I have been using this technique, that I stumbled across out of blind curiosity, for about 6 months, now. You're the first person I have seen on CZcams using it. Great minds think alike!❤️
*You can also use this technique to hide ends, depending on color or variegation.

You can use four balls of wool instead of two,, just to save that thead that you are putting in to bring the thread in next row

Use 3+3+3+3 and so on, until your project is the length you want....then add 2 more stitches and proceed to make your project.

I'm using "Mondial" yarn at the moment. You can use acrylic, wool or cotton yarn for bags, even your sock yarn, just make sure that the yarn is all the same weight and type. 😊

It's essential to create this pattern.
I don’t think you need to weave in the yarn every row. Just let the yarn hang on from the last stitch and pick it up on the next row.
If you watch the tutorial, you'll notice that I don't weave in the ends every row.
