5 warning signs you may not be an entrepreneur
1. Don't start a business if you don't have money take care of your cash flow before a business.
2. Don't start a business if you don't know the industry, why you, why now, what qualifies you to be there. So learn the industry to know what day today of the industry is
3. Don't start an industry, if you don't have the stamina , you must know how to endure pain for a long time, you have to endure pain for a long period of time, people always talk of the glamor not the dark side.
4. Don't start a business if you want time or freedom. You work your ass out, and pay others before urself. Sacrifice and more sacrifice.
5. If you don't have the abilities on closing a business deal, don't start a business .

So true Dan. Knowing the business industry is essential, since not all businesses generates more money, compared to having a stable job in a reputable company.
There is no 9-5 for entrepreneurs.
It's always 24 hours work everyday 😅
It's true
Used to work 7 days a week myself..but Im used to it since 4 years ago as an employee. Been a year and 4 months into my business and im staring to work less and have 5 1/2 days off! Also I stopped working for free if you have seen Dan's other video where he describes of having cheap prices and low profits. Lost 4 customers in 2 months because I Raised my prices but guess what! Im working less making the same and having more time to actually get another skill on board to Incorporate with my small business. Im not trying to get rich!!! I just want to make 20k a month. 👍 keep pushing forward, also surround yourself with people with the same drive, business wise.
Someone said to me, that he doing business so easy and smart. Im still not believe it... 10 years doing educational consultant till now.
Keep in mind that, like most small businesses, you are not likely to get rich from running a vending machine business. But being your own boss and calling the shots are rewarding in themselves. And if you get enough locations going, vending machines can generate a steady income for you.

I'm a freelance makeup artist. And I have this huge vision for my future, that I want it so bad.. right now I've created mini list that I have to achieve every several months. The simplest example might be, how to make people discover me, what I need to make them stick with me, when should I started create a studio, how could I promote my academy.. and the list just start to grow even bigger.. how could I do collab with this small brand, and I have to get a brand deals in this year.. how to get bigger clients like weddings instead of simple prom makeup.. I'm also recently expanding my team, and have two of my friends working together with me.. But I really get the point of this video.. the ousider looking at me like I made it so easy, that because of my parent support, I managed to have money to started business. that because of my parent's money, I managed to learned with top makeup artist. Because its so easy it looks like I dont have responsibilities like, "how lucky you're not married yet, how lucky you haven't got kid, how lucky you still living with your parents". I have a business I have been running for 9 years and I don't need a dime to make money now that I have a solid reputation. Thanks to Dan Loc, I have been able to polish my skills enough to where I can control the type of clients I deal with and I pick and choose my customers. Now my customers are as high quality as my products and services! My coworker had a seizure and all of my customers were there for us like family, bringing us food, doing a gofundme so we could buy her medical equipment and we didn't even ask for anything, I feel like the luckiest person in the world to have these kinds of clients. They do more for me than my own family. Also thanks to Dan's advice, I started a Mentoring program where I empower my clients with the skills they need to actively participate in helping each other so my program essentially runs itself. When I first started my business from home 9 years ago, neighbors would complain about the traffic I was bringing in lol They would call the City or Police to complain and whenever any of these public service workers would show up, they would leave as customers. Life as an Entrepreneur has just been amazing for me and although my father has passed, he would be proud of me. He taught me how to be a business owner and be successful so I have never had to apply for a job in my life thanks to the skills he taught me.

I totally agree with you. I’m also an entrepreneur and it wasn’t easy in the beginning. Still now easy because I work 7 days a week most of the time.
People start businesses for the wrong reasons. I've heard of people starting business so they can "have more time".. It's the opposite. The amount of time it takes to grow a business is absurd and you have to be patient! Great video Dan!
I'm 16 years old and watched this video I love it. I'm saving money to start a business in film industry and I need inspiring words again.
I am there right now and you are Absolutely right... I can't watch Netflix as I did before because of this.. Thinking about getting more customers is just eating me day by day.
wait, wait, wait, this video was the hardest slap that I have ever gotten! I am working on a business, a student, and a part-time teacher. I followed the gurus who said you can start with no money. Now, I am literally lost and have more than 1000 dollars debt. I need to take a looooong break . I learned this lesson the hardest way possible :(((
Dan, this video is very timely and truthful. I've been on both sides; 9-5 and the 24/7 Entrepreneur. The first time I went into business 24/7 and I HAD MONEY, and lost it all! Lots of things to learn that I didn't know. Now, I work for myself with a different structure that helps me learn more as I continue to develop my online business. Meaning, I have a steady income while I'm continuing to build. The hard work, stamina is current. I work 7 days a week but 3 of those days are more flexible, but's it still takes drive and lots of work. To carve time for self-care is important and I do, but not as much as I would like to. I've worked hard for 10 years and I've accomplished a lot, however, not without a lot of tears and character building lessons (I was crying & whining two days ago...LOL!). Lot's of sacrifices and things and experiences I had to live without. Dan's right about the Big Shots we see on social media. You know the ones; they show off the cars and lifestyle. They do this to get you to buy their programs, but they work 24/7 and they don't tell you that. It's okay to have an amazing lifestyle and to show it off, but NOT if you're not going to leave out THE TRUTH about the hard work. My personality is one of hard work so I don't mind, but it's not what people think. Yet, the perks are amazing when you think about it. There are positives and those positives are what drive entrepreneurs to excel. Thank you, Dan, for all you do, the information you share, the wisdom you give. I love your teachings, I'm subscribed and I "listen" to your videos when I'm driving between appointments. Thank you, Dan. - with Gratitude.

Pain is my biggest issue i wont lie there was time i wanted to quit and just work a 9-5 job but i kept telling myself it will get better and here i am still learning still working on my success im willing to suffer until i make it!
