Actually if you do your wedding on fall/winter and you have the financial possibility, do the coffee bar, is a life saver to keep people warm.

A coffee bar is such a cool ideas..I'm keeping that in mind
I think coffee stations can save oney. Instead of serving four courses you can do pre-dinner finger food, starters, mains, cake and fruit for dessert and then a coffee station and biscuits.

Planners tends to have a rather high price no matter what it is. I know the funeral planner we consolted for dads funeral multiplied the price for the food by 3 or 4, so when we looked it up alone we got it a lot cheaper. NEVER trust a planner compleatly.
I would never trust a planner that didn't come from a personal recommendation. The only exception would be if I knew a lot about the area in question & thus could easily spot something that wasn't right, or if I had a friend the planner would let be part of consultations just so I knew I had someone I trusted involved.

Her fee should have been $2600 she actually gave them a very good deal! Y’all are cheap and just like screw people over on their income but I bet you wouldn’t enjoy somebody doing the same thing to you!
My apologes if you got angry or upset by what I wrote, that was not the intention. However, judging by your reply there must have been a missunderstanding. We never said it was unresnable but rather told our stories and experiences.
When my father died the ”cheapest” that the consultant could go for food was I belive 60k higher than if wecalled and orderd our self.
Also, whats wrong with beeing frugal? There are far more important things to spend money on than something as absurd as a wedding. Furthermore there is research done thatindicates that the more you spend, the less likely you are to stay togeather.
They are adorable together. You can tell they love each other so much. I hope they are doing well.
If you go nearly double the budget how does that make you a good wedding planner?
the budget was unrealistic for the type and size of wedding they wanted- three course meal, bar tab, food drop, nearly a hundred guests, cake DJ, transport etc. To reach such a small budget they would have to find another venue and have half the guest list and cut some of the extras. I assue she had a chat with them about where they were going.
I’ve watched this planner before and she kept referring the couple to expensive vendors in that other episode. Seems she takes advantage of brides that aren’t familiar with the wedding world.
their budget was unrealistic for that many guests with a three course meal and an open bar. I'm amazed their budget even covered the venue costs, which they booked themselves. None of the prices were unreasonable.
WHY would she wait 12 weeks before getting a dress!? That could easily take a year from when you order to finishing all the alterations
Oh, it seem it’s ok to go over budget for what HE wants but not for what SHE wants. He’s a jerk!
he was sweet and reasonable He said he wasn't prepared to go over budget for his cake. The fountain was something he'd said they wanted and she'd agreed to and there probably was no negotiating with that. He just seems strong willed compared to her because she is so indecisive.

It was in the venue cost. He said to the venue manager that he would buy extra alcohol to make up for not buying the minimum of a hundred meals
