I started making the bouquet and it is BEAUTIFUL. I just have to finish the underneath and the handle. So excited! I wish I could send you a picture!
Thanks for all your video help.
Please do send me a picture. You can find my email on my website's "contact" page - DomesticatedMe [dot] com
Thank you for the tutorial. Just wanted to share that I was making brooch flowers yesterday and my future father in law had a great idea. He used his drill without a bit and ran the wire through two parts of it and used that to twist the wires. The wires came out with the most perfect twist to them and saved my fingers from being sore. It was much faster and took less than one minute per brooch flower. Thought I would share and save some time for other brides making a brooch bouquet!
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I made my bouquet for my wedding in August and I am so excited it turned out beautiful. Thank you thank you thank you because I certainly could not afford the ones that are being sold for 600.00. I even added brooches to my bridesmaids bouquets just not as much as mine of course. Once again thank you so much Jessica. God bless you
Well, now I feel the need to unnecessarily buy brooches and keep them on hand. I've never heard of these, but LOVE them!! Thanks!!
Worked like a charm!! Getting hitched in exactly 6 days and I made my own custom bouquet for about $125 v $450 on Etsy. Thx!
i sat last night and in a few minutes made one of the "brooch flowers" using a brooch I purchased at the thrift store and floral wire from the dollar store. Super easy and and your bouquet came out looking just as pretty, if not prettier than the ones using the foam ball...way more realistic! Thank you again for sharing!!!
That's great! Thank you so much for watching, participating and taking the time to leave me your positive comment. It means the world to me. Stay safe!
I was feeling horrible about the amount of money I was spending on a natural bouquet.. ($225) just for my bouquet, which will die the next day. You motivated me to do something that will last for years. I bought a mixture of pendents and brooches. I've only started stringing the brooches and it's looking gorgeous. My bouquet will be a little under $75 when I'm done. Thinking about doing smaller versions for my bridesmaids. $600 bouquet for under $75. Thank You Jessica, from a bride on a budget
Omg you just saved me from paying like $300.00 on a brooch bouquet for my wedding. .. on etsy....my mom has a bunch of antique brooches that I was going to try and put on my dress somewhere but i wasent sure about it...but this is a much better idea ...you made my day ...thank you so much
Victoria Schuelke That makes me really happy to hear, Victoria! Please send me the photo of your finished bouquet so that I can feature it on my website. Thanks for watching!
Thank you soooooo much for this tutorial. I wanted a brooch bouquet badly, but didn't want to spend $650 dollars on the one I love on Etsy. My daughter GOD mother makes bouquet all the time but never made a brooch one. I showed her your tutorial and shes very excited to make this for me for my March 2014 wedding in Cancun Mexico. I will post a pic of the finish product.
Thank you for this simple beautiful brooch bouquet. When you are on a budget and can't afford those high price bouquets this will definitely take center stage too.
That's so pretty! I never would've given a brooch a second glance until I saw this video.
Omg thank you so much I was just about to buy a 375 dollar one but then my fiancé suggested to do my own so I came to CZcams and found this video thank you sooooooo much
.ive been collecting brooches for 2 years for my daughters bouquet I wish I had looked you up long ago. Awesome video
I'm getting married in December and was having some difficulty in deciding what type of bouquet to get. Your tutorial inspired the brooch bouquet and consequently I'm doing one like this to throw for the single ladies and a more elaborate one for my bouquet. Thank you for inspiration.
Awesome ideas, you have helped me get for my wedding bouquets. Now I know I can do it myself. Thanks
You could also request family and friends to bring a brooch to the bridal shower, antique would be lovely, ....
that is an excellent idea Carol. As a ''crafter/creator'' myself I collect vintage jewelry of any kinds, so I just want to commend you on such a 'thoughtful' way to get in on that, ''something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue'' I collect vintage earring (sets) and sew them onto ''crocheted barefoot sandals'', they are just beautiful especially for a beach wedding, which is very popular! I live right on the Pacific Coast in Brookings Oregon. I've even sold my barefoot sandals right off my feet in Fred Meyers while shopping. You can see my work on my FACEBOOK page, Ruby Jean Roberts, send me a 'friend request' if you'd like more into on the barefoot sandals. My work is called, ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL THING by Ruby. Once again, great idea!
Thanks for posting this helpful video. I love your advice and technique for wiring the brooches. That makes sense to use more wire and to wire both ends of the brooch to give it stability. (I'd prefer creating an entire bouquet with brooches, though, instead of using fake flowers, but I know that will definitely drive up the price). Great job explaining all this!
Goggles for cutting wire! I’m sure there are probably 100 people who have already commented 😂. Good video for 10 years ago and very cool idea❤🎉!
It actually hasn’t come up before! Thanks so much for the tip, watching and taking the time to comment. I hope you have a great weekend!

Very well done. I hadn't thought to wire two sides of the brooch. A good idea when I will be using brooches from my Grandmother and her sisters. I subscribed because your tutorial was great. A slow start but you took the time to do it right.

the most helpful tutorial I have found yet
You are so good at this. Thank you.
You’re so sweet. Thanks so much!
you really are a mean person!!! This video is great! Well done Jess
BEAUTIFUL! What a GREAT idea! A little FYI trick I use when twisting wire to make jewelry.... insert your wire ends straight into the center hole of a cheap small drill. Then tighten down on the wires at the clamp base. Make sure the wires are TIGHTLY in there. Now hold the wires securely @ the other end (@ the brooch) & squeeze the drill "trigger". The drill will TWIST the wire FOR YOU! Now, NO more twisting for you. Save your wrist strength, time, & the twists are all neatly done! Good Luck!
Thanks for the tip, AmyLee!

OMG THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!! I'm having an August 2013 wedding and of course I can not afford $500 for ONE bouquet!! I even looked on EBAY thinking I might purchase a used one with no luck! You have NO idea how disappointed I was (which is such a sucky feeling when wedding planning)!! I'm going to start collecting brooches and make one of my own. I just added you on FB and officially suscribed fo quick references...lol!! I just pray mine turns out just as well!! You're the best!
add bling to the wrapped stem also, AMAZING vid and I love your Bouquet!
Great tips on where to find inexpensive brooches and using regular wire instead of the floral wire. I have been wanting to make my own since I saw one in a craft store for $500.00 or Etsy for $300.00. Will keep an eye on your other videos and website. Thank you!!

Great idea!
you can open the pin and twist the wire around and close the pin, use white tape to wrap around the silver wire, looks neater clean, and just lush.
Thank you so much for this highly informative and budget - friendly video! Like those who saw the crazy prices on Esty, I am now going to be able to make a beautiful and personal bouquet for a fraction of the price!
