- In this Khutbah reminder Ustadh Nouman explains how envy and jeolousy should not be underestimated and how they could lead to major sins, he proves this by describing the reason Iblis rebelled against Allah, and the first murder recorded in human history and how envy and jealousy were the root cause for both of those sins.

As a student it's so hard for me to stop jealousy from engulfing me.. academics is the only thing I'm ever jealous about. But insha'Allah I'll try to stop it
Same 😭😔 I'm a student too and I feel super jealous of my friend cuz they have better grades
I also have been experiencing jealousy in terms of academic, and it's the worst feeling ever. I thought I could go through over it and it'll eventually disappear in my heart and mind, but it's coming back and i feel like going crazy. Insha'Allah we can overcome this ugly emotion..🤍
it's so hard to not feel jealous :( I hope Allah protects me from this feeling
The biggest reason for hating others is jealousy...
so true....
Another point to add to this is that we may complain that so and so person has something that we don’t have. However if we objectively assess our situation we will find there are many things that we have that the person we are envying does not have. Take money for example. We may envy the wealthy person but maybe they don’t have a family because they are too busy working, or they don’t have peace because they need security to go everywhere as they can’t just walk down the street freely. So in reality, there is always a balance.
Not true. I'm jealous of someone who has everything better than me. Literally everything.
The only thing to wish for is Does Allah love me! Why should one ever be jealous of others when we Dont even know if they are going to Jannah or not!
However people are tested with different emotions, alhamdolillah I have never felt jealous or understood how people feel jealous. Alhamdolillah it's a big blessing. When I pray I say ya Allah give me and give others more.
Subhan Allah, the mentality 🔥🔥 Allahumma barik
I hope everyone becomes Muslim. Honestly the wisdom god bestows us is jaw dropping.

Amazing speech ! My in laws are jealous of me that I live overseas and have freedom that they never had. Every time I go so much drama, bullying, demanding , nagging happens. I used to wonder why they are so mean to me, but now only after 15 years of marriage I understood that it’s because of jealousy and envy they feel towards me. I used to cry in silence all these years. They call me with all kinds of names on my face. The only reason I tolerated all these nonsense all these years is to keep my marriage so that my child won’t grow up without a father. Please talk more about these topics, I have huge respect for you Nauman Ali Khan. I am not the only one suffering in silence. Millions of us going through the same problem. Please give a speech about women’s rights in Islam. How can we stop this in laws problem? Thanks
May Allah protect us
Ameen
Jazakumulahi khairan 🙏🏻
Mash Allah. May Allah swt bless you, my brother Nouman.
Jazaq Allahukum khairan Shaikh💐💐💐💐💐
Jazakallahu khair shaikh. May Allah azzawajal reward you immensely. I needed to hear this today. Thanks again.
MashaAllah...
Keep it up brother...
SübhanALLAH
I am worst victim of jealousy
Mee too😢
May Allah Make it easy For Us...
I am struggling from this from past 7 years
me too.
The elder generation did not treat us equally at all or give us ounce of respect causing drifts separation hate and jealousy amongst us siblings
Playing us against each other for their own personal greed and benefits
Oppression injustice and cultural interference has caused siblings to break blood ties and hate the parents
It quite sad some cousins parents had to return back to Allah for them to reunite again as siblings
I’m sorry to hear that, Piqueny8872. You’re right. Some of us elders had forgotten to appreciate each child’s special diversities. I recommend, as a mere teacher, that you not let the elders’ attitudes get between you and Merciful Allah who gives all people fair chances, without racial disparities or hierarchical superiority. Subhanallah.
Thank you.
JazakAllah Khair, Imam Nouman. Each lecture reminds me of how to improve myself. May Allah keep blessing you and your esteemed family. (Ameen).
Sura The Heights 7:150, “Make not the enemies rejoice over my misfortune, nor count me amongst the people of sin,” (Ya Allah)…..”Moses prayed, (peace be upon him), “Oh my Lord! Forgive me and my brother(s)! Admit us to your Mercy! For you are the Most Merciful of those who show Mercy.”
Very true as you have really inspired me by you true message . I come from a christian back ground🙏
Dear Monica, Islam stresses the notion that God is able to and forgive all sins, if a person truly repents and then refrains from repeating it. God does not need any blood sacrifice for that, let alone descend in the form of man himself and die for every mans sins. Rather, God‟s mercy extends to all creatures, believers and disbelievers alike. The door to forgiveness is open to anyone who seeks it.
The Islamic view of Jesus lies between two extremes. The Jews, who rejected Jesus as a prophet, called him an imposter, while the Christians, on the other hand, considered him to be the son of God and worship him as such. Islam considers Jesus to be one of the greatest and most forbearing of prophets, in addition to Noah, Abraham, Moses and Muhammad, may God praise them. Jesus is also considered to be the Messiah as well. This is in conformity with the Islamic view of the Oneness of God, the Oneness of Divine guidance, and the complementary role of the subsequent mission of God‟s messengers.
Muslims, like Christians believe that Jesus performed miracles. These miracles were performed by the will and permission of God, Who has power and control over all things.
God sent all prophets with miracles specific to the nation to whom they were sent to prove the veracity of their message. These miracles were not performed of their own accord; rather, they were only manifest in their hands by Gods will. The miracles performed by Jesus were no different. The Jews were well advanced in the field of medicine, and the miracles which Jesus brought were of this nature, proving the truth of His message and in order to convince the Jews.
Like Christians, Muslims believe that Mary was a chaste, virgin woman, who miraculously gave birth to Jesus. Jesus‟ birth in itself was a miracle in that he had no father.
This fact, however, does not necessitate that Jesus is divine in essence or spirit, nor is he worthy of worship, for Adam‟s existence was more miraculous than that of Jesus. If his miraculous birth were a proof that Jesus was God incarnate or His son, then Adam would have more right over this divinity than him. Rather, both are prophets who were inspired with revelation from God Almighty, and both were servants to Him living according to His commandments.
Throughout the Quran, Jesus is identified fundamentally as a prophet of God sent to the Jews who had over time deviated from the teachings of Moses and other messengers.
Jesus Christ, the son of Mary, was the last in the line of Jewish prophets. He lived according to the Torah, the Law of Moses, and taught his followers to do likewise
In the generations after Jesus‟ departure from this world, his teachings were distorted and he was elevated to the status of God. Six centuries later, with the coming of Prophet Muhammad, the truth about Jesus Christ was finally retold and preserved eternally in the last book of divine revelation, the Quran. Furthermore, many of the laws of Moses, which Jesus followed, were revived in their pure and unadulterated form and implemented in the divinely prescribed way of life known as Islam, while many other aspects and injunctions of the laws which had been brought by the earlier prophets were lightened or dropped. Consequently, the reality of the prophets, their uniform message, and the way of life which they followed, can only be found preserved in the religion of Islam, the only religion prescribed by God for man.
Muslims today actually follow Jesus and his true teachings. Their way of life is much more in tune with the way of life Jesus practiced than any of the modern day “Christians.” Love and respect of Jesus Christ is an article of faith in Islam, and God stressed the importance of belief in Jesus in numerous places in the Quran
The message of God to humanity, which is to worship God and God alone and to live according to His instruction, was revealed to Adam (peace be upon him), who passed it on to his children. All the subsequent revelations to Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and, finally, Muhammad are in conformity with that message.
It is the root of all evil. Almost Every sin is linked in some way to jealousy/envy
Here are some ways to earn good deeds after death:
1) Give a copy of the Qur'an to someone. Each time one reads from it you gain.
2) Donate a wheelchair to a hospital. Each time a sick person uses it you gain.
3) Participate in building a masjid.
4) Place a watercooler in a public space.
5) Plant a tree. You gain whenever a person or an animal sits in its shade or eats from it.
6) And the easiest of all, share this message to spread the goodness.
I am in the search of understanding where we get this bad attributes like envy, and similar feelings. I was told that we get some of our good attributes from Allah (cc) and it is just the spec of what the actual attrbute that Allah has toward us like love, patience, mercy etc.
This man is phenomenal in his speech. I am big fan of Dr.Israr Ahmed and after him i admire Brother Nouman Ali khan. He is one of the best Daee of 21st CE.

What about a mother being jealous of her daughter? what does Islam say about this ?
You didn't told the solution for Hasd.
What if someone feels why not me ? However, don't want other person to fail. Does it also count in jealousy?
I dont know if its jealousy or what but if you wish for something that your brother has just ask Allah to grant you and dont say why me also pray for the brother may Allah put barakah in what he has because (the duaa) will protect him from evil eye
If its wrong you will know its wrong, your mind tells you. I think its ok to desire what someone else has, but when you desire that he should not have it, then its a problem.
Can someone explain it to me? Wrong-doer is the victim? So who's the real wrong-doer? I don't get it 😢
If someone sees this it would be good if you leave some advice for me ❤
So a arranged marriage proposal came to us for me, in our country the guy's family comes to see the girl in her home but before that the guy is shown the photo of the girl if it a yes then his family comes along with him to the girls home.
The above happened to me they came and saw me and I think possibly the guy rejected me after seeing. They kept telling our family that my skin color was a little dark compared to the guy bcoz he basically was very attractive and very fair skinned. The rejection hurts me what I didn't understand was if that saw my pic he should've rejected me in the first instance rather coming to my house giving me hope and then rejecting me at the end. It hurts bcz it could've been prevented if the guy just said no that he wanted a good looking girl. Breaking someone's heart I guess people take it very lightly. My heart is troubled by all of this thinking about what he has done to me.
The rejection from that guy may be a little hardship that you could face before getting into a beautiful blessed life..Indeed Allah SWT is aware of everything...The current situation might be a part of ur test from Allah SWT because something good is awaiting for you
Thank Allah SWT the light of goodness has been shown to you before you committed yourself into a marriage.
Believe me young sister this is a blessing for you. Imagine being in a marriage when you always a rejection or second best. The hell you would have gone through.
