been 2 Dan's Casino in Tampa......Great Place....Liquor in the Front .......Poker in the Rear
Nice 🎉
We were playing a slot at the Luxor back in the late 90s and they had to keep coming back to refill it with dollar coins. Finally the last time she filled the machine she closed the door and the machine said tilt. They said they couldn't fix it and turned it off
Those coin machines tilted all the time
I was at Turning Stone in upstate NY a couple of weeks ago (for the eclipse!) nd one of the slots I was playing on experienced a 'reel tilt'. I forgot which game it was, unfortunately.
Happens all the time when I fast stop
@@MustHitSlots i don’t remember if I did a fast stop or not. Makes sense however.
After the fact. IS there an error log system that the tech could look at the see what happened?
Yes
Very first time I went to fountain blue was in December 2023 right after they had opened and just before I got there a man had one over $1 million on a $10 bed on wheel of Fortune! The next time I went, they had comped my stay based on my slot, the first time which was not too muchand I did really well on the dragon games! They’ve given me another comp day and I’ll be going back in May! You must go!
