That is perfectly true. Even if i prefer the older ones, the new ones are still great (80% and more). But the 99%ers like Sin City, Ride on, Let there be rock, Whole lotta Rosie, The Jack all are from their time BEFORE 1980. Why? because Bon Scott died in february 1980. The band never recovered from this loss - but wait, they made some album called "Back in Black", it was some mediocre succsess - nah, just kidding,. Second most sold album of all time, with the new lead singer - Brian. It is so unfair and i am ashamed, but still. ACDC before and after Bons death is complete different. Bon was THE animal, i bet if he would live today, he would be greater as Freddie.
Agreed! I saw them in concert in 2008 and Angus gave us a 20 min guitar solo. I only know how long, cause I had just happened to look at my watch before he started, curious of the time. After he was finished, I had to look at my watch because I needed to know how long he did that. He didn't stop moving up and down the stage the entire time. He is a legend!
Welcome to AC/DC, the greatest pure rock and roll band of all time. They are currently touring Europe (2024) and selling out 100,000 seat stadiums. And that's with the lead singer being over 70.
You need to add - they sell em out in under 10 minutes, each concert. They could sell out dozens and dozens of concerts MORE in the same time. For munich (2 concerts) they could have sold 1 million spots.
@@steffenjonda8283 Well, thank you for adding good that. Believe me, I know they could be playing in front of more people each time, if it was possible. It is utterly amazing. Especially if you look at the demographic for who's going to the shows. It's genuinely crossing every generation when you look at those audiences.
Brian Johnson is the lead singer of AC/DC... he joined the band in 1980 and his vocal style was inspired by the original rock n' roll king - Mr. Little Richard... Angus Young (lead guitar) was the showman (and mascot) of AC/DC - he dressed in a schoolboy uniform (suit, tie and shorts) and would run around the stage in a "Chuck Berry duckwalk" as seen in this music video ... He and his (late) brother Malcolm Young (rhythm guitar) formed AC/DC in Australia in 1973 after they both quit high school to play rock music. For the most part, AC/DC has not changed their sound from a basic hard rock sound that they had started w/ on their first records back in 1975 - guitars/ bass/ drums & vocals w/ no beats, electronic samples or keyboards... Their lyrics are the usual romp of sex, booze, partying and rock n' roll for the most part... Malcolm Young said that they just wanted to be "a good, tough rock n' roll band". Formed in Australia, Angus and Malcolm Young were Scottish immigrants who loved 50's and 60's rock n' roll music... Their brother George Young played guitar in a famous 60's beat combo band called The Easybeats - George and his former bandmate Harry Vanda would produce AC/DC's early records from 1975 to '78... and again in 1986/ '87. Still living w/ their parents in 1973, Angus and Malcolm Young formed the band and their sister Margaret suggested the name AC/DC from the label of her sowing machine... Margaret also suggested that Angus Young should wear a schoolboy outfit onstage because he was so short (5' 3") and looked striking going crazy w/ his guitar; She sowed up his first school suits for the stage. AC/DC began playing local gigs w/ singer Dave Evans and various bassists & drummers... but it was their introduction to another Scottish immigrant Bon Scott that gave the band a new sound when he joined AC/DC in 1974 as the lead singer... Bon Scott was older than the brothers and had been singing professionally since the late 60's... his offstage antics included booze, women and drugs but audiences loved the singer... AC/DC released 2 albums in Australia before being signed internationally in 1976 w/ the album 'High voltage' being released w/ songs from their first 2 albums and Phil Rudd (drums) had joined the band... AC/DC began touring the UK actively, then Europe... and finally North America in 1977 as their 4th album 'Let there be rock' began to gain sales and Cliff Williams (bass) became a band member ... It wasn't until their 6th album 'Highway to Hell' in 1979 when AC/DC finally has a gold record in the US (half million copies sold) and a growing fanbase worldwide. Sadly, tragedy struck in early 1980 when AC/DC singer Bon Scott died unexpectedly - he had passed out in a friend's car after a night of heavy drinking and asphyxiated on his own vomit. A devastated AC/DC were encouraged by Bon Scott's parents to carry on the band... So, they sought a new singer and picked British singer Brian Johnson, who had his band Geordie in the 70's... and Johnson had apparently met Bon Scott back in 1972 when their bands toured together. Brian Johnson recorded the 1980 album 'Back in Black' which AC/DC dedicated to Bon Scott... it sold incredibly well, moving over 10 million copies in the US alone in 1 yr and made AC/DC a major rock band... To date, 'Back in Black' is one of the top 5 best-selling records of all time at 25 million copies sold in the US alone. Subsequent AC/DC albums were not as successful, but the band kept recording and touring successfully... In 1990, the band scored a huge hit single "Thunderstruck" from their album "The Razor's Edge" (recorded w/ drummer Chris Slade) and AC/DC became one of the biggest bands in the world... Their catalog sales from first album 'High voltage' in 1976 to 'Black ice' in 2008 have all sold platinum plus in the US (over 1 million copies) In 2013, guitarist Malcolm Young announced his retirement from a dementia diagnosis and he passed away in 2017 (Their nephew Stevei Young replaced him on rhythm guitar)... drummer Phil Rudd (who rejoined AC/DC in 1995) was arrested in 2014 and his legal issues left him out of the band's touring line-up... and bassist Cliff Williams announced his retirement in 2016. After suffering a hearing loss, singer Brian Johnson took a leave from AC/DC in 2016 but has since returned to the band to tour in 2024 at age 76 w/ Angus Young on lead guitar (who is 69 yrs of age)
Great reaction! If you think this was awesome, PLEASE check out AC/DC - Thunderstruck (Live At River Plate, December 2009). Just watch the crowd reaction at the 2 minute mark and you will be in awe!
" Don't stress over things you have no control over" From a 58yr old on the other side of the Planet this right here is... FACTS!! Live by it. Lovin' most of ya work..lol i'm 58
The lead guitar 🎸 players name is Angus Young. He always does the duck walk in memory of Chuck Berry, who invented the duck walk. Brian Johnson is the lead singer's name. Angus is probably in his mid to late 70s in age, they're all pretty old guys, but they're still rocking the concerts today!❤
The first time I saw AC DC was in 1978 when Bon Scott was their vocalist , to me he's the real voice of AC DC . With respect to Brian Johnson I'm an old school fan .
Me too. It is just so unfair, Brian is propably the greatest, kindest and best frontman existing, but he could NOT replace Bon Scott on a 1:1 level. But he is the greatest second guy. Really, compared with frontmen from other bands much much better. But nobody could 100% replace Bon Scott.
How can anyone NOT know one of the greatest Rock band in the world? They are around for 50 years and have written some of the best Rock songs. Check out ... I don't even know where to start, T.N.T, Hells Bells, Back in Black, Highway to Hell, Whole lotta Rosie,Shot down in flames, Rock'n'Roll Train, Dirty deeds done dirt cheap, Let there be Rock, etc., etc., ....
Oh my God I LOVE YOUR REACTION‼️😎🤟🏼🤟🏼 Best ever!😄 Check them out at River Plate doing Thunderstruck. You’ll absolutely freak OUT‼️🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼 I’m 62 and still rockin’ out! Age isn’t anything!

Thanks for appreciation of the best Australian band ever ,the original lead singer died but what a replacement singer ,i did see about 50yrs ago Brian Johnson sing in his former band Geordie
The second and best frontman who died had a name, Bon Scott!!! Always will be their frontman to me, saw them so many times in Melbourne Australia in the 70’s as a teenager. He oozed charisma, Brian doesn’t.
AC/DC has a lot of great songs to jam to - 'Back in black' ... 'Highway to Hell' ... 'You shook me all night long' ... 'Moneytalks' ... 'Dirty deeds done dirt cheap' ... "Girl's got rhythm" ... 'Hells bells' ... 'Rock n roll train' ... 'Whole lotta Rosie'... 🔥🔥🤘🤘

Sadly the rhythm guitarist (Malcolm Young) passed due to illness in 2017 - the rest of these guys still perform, in their late 60's and early 70's now. Angus (the lead guitarist) still does his thing. A bit slower, maybe, but they still rock your socks off every time.
My cat TT, was watching a movie with me. He loved music. Especially rock & roll. When the credits started, the played AC/DC’s ‘Back in Black’, and the cat started walking in tune with the music! He was 20, and he had never done that. Guess who had to buy it for e😂😻

WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU WANT ME TO CHECK OUT FROM AC/DC?
Moneytalks! It was on the same album as Thunderstruck (The Razors Edge).
I don’t always listen to AC/DC, but when I do, my neighbors can here them too.
