Although I am 66 years old now , but still I fondly reminisced my early teens as this was the song I used to hum quite often .
More than 50 years are gone, I was a poor starving student in Karachi University, the ones who were affluent would be either singing or playing Talat and no one else. Rafi and Lata were played in crowded tea shops. Today's generation may not understand our infatuation with these gods and goddesses who are the only immortals in Bombay (I refuse to accept the new parody). Here a Daasi is paying a tribute to a god of a bygone era. Simply mesmerizing, BEAUTIFUL.

At that time I was also a student living in South Africa. We did not have music player but we had a movie theater (Rani Theater) where we saw Bollywood and Hollywood movies. Now I live in California and still enjoy these classic oldies on CZcams and CDs. So glad that younger singers like Sniti Mishra sing these songs so beautifully with so much feeling.

disappointed people. I have always enjoyed the way she handles a song with correct pronunciation and pitch and a strong melodious back bone of a music line that holds the song together !! I forgot to mention her unique Grace in her graceful voice and expressions, unoffending, unobtrusive, and enhancing the self respect of the listeners. The optics of the V/Clip are simply out of the world, touching my heart and soul, the pitch dark back ground with light shining on her beautiful eyes, subtle smile and face, unique texture of her voice and slight wind blowing her hair, her confidence, has taken away my breadth. I have watched this number several times since yesterday. The poetry, the emotion and slower than original pace of rendition did transport me into a world where is no deception and selfish motives. Congrats to the Creators of the Concept of this clip. The close shots of the emotions in her eyes and face as she sings with nothing else in the background, does bring the focus on poetry and music. I have been fascinated by Talat Mehmood Saheb's songs since I was 9 years old. I remember singing particularly this song at a lower chord than most girls do just to be able to do justice to this song. Sniti has definitely revived the era of these beautiful gems.
Ironically she sings mostly Male singers' songs, and still we r mesmerised by her melody. So cool she is in her expression. Very relaxing before sleep time.
My parents named me after this movie😍 I was too small to know the song or understand the language .when I grew up and learned hindi I heard the song and felt as if it was made for me to be loved for ever and ever .
1982 Talat Sahib went for a concert in Chandigarh and I couldn't have wished for anything more .I heard him singing live !
Though there aren't many songs sung by him but he's stolen my heart from the very first day I heard this song .I simply adore his singing ..it has such a depth, sesuality and just steals ur heart at once .This recreation has been sung very well too..
