- This is a short overview and comparison of J31
Additional details:
It uses 10160 image tubes
Also available in white phosphor but due to its lens coatings i would advise going with green (p43)

If only we could get the housing only and adapt it for Carson lenses. That would be unbeatable
Huh? There endless many housings fir the same price. Same quality or even higher. With Carson compatibility.
I don't know why it should be impossible. Just buy only the housing.
Finally! Was waiting to see how the glass was haha
Great video
Very nice review tapik! I was curious about these! They dont look bad at all for the price 👀 there should be a possibility to mount AG NVT6 to it hahaha
Hopefully some vendors will start carrying the housing alone, i want to get echos in mine some day
@@onetapik_ empty housing would be even better!
@@onetapik_ if argus pvs31 start for sale will you still choose itay 31s?
thank you
Very based
These seem awesome…
Hey! I am seriously considering these nods and I have a doubt. Due to the smaller lenses, what would be a good option to put sacrificial lenses or protection?
Cold harbor supply made an adapter kit so you can run the same sacrificial lenses as a pvs14
just curious, Are this been repaired?
How long did it take you to receive them from when you placed the order? Trying to figure out how quick they are to make them
You mentioned on the description that you would recommend the green over the WP, can you elaborate a little bit? Sorry new to nvgs and trying to get as much info before I pull the trigger on something
white phosphor is a different color of nightvision making it look more blue rather than green
@@e3n975this is not why he asked, foo
There is bad chromatic aberration with the WP version, due to the lenses from what I hear.
I think he recommended green phosphor over white phosphor because of cost. Green costs substantially less than white phosphor does. Analog night vision is expensive to begin with so most folks looking to invest might be relieved to know green is more obtainable financially.
Green is cheaper than white.. adding Onyx Filters will make them(green) look white. I have 1 on my PVS14. It's very nice.
I can’t seem to find them in the states sadly
Only a time question, nocturnal tendencies might be looking into getting some
@@onetapik_one question
@tekdoestricks9284 what was your question
Custom Night Vision just announced that theyre selling them now
Would really like more elaboration on why the green is better than white?
Personal preference probably as everyone's eyes are different. I'm slightly colorblind in the green spectrum. So the lightest pigments of green I have a hard time seeing. Making green phos in low low light conditions harder for me to identify things than a white phos option.
The green is cheaper by a large margin than white phosphor in cost. Green phosphor is more likely to cause eye fatigue than white phosphor image intensifier tubes.
these certainly arent the cheapest binos
Then what are ?
@@The.Boggest.Honcho the diy digital stuff using low light fpv cameras, of course nothing is gonna beat analog tubes, but 10160s cost nearly $3000 per tube where i live..... an fpv camera cost $70
that is the cheapest option but they suck tbh@@ShopeeMarketteam
@@ShopeeMarketteamthis is not comparable to digital. Digital is not in the same class
@@onetapik_ I was referring to his question, what were the cheapest nvgs on the market, digital ones
I'm aware that these ones have tubes😂😂
