- This was bittersweet in so many ways. I said goodbye to the 306 and met the machine to take it's place in the same day. Also met the man who influenced me to start this crazy life. @cotontop3

You don't give yourself enough credit. I've seen you run equipment and you're a good operator too. Keep up the good work
Thanks a lot buddy. That means more than you know. I appreciate you watching and commenting
Love my 306 with an Engcon rotator and Trimble earth works. You cant beat that setup!
Wow that is a nice setup. I have 0 complaints about the 306. I'll have anther video more in depth of why I sold it. I already miss it
Great video Lindsey but the cliffhanger was a big surprise lol you're killing me here 🤣
Lol. Patience my friend!
Hey Bigfoot, you want me to tell you? 😂
Signing your chainsaw was my favorite part.. that really came full circle!!
It's still hard to process
Just saw the short, D3. Nice rig.
Too nice for me
Oh I'll be back because I gotta run the new piece and also gotta quiz your bro law about the difference between a post oak and white oak 😂😂😂
🤣🤣 he gonna blame me you just wait! While he's on vacation, I'll make you a heck of a deal on some equipment!
Man I really liked the grapple saw. What will become of it?
Right now it's for sale. I hesitated getting rid of the 306 because of the grapple saw lol. I barely got to use it. But best believe if things work out, I will have one for the 313.
Sorry to see you letting that 306 go. We’ve barely run ours but so far it’s such a nice machine. The extra room in the cab is a huge plus over the older gens and others in its class.
I’m still wanting a 313. I went to dealer last week to look and saw a 313, 315 and 317 side by side. Honestly the 313 looked like the right size machine for small residential work and road work. Are you still happy with yours? Or if you had a do over would you guy up a size?
It was a hard decision. But hopefully I'll have anther in the future. It was a very nice machine. I love my 313. If I had it to do over again and in the same time frame, I would've went with a 320. But only because of what I know know and what the cost of things are. I could've nearly got a 320 for what the 313 costs now. But as far as size and power, the 313 is plenty. I don't think there's that much difference in 313 to 317 to justify going up to a 317. I think if I had a 317 I would be just as happy and wouldn't want a 320. Hope that makes sense. The 315 is a zero tail swing and would be better suited for residential stuff. But for land clearing like I do, I want all the extra weight in the back as I can get.
@@smithworx1091 follow up question. For you having your own road tractor and low boy, do you feel moving the 317 would be harder than the 313? I’m trying to decide between the two. I’d rather go bigger first with the cost of everything constantly going up. But, worry maybe that’s too much of a jump. I’d be paying someone to haul the big stuff so it really isnt a huge concern, but I may get my own tractor and low boy so was interested in what you thought. Just curious if you thought the 317 or 320 is a different category for moving it job to job with the road tractor and low boy.
@WeGoOutdoors I've actually been talking to my Cat Rep about the 317 and 320. I think the 317 wouldn't be that much different than the 313. But the 320 I believe is over weight. So you would need a permit. I have no clue if that's expensive or not. The 317 has the same undercarriage as the 320. If you plan on moving the machine a lot then the 317 might be the better choice. But then again the money invested in a tractor and lowboy would go a long ways in having a 320 moved around.
@@WeGoOutdoors just emailed you
3:07 I was thinking a blown turbo sucking in engine oil. then I realized the smoke was from a burn pile. Miller Light will do that.
🤣🤣🤣 that would've been a good video though!
@@smithworx1091 I had one on my phone. a Kubota mini blowing a smoke screen like never seen before but I deleted it. almost to the point of hydro lock but I deleted it months ago.
@@radioace318la ahh man! That would've been a good one.
I've got some footage filmed where I give you and Sam over at TriStar diggin a mention. I mentioned you had a 306 but didn't have a dozer yet. You gonna make me a lier on both LoL. It'll probably be a few weeks or so, maybe longer before that video comes out. I'm a little behind on editing videos right now, and have a few ahead of that one. Can't wait to see the new addition.
🤣 that's awesome bro. Be sure to tag us. I'm still trying to figure that out
@@smithworx1091 I'm not sure I know how either 😂
Thanks, sounds good, looking forward to seeing it. To tag another channel all you do is put this symbol @ in front of the channel name, in the title. That will notify the channel they have been mentioned...
@@tristardiggin Man you are getting the CZcams figured out. I seen the wireless mic you got. I need one for when Im away from the camera or have something running. I've just never sit down and took the time to read up on them. The camera I broke had decent audio even further away, the GoPro doesn't.
@@LifeWithChase the one I bought has only 1 transmitter for a lot less money than the 2 transmitter set. Super easy to use and sounds great...
What grapple saw did you have on that 306
Hammerhead GSR 55
That thumbnail though 😏😏
She cute
@@smithworx1091 thumbnail- frumpy 🤣
Cliffhanger!!!
I shouldn't have posted that short lol
You could’ve sent it to me, I would be more than happy to pay the shipping!!!
🤣 I should've posted it for sale on here
@@smithworx1091 unfortunately out of my price range. I’m looking in the 4t range. Personal use here on a small farm.
@@bigjimflying7195 I gotcha buddy.
Are you selling the grapple saw that you just got rigged?
Yessir. Right now I just don't have a machine for it.
what did you get a wheel loader?
Lol. Is this a joke about the last job? 🤣 I'll have a video out soon
I can’t believe your selling your CAT
Sold buddy.
I talked to him the other day. I'm betting he gets a Tak
I think that's the only other option in this class isn't it?
@@smithworx1091 not really. My Volvo is in that class. Plus Deere, case, and doesn’t bobcat have one.
@VT Outdoor Services I didn't even think about deere or case 🤦🏼♂️. I guess a bobcat E85 would be close but it's 18k lbs.
Yanmar
@Big Jim Flying forgot about them too 🤣
Do you still have the 313
Yes sir! It's finally about dry enough to fire it up and get some work done
CT3
Ole Cotontop!
Are you selling your grapple saw
As of right now I am. I have no use for it
@@smithworx1091 my machine is a little bigger I have a 309. I would be interested in buying it if I can figure out mounting
@Johnny Cantrell I had a 309. That would be a awesome setup to be honest. It would handle the saw a lot better. All you would need is the ears and pins to mount on the saw. I have all the other stuff. You should already have a case drain
I have an extra hammer plate. I think can make it work.
@Johnny Cantrell should be able to. If you're serious just email me and we can talk about it.
Stuff comes and goes. Probably got more $ than you paid for it new!
Pretty much. I had enough equity that it paid the taxes. But you know Cat got to make their money on it 🙄
Say it ain’t so!!..🤦🏻♂️
Could you tell I wanted to cry? Lol
@@smithworx1091 you would have good reason to!..I wanted to cry myself!..😓
@Andrew Holmes 🤣🤣 I hope it's just a "see you later" y'all start sending me money and I'll go buy anther one. I'll name it after you lol
@@smithworx1091 I will buy one for me first…then I may consider you!..lol!!…I was looking at one but they’re so pricey…I have a couple kubotas and one big kitty and I had a 302.7 and a 305 in the past and they were great but that 306 is just so high in price…I’m looking at a new Kubota kx080 for about $25k more but the kubota financing is that much better the monthly payment is $700 less a month!
@Andrew Holmes oh wow. That's a big difference. The salesman told me that a new 306 like mine is 111k now. Not sure what they are in your area.
