  • Thank god, this one didnt came in the winter 😅😂 The pre-heating system (the glowplugs) were out of order the whole week, making all the coldstarts pretty rough. But the weekend is here, so its time to figure out what gone wrong! Before throwing new parts at it, i go through a few obvious things. Well... it took a few hours to actually find it, completely manually, but i got the bastard ☝️😃
These are relatively simple electrical circuits, and the parts in it rarely go bad. With that assumption in mind it is then fairly logical that there is somehow a problem at supplying these parts with power, and its just the matter of searching for wires what are broken, dirt-gunk at the contacts and these kind of things. 90% of the time such repairs cost only time, and not a single penny on parts.
TIP OF THE DAY: Take a close look on the connector at 3:12, as the pins on the bottom half of the plug can be loose enough so when you plug the things back together the pins can be pushed back, hence making a bad connection. That can easily make the glowplugs not to work, as the power goes through that connection

I hope it helps! Good luck, and remember, the last thing you want to do on a cast iron engine is removing the old glow plugs, thats a nightmare. So double and even triple check everything else, it will only cost some time, and it will most likely be fixed
