JIM !!! I could not agree more. The entire reason most of us became collectors or stayed collectors is the sentimental part of it. So many cards in my collection that will go with me to my grave :)

Hey Dylan, one of my favorite videos of yours. I love when you talk about cards and other items that have special meaning. The first Starting Lineup figure I bought in 1988 was Wally Joyner.

Awesome stuff. For me, this speaks the hobby more than anything else. As collectors, the hobby and sports marks the times of our lives.

What a great video, Dylan! It was fun listening to your stories about your experiences, and how you can relate each card to a particular person or event. I remember the Big A and was always fascinated by the Halo. The Cowan card was a classic! You have his last playing days card. He retired during the 1972 season after pinch hitting/utility player for the Angels for three seasons.

Dan you came up with a great VR I was so excited to do this one. My wife popped in on me during the second half so I need to edit that part out. Thats why its still not out yet ha ha ha ha. I need to take 30 minutes and do it.
Haha I watched the videos backwards! So now I see that awesome backdrop again of young DoubleD in Little League. Man, I love all the stories of your experiences as an Angels fan. The fact you went to a game the day you proposed tells you all you need to know about how much you love baseball 🙌❤️ The gifts from the guys in the community are so awesome. Extra special cards knowing how they ended up with you. I wish there was a part 3 to this series lol I could watch all night long. Best binge watching night I’ve had in a while 💥🔥

Man this was a blast to listen to! I love seeing the Wally Joyner buyback, and how cool to hear that Bruce influenced you to buy a card. That ‘72 Ryan is a favorite of mine too, that card is 🔥 The Cowan card is so epic, never gets old. So awesome, can’t wait for part 2! 🤙🏻🤙🏻

I was getting hurt as well and I tell a story to friends that I had to stop because trying to catch a ball in the outfield especially when I had to hustle to even have a chance at it became difficult. I was now wearing glasses, when I finally caught up with the ball, I wasn't sure which of the ball images I was suppose to catch. My glasses bunching on my face helped create multiple baseballs.😁. Have a good day. I check your eBay listings every now and again hoping to find a vintage I can add to my collection. I'm not up on the whatnot bidding as I don't have a cell phone. Old school guy here. Ha! Ha!

Those 72’s are beautiful, I always thought it was strange that they don’t have the players position on the front of the card. First set I ever remember that being the case, thanks for sharing Dylan!
Dude when I first got on youtube I mentioned that !! its the only topps set that does not list the position. When I said it no ones mind was blown ha ha ha ha. I thought it was the coolest thing I had ever noticed while staring at my displays. Love that you mentioned this to me !!!

HA HA HA. Actually what is funny my all time favorite players as a kid was Cal Ripken Jr. as soon as I go into my storage and break out all my old cards I have a Hobby report that I cannot wait to share and I cant wait to read it myself from back in 5th grade.

Nice video Dylan. As a long time resident of So. Cal. I enjoy when places such as Huntington, the other beaches are mentioned. Did you ever get down to Crescent Bay in Laguna? No surfing there but great waves for body surfing.
This video brought to mind the comparisons between the Dodgers and the Angels. Between the two teams I favor the Dodgers. Nothing against the Angels. In other words I do not dislike the Angels history or organization. I've got good memories of times in Anaheim and also times at their former Spring Training site in Palm Springs. (I will have to do a video or two about those times in the Springs).
The funny thing is that having been around and known many, many Dodger fans I usually do not hear any disparaging remarks from them about the Angels. But almost every Angel fan I have ever known has a dislike, bordering on hatred, for the L.A. Dodgers. And I don't think this is just another Orange County thing.
I have a few ideas of why it is this way.
What is your take on this?
Looking forward to hearing who your second favorite team is. I'll take a wild guess and say it is the Braves.
First off I feel exactly the same way if someone ever mentions HB my ears perk up HA HA. My personal reason I did not like the dodgers growing up was because I absolutely cant stand being in LA. I avoided going to LA at all costs. If I ever had to go to LA for the day I would dread it and it always felt like I was a million miles from home. Growing up going on field trips to LA was probably the only time I ever enjoyed it. To me thats literally the only reason I never liked the dodgers growing up. As for my collection I freaking love the dodgers ha ha ha. Since I know longer live in CA my tune has changed and I can root for the dodgers now ha ha. Thank you for the great comment and ?
