this video smells like chlorine
From what I understand of your profile picture you seem to very much hate the smell of chlorine
Yeah.. feels like *_sipping on straight chlorine_* If you got that, I love you
From what I gathered, the white one was only romantically involved with the coach to be prima, but whenever the new girl in red came she had to share the spotlight. She then realizes that the red girl was seeing the coach as well and going to be favorited over her. I think the red girl new this as well and tried to sabotage the white girl. But the white girl had been training extra hard to be better than her on her own time and the red girl couldn't hold her breath as long. The white girl is happy at the end because she realizes that she doesnt need to take shortcuts like romancing the coach and that her hard work proves that she's more skilled.
This was great
But just me who felt like I couldn't breathe the whole way through? I was dying for someone to take a breath
What I've learned is that synchronized swimming is more beautiful beneath the surface
It is and it isn't, it's very peaceful when you are alone underwater but it feels like chaos in team routines. We have to say in close paterns and hit each other a lot. Not to mention boosts where we throw someone out of the water, these sometimes lead to concussions and broken toes and fingers.
i feel like i can't breath
Idk why but my brain slowed my breathing and I was taking short breaths but when she took a breath I unconsciously inhaled super loud and my breathing went back to normal
@@pee1469 OMG same like throughout the whole video I just felt like I couldnt breathe but she she took a breath I just felt Like PPOOOOOOOOF and then my breathing went normal
It's beautifully filmed, it felt so satisfying when she took a breath.
Although, I didn't get what girl in white was going for.
She was trying to win the coaches heart. But then a new girl shows up, and the coach likes the new girl instead of her. so ya
Read the comment of arisa Its a few comments above urs. She explained everything
3:10
It says "2 days left until Saint-Petersburg's championship"
5:40
"1 day left"
Who else is looking through the comments while watching this and is looking if there is anything bad gonna happen and someone says omg that was close
The comments are
70%=I couldn’t breath
20% how did they hold for that long
10%=other stuff
Aye, she kept going down to get the coaches things, and then when the girl almost drowned... she got that.
A fantastic piece of art! But was anyone else freaked out by the coaches corn rows?
Yeah bc it's not his culture and anytime white people get braids the look really ugly🤣👎🏾🤦🏾♀️
Good Christian Child nah I have brown hair and i’m white with brown hair and i had dreadlocks and i looked bomb sooo shut up
Diamond's vlogs That was racism right there I’m white and I wear braids all the time
Diamond's vlogs thx I have cornrows and I'm white thx a lot I feel great about myself now
The end might mean that she can finally breath a fresh air, maybe she was suffocating throughout the whole relationship with the guy.
I love the imagery of the girl wearing white, to show up well in water, and stand out as the main character. All the girls wear blue because the girl in white knows they aren’t a threat- they’re as neutral to her as the water they swim in. They just blend in with the blue water. But when the opponent girl shows up, she’s in red. Red is very different than blue- when you see red underwater, it tends to be depicted as blood. When red shows up on white, people tend to immediately think of blood. Blood is typically thought of as a bad sign, because it means someone is bleeding. There’s an injury, a threat.
The girl in white wore white all throughout, but during the ending piece, her suit had a little bit of red in it. This showed how the girl in red had affected her, invaded her mind, and influenced her performance. But- white was still the main color. Because the girl in white was the one who won.
Cool. But why the row of red flags and the tiny red band floating in the air at the end?
What a beautiful, sensuous film! Who needs the language of words, when bodies and water make for a far more evocative human drama?
When I was small I thought that every time you held your breath your heart would stop beating
The coach ain't even cute though
so deep, shows how one action could cause a whole lot of tragedy
A rare piece of cinematic jewelry
Beautifully performed, filmed and produced. I can't even imagine the level of commitment needed by all participants to pull this off. Thank you to Omeleto and everyone involved here for going the extra mile to create a cinematic masterpiece, above and (especially) below the surface.
What I've learned is that coaches should not be screwing around. Very nice film though.
Only if I could swim like that, those r pros ,damn
animeplier well it's not that tough to go up and move forward but to move that smoothly under water for me is damn tough
It does look hard, I'd how they are moving so gracefully (for the most part)
WOW. JUST WOW. This short has some of the best cinematography i've ever seen. Great freaking work. Props also need to go to the girls whose underwater choreography was on point. I love how the story is told without any audible words hats off to the filmmaker.
Excellent cinematography!
I literally couldn’t breath the whole video.
*i saw my life flash before my eyes*
Why do so many people spell breathe like breath, breath is pronounced like Breth, breathe is different from breath, for example, Humans need to breathe to survive. Another example, take a deep breath, Julia! Hope ya'll understood!
This was brilliant!!!!! A whole story was told using no words. Only body language, dance moves, and water....all while playing on a fear that we all have...drowning.
The amount of time that they can hold their breath for is astonishing
9:52 I felt so releaved somebody finally took a breath.
It’s such a beautiful n meaningful peace of art!
The whole film is about leaving your regrets and your past in the past. Only then u can take a deep and free breath.
The girl « defeated » her competitor and decided to leave her past lover. She gets out of water, which was her world and her cage at the same time. She is free now.
Except for the very last scene, the entire film is shot underwater. The view is so surreal and beautiful at the same time, hats-off to the camera angles. There's a lesson from this short but meaningful film, i.e. no matter what happens, you need to trust your abilities, You need not win over someone to be the best. None but you know who you exactly are. That's it! stay confident, stay strong and smile.
Thank You
They make it feel exactly like you're in the pool! The sounds especially.
SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME OXYGEN PLEASE
These girls are outstanding! the physical strength that's displayed is ridiculous!
Full of meaning without a word! 10/10
Poignantly beautiful. It almost reminds me of the movie "Black Swan." Synchronized swimming is really a water ballet. So sort of a "Black Swan Underwater," only in this version the original lead triumphs.
The film was beautiful and all, but I'm so confused on what happened?

@@drqmz5719 I'm pretty sure that I've seen the exact same comment made by Arisa 8 months ago, but it could be a coincidence
This may be one of the best looking videos I have ever seen. The underwater photography was, well, breathtaking.
This will be one of the most underappreciated videos on this entire channel! Good thing it has lots of rewatch potential.
*The relief I felt after she took a breathe **9:48** I felt like I was drowning the whole time*
This made me really appreciate the fitness level of synchronized swimmers.
Is there more of this?? I have no words to explain how beautiful this short film is.
I’m a synchronised swimmer myself at this standards. Every comment in this comment section is making me laugh lol. Can’t breathe? Actually try doing this. I can hold my breath for 3 minutes without coming up. And it’s an amazing feeling. Seeing the world from underwater is what we’re trained to see. Messing around in water is totally normal and fun to us. My friend and I always mess around under multiple depths for minutes. This metal beating stick thing, music to my ears. Communicating underwater is ever so easy. Seeing clearly without goggles, my god, it’s a dream. Feeling safe, at home, at peace but only in water. 100’s of laps is a breeze and seeing a reflection of yourself in that water, u know ur at one with the underworld. Take a moment, sit on the underworlds floor, scream. Scream. Scream. Scream. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. The amount of things that get lost in those depths is amazing yet annoying. The amount of times drowning has been brought up only to laugh it off cos do we ever drown? Yes. But do we survive it? Obviously. One simple breathe and we go under. Wayyyyyyyy under. Dancing. Dashing. Prancing. Synchro. It’s what we are bread to do. It comes to a point where walking is abnormal. Think of it from our world. Appreciate the years of training.
These people can hold their breath for a long time the longest I’ve held my breath was 3 minutes (I ended up in the hospital)
Jeez really that must've been really scary I can only hold my breath for 32 secs
The way they move in the water is actually so damn graceful tho. Beautiful.
After 3 years this is still my comfort film
Man, sitting on the lane lines was always a no no in highschool 🖤
Love how she just walked outside soaking wet with a swimming suit on
This is simply amazing! A good story and an incredible piece of filmmaking. What gorgeous bodies those women have.
This is a nice story and quite sad
I couldn't breathe some of this video I was suffocating... Sheesh!!!
This the most graceful fight seen I’ve ever seen
I love the style of this film. It's kind of comic book like. And the lack of dialogue allowed for an opening for the expressions and movements to set the tone.
11 minutes and 37 seconds of me drowning
Them: swims in water for hours
There full face of makeup: yas Queen u go :D
Me: drips one drop of sweat
My full face of makeup: imma end this whole mans career
We use waterproof makeup. The reason we wear it is so the judges can see our facial expressions from far away as it’s an artistic sport. :)
Awesome camera work & beautifully filmed.
Wow, so beautifully filmed! This is art. And what gorgeous ladies. I didn’t get the red ribbon part. And ummm, why did the RED girl attack? I thought it was going to be the white one that would, because she was jealous. And why did the red girl suddenly become unconscious 🤔? I know I need to use my brains more. But mannn, so beautifully done. Beautiful masterpiece of cinematography! And the white Girl acted beautifully too. Top grade Cinema.
johnybrokeit the girl in white pushed the girl in red and went down when that wasn’t a part of their choreography so the girl in red tried to go after her. In her frustration to chase after her and continue their choreography she lost her breath which I think is what the girl in white was going for(but possibly she just didn’t want to continue anymore) and I think her going up and gasping for breath is symbolic of how she got revenge and how satisfying it was for her. It can also be symbolic of how attached she was to her coach when the shots were always in the water and when she got revenge that could’ve symbolized that she didn’t want him anymore and moved on from them both which is also why I think she left the entire place where the pool is located. (I like to think she only joined that team to get close to the coach because they knew each other before and she loved him)
them: *fightung underwater and don’t drown*
me: *someone touches me underwater and drowns*
Beautiful and very unique!
i love the way this was filmed, so unique
I was dying for one of them to take a breath
11:32 thank u for taking out the camera
this deserves an award
This was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, visually speaking.
The fact that they don’t show the surface of the pool makes me feel like I’m holding my breath
I've actually done synchro for 7 years now and instead of going for the coach I went for the lifeguard instead 😂
The backgroud score is brilliant!!!
Wow, almost the whole thing was filmed underwater. That was pretty creative!
Imagine how wrinkly her fingers would be and how does ur eyes not sting from the chlorine?
The chlorine doesn't make ur eyes sting, its the pee in the pool..
Omg did they just draw eyes on the eyelids for the shots of the women opening their eyes underwater
When she finally took a breath it was like heaven
I like how the whole film was her underwater, In her perspective.
The Whole Video Was Underwater Until She Took The Breath
Was I the only one trying to hold my breath???
I've been a swimmer for 13 years now but all the way long watching this video,I literally felt like I cannot breath !😷
Lol when they turned upside down I turned my phone thinking that it turned 😂
Wow..
Who else felt like u weren’t breathing 😅
Just watching her not breathing for a minyte at least makes me feel breathless
I have to say, these films make me cry
HELP, IM DROWNING, AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH
Aww~~😭
Movement is so beautiful under water. 🥰
it was sooooo satisfying when she finally came out
Is it me or does she wanna be a mermaid?
Can anyone translate the signs for me please?
It’s looks so peaceful and graceful underwater 💕
anyone else feel like they were drowning in this vid because like it nearly shows them taking a breath😷
I think it's green screen because they were on there phones under water so
Me hhhh
I feel as if I can’t breathe right now
Same
Same 😂
