Forgot to add, about the lint, if you place an old sock at the end of the drain tube, fix it with an elastic band, you'll get all the lint off your drainage whole.

Another thing to mention is that some people are not blessed with a perfect neighborhood. By buying a portable washer reduces on the risk of something bad happening at the laundromat (I was almost kidnapped at one once). Its also less money as I get free water, trash, and heating.

I lived in apartment in CA with NO laundry hook ups, with a baby, and coin operated laundry...I ended up find out about the portable washers and it was a game-changer. I also used the drying rack and it was AWESOME. Put the kid down for a nap, do a small load, put them clothes on the drying rack...dry in a few hours. Brilliant. Through the years as a military person, I have lived in various housing that had no hook-ups and that portable washer moved with me like a faithful companion. I, too, found it at a Goodwill close to base. I now live in a house and the kid is grown, but if my washer ever went out and I did not have the funds to fix or replace it, I would grab a portable one of these again in a heartbeat. Thanks for helping spread some good feels to those who may benefit from it. Peace & cheers.

The added benefit of using that drying rack, instead of a dryer, it that hanging clothes out to dry is better for the fabric and elastic and your clothes, blankets, and bed sheets last longer. Not to mention you save on electricity. When I buy a house, I'm puting up a clothes line and only using the dryer for emergencies!

I bought one of these based on all the reviews on CZcams. I got it from Google Express for about 80 bucks, and that includes shipping. My regular washer died and I couldn't afford to replace it. Apparently, the laundromat washers didn't clean my clothes at all. My little machine gets everything so clean. I will never worry about buying a full sized one again. @@christinasalazar6962, my biggest blanket is 99 inches by 60 inches, it fits to wash, but it is too big to spin. Most of my blankets are throws, 50 inches by 60 inches. I live in a warm place with almost no winter. The throws wash and spin 2 at a time.
      My sheets are queen.
My husband, being male, is a big person, over 6 feet tall. I can do maybe 1 pair of his jeans, maybe 2 t shirts and a few socks. I can wash almost triple of my clothes, since they are pretty small. I can easily do 3 or 4 outfits and a few other things.

I had the opposite experience once. I put my laundry in the dryer, went upstairs to my apartment, and when I came back, someone had added jackets and blankets in with my laundry to get it dried for free! My laundry didn't dry because of all the extra crap (theirs did because of the material it was made of) and I had to pay TWICE to dry my clothes so they could get theirs done for free! Pet Baby Crochet I absolutely HATED when people would leave their clothes in the washer or in the dryer and I’d come back downstairs with all my stuff almost every hour hoping they took their stuff so I could use a machine. NOPE. Not even when I check the next morning. So annoying. Then at a family members house they never cleaned their front load washer properly and all my clothes would smell moldy. There was no winning in that situation. Now the apartment I live in the landlord said there’s a hookup but won’t let us buy a washer and dryer because water is expensive (we don’t pay water at this current apartment). I fully convinced my husband to order a portable washer and it’s coming in a few days 🙏🏽 I can’t wait. I’m tired of hand washing clothes

I bought the Della because if you. I used the Della for almost 2 years. My apartment had a washer dryer hookup yet I was a poor full time student. Now that I’ve been making more money, I tried to stay using my Della but then corona virus happened and I was terrified to take my queen size comforter to the laundry Mat, which I had been doing since the Della isn’t large enough. Now that I’m back to the front load washer I do feel the Della was a lot of work. Lol. But defiantly worth the money and beats the laundry mat. However, I haven’t bought a dryer because air drying my clothes has allowed them to last much longer. It’s amazing how damaging the heat from the dryer is, even to quality, expensive clothing.

Thanks for the 1 year review. Often times someone uses something, shows it but then you never find out how durable it is. An idea (which I do) is have a tension shower curtain rod in the shower above the unit (close to ceiling) to hang your cloths on hangers... I then have a fan in the bathroom that I run and it doesn't take too long for the cloths to dry...

They said before they came they thought we were all rich and lived in mansions with swimming pools in our backyard. Then when they got here they realized that we were actually struggling to get by, pay bills, and live from one paycheck to the next. I lived in a rural town of about 2000 people, with cows, chickens and goats. We were about the least fancy people. Some of us didn't even own a car. We certainly didn't all own washer and dryers.

I don't get how someone could leave negative comments about a portable washing machine. If you used to use one in your country or you have a full size washer and dryer, kudos to you. Keep it moving and don't leave negative comments for a complete stranger. What is wrong with people?? Anyway, this review was super helpful to me. My building has coin-op laundry but half the machines are broken so I decided to get a portable washer after coming across this review. So far so good, the only thing is that the machine started draining as I was filling up and I still haven't figured out why. But honestly, this already beats shlepping my clothes to the building laundry room. Thank you!

Many years ago I bought a portable washer, I think it was a Sanyo. In was cheap and plastic and I remember thinking if I got a year out of it that would be great. I loved it and used it in my apartment for two years and when I bought a house gave it to my mom. She used it as her only washing machine for the next 22 years. Not only did it last 24 years but during that time it didn’t need a single repair.

One thing to be careful when you air dry in your house. Mold. So, get a dehumidifier or even... there are these really cool electric clothes dryers that fold away.

ChakraW ...I dry my laundry by hanging it on my shower rod if it rains and I can’t hang outside ... no mold .. my big washer broke and I am having to improvise doing what I can by hand until I can get one of these or fix the big one .. with limited budget you do what you have to . I have been doing this for a while and have no mold problem at all . Most bathrooms have an exhaust fan so she shouldn’t have to worry about mold . Or she can open her window . Bathrooms are made to handle lots of moisture anyway ..

Your video also helped me decide to purchase a portable washer. I got the Costway one, though, but it seems like these all pretty much work the same. I moved into my first apartment, and this is the first time I have lived without my own washer and dryer. Going to the laundromat was a pain in the butt, and not to mention money. I see this thing is quickly paying for itself. It also made sense for me to purchase it because I don't pay for water at this apartment, so why not?!
Thank you so much for this video! I was worried this was going to be some cheap gimmicky thing that didn't work, but after a few uses, I'm really happy! I miss having a dryer, though, but you get over it pretty fast with how convenient this is.

Although we have two fully automatic washing machines in our laundry room, family members are always using it so I put the semiautomatic in my large bathroom and they are very good as first you can control the amount of water used for each wash, they have a gentle and heavy wash cycle and very reliable. I have had mine for several years and service for this machine is always available if needed but it’s been good.
I don’t pour water in the spinner but empty wash water and refill to rinse. Two pieces of advice to give, don’t splash water on the knobs, and just switch off from wall when you transfer clothes to Spinner just to be safe really like with any machine- certainly worth buying! I love mine !
Oh , just wanted to add, lint comes mainly from socks and towels- wash socks and towels separately and see the difference!

I live in a two family apartment and the washer/dryer is in the basement. The neighbors get the house washer/dryer because they lived here first and pay extra for it. So I just bought this. I tried putting it in my bathroom but it’s not big enough and the hose is on the opposite side. I tried to put it in the tub but it couldn’t fit. Then I thought of putting it in the kitchen but I live with many people and someone is always in the kitchen and it’s already packed with a stove, deep freezer and a pretty big fridge. Finally I put it in my room on a night stand my mom got from the crub. I put the hose in one of those large tide containers and add water with a bowl that holds a gallon of water. It usually takes me 4- trips to fill it. After it drains into the bucket (I wrapped a exfoliating cloth on the hose to catch the extra lint) I pick up the bucket and empty it in the kitchen sink ( my room it literally connected to the kitchen, it use to be the dining room but I bought folding doors and turned it into a bedroom). It’s just 5 steps away. When I bought the washer it didn’t even occur to me that I’d be using extra water but now I’m overly aware of it. I don’t pay water but I like being considerate toward my landlord, this is my first week with the machine so I guess we’ll see how that goes. The lint thing is really the only thing that makes mad, I have a cat and a dog so I didn’t realize how much hair and lint the machine at the laundromat was getting rid of. I looked up the product she was talking about for lint but the reviews are mostly negative. They sell it on wish for maybe $2 but Amazon sell it for like $14 bucks and I’m not spending that for a product that probably won’t work. What I plan on doing is buying a reusable lint brush and just brushing my cloths before and after even though it’ll take time

For a family of 6 its the best gift i ever received. I wash all types of clothes in my kupet like, shower curtain, house curtains, bath rugs, jeans, kitchen towels, tabel cloth high chair cover, even small stuffed animals for my kids. Yes its a little tidious to manually full, drain, but it beats lugging my laundry and 4 kids back n forth to the laundrymat 3xs week.

As an additional safety feature add a rubber tall matt on a wooden board which are both insulators you can also use electrical; tape to reduce water into the electrical connector and it also stops it parting and dropping to the floor causing further incidents. Great Vid and we use those balls too, great gadget.

Just an FYI...you can also purchase a separate spin dryer from amazon. I bought the Nina Soft spin dryer. The main reason why because I own a portable washer without the spin dryer being attached. After watching so many reviews I notice some people complained about the spin dryer not working properly with this washer and others. The Nina Soft gets your clothes super dry. At one point and time I was hand wringing my clothes which is a pain to do. There are tons of reviews on the Nina Soft spin dryer. It was about $130 when I purchased it. So if your spinner goes out or you need to spin dry heavier items this spin dryer is amazing. I haven't used my washer in over a while but its a great option when I need to wash. Its cheaper and I love doing laundry at home.

I have the same situation where my apt has machines but the dryers dont work very well and its a big hike for me. I wanted and in home solution! what i did is switched to castile soap so i can manage it with my bare hands. I wash in one side of my kitchen sink, rinse in the other, and use a salad spinner to pull most of the water out then blot the items on a dry towel and hang with a fan blowing. As you mention in the video its a pain compared to traditional washer and tumble dryer and its limited in what it can do...but it really is easier than lugging laundry out of your home. My method is kinda pieced together but stores easily, was cheap, and the only electric item is the fan which is kept well away from water. I still take sheets and towels, jeans and hoodies to wash but most of my clothes are lightweight knits, that is tee-shirt material, and i can wash them in the apartment which cuts my hike by over half. I havent tried sheets because i dont think i can get a sheet in a salad spinner. But if you have a bedwetter in a twin size this might be worth a try.

I do find it to be a bit tedious but still worth it. I’m sure it has paid for its self by now. I’ve had it almost a year. Doing smaller loads keeps everything cleaner too. When using the big coin washer it’s tempting to put everything together since it costs.
