This video of GMA's Meteorologist Ginger Zee in Palau's underwater natural wonderland is absolutely amazing and breathtakingly beautiful! Great footage, GMA and Ginger Zee!
"Lack of predators has caused them to lose their stinging cells". Hmmmmmmmm...not so sure about that. First off, these particular jellyfish still have the ability to sting...you're just not feeling it, it's that weak. Second. All Jellyfish that do have the ability to sting don't use it to ward off predators but to disable their prey so that they can be consumed - so it has more to with the ability to feed themselves then to use it as a defense mechanism. Most stinging jellyfish are carnivores, but these jellyfish rely on sunlight to excite dinoflagellates that reside inside jellyfish tissues and through the process of photosynthesis provide energy to the jellyfish in exchange for inorganic molecules.
I once did this in Turkey. Took me 15 minutes to get of the boat it was hella scary but once in there. It felt very special. Very slimy but they didn't sting tho. Wouldn't do it twice if i'm honest 🤣
Funny This lake was formed 12000 years ago when Ocean levels were higher and then receded. That would mean humans existed at that time and the climate changed and we survived. Well I'll be damned the world will not end if the climate gets warmer. (or colder) and we didn't even change it back then.
well i hate to break it you but give it 20 years or less and that whole reef will be dead. its just the way it is with corporate billionaires not giving two cents for their repercussions.

@@cupcakegaming797 no, moon jellyfish' stinging receptors are too weak for humans to feel.
@@cupcakegaming797 will you please elaborate on what you mean?
@@cupcakegaming797 oh sorry.
The moon jellyfish can sting humans too but not strong enough to sting like box jellyfish and other kind of it. Just my opinion...
