I arrive late to those reactions, because I discovered Dimash by accident 3 months ago. I admire him. At the beginning I said, like many others, that he was an alien or not human. But, actually he is a human being with tons of talent, a humongous discipline, and a whole life living for the music. Also the result of a “perfect storm”, but still human. Yes Gakku festival had 150000 in the audience that night.. There are about 5 versions of this song by Dimash.. Maybe watch the I am Singer 2017 where vhe was ill and much younger, totally different performance, much gentler. There's also a version at Bastau concert, very dramatic, and one at a Miss World contest! The song is about Dimashs first love he wrote when he was 18 or so. Dimash's stage presence is so powerful even with this gentle love song. Try Give Me Love both from I am Singer 2017, and Bastau, incredibly beautiful song, such atmosphere. That little motion that he did with his hands near the end, was to tell the orchestra to skip to the end. He sometimes does a longer version of this song, but after unintentionally hitting that D8 (he usually goes for F#7 or G7), I suppose he figured it was time to let his voice rest. Kudos to him. Highest ever note in a live performance by... anyone. Ever.
All I know is the kettle is telling me the tea is done.
He wrote that when he was 19 years old. The note he hits is a D8. It's off the end of a piano. More of a frequency than a note.

One of the reason why i love watching dimash, as he way of presenting the song is how a storyteller tell a story, n i dont just mean just his voice/notes... The note was a D8, one full tone higher than the highest note on a standard piano. It's called a whistle tone, which I've learned from watching Dimash reactions for the past few years. There are other people who can produce a D8 as a sound, but I don't know of any other who can sustain it in key, with vibrato, in an actual song. He doesn't always use a D8 right there -- it's usually a lower note, if I understand things correctly -- which is what makes this particular performance so incredibly stunning and valuable. I love watching your reactions, the joy you express watching Dimash is just a joy to watch.
Please have a look at Dimash doing Confessa & the Diva dance 2 songs 1 episode from the I am A Singer show. Then maybe have a listen to his Music Video Screaming (also a live version worth checking out maybe do the in a double video ;-) the live version is very different to teh Music Video but has a special something extra.
People say his Bastau concert version of Diva Dance is better (prob true) but then you miss on Confessa which is really good to.
And 1 final suggestion, Ogni Pietra (Olympico) which is kind of his magnus opus, written especially for him. There is unlikely to be a singer on the planet capable of doing it justice - other than Dimash!
