    Wish they would give a general rule of thumb or idea of how often to change the filters (ballpark idea)

    I can always smell the paint to some degree through these despite doing everything and fannying around in a mirror trying to get it all snug

    How often do the filters need to be replaced?

    • @axminster
      @axminster  Před 3 lety

      Hi reemzaleemz, there are many variables that can affect how long the filters last. Because of this, we can't provide a definite answer.

    Where can I find the NIOSH approval number on the mask?

      @gbwildlifeuk8269 Před 2 lety +1

      NIOSH is the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health which is the United States federal agency responsible for conducting research and making recommendations for the prevention of work-related injury and illness.
      Axminster is a UK company.
      Why would you expect a UK company to comply with a US agency in regards to a product they sell?
      If purchased through a US company for use in the US, you may have a point. If in the UK you need the HSE, (Health and Safety Executive).
      This mask however complies with BS, (British Standards) EN 143.
      This standard BS EN 143:2021 is Respiratory protective devices. Particle filters. Requirements, testing, marking is classified in these ICS categories: 13.340.30 Respiratory protective devices.
      So in UK all is good and NIOSH wont apply. In the US you need to determine!
      That said if you dont wear it correctly - nothing applies!

    How long can i use this ??

    • @axminster
      @axminster  Před 9 měsíci

      Hi there, JSP Force 8 respirators are reusable; they can be easily stripped, cleaned, maintained and reused for an indefinite period of time. Replacement filters whilst not indefinite, last far longer than single use disposable respirators. JSP recommend 1-3 days for high use, 3-5 days for medium use and 28 days maximum for light use.
